A lot of you have been asking about the materials. The ones I used are only available here in the Philippines but I have gathered some links on Amazon so you can get the right materials and create something like this. Gold Foil - amzn.to/3vxUR7X Gilding Glue - amzn.to/3cTCXpJ Chinese Brush - amzn.to/3JmnkTN *These are affiliate links. :)
@@NicoNg I appreciate the silence and just DOING IT!!! I think most UA-camrs LOVE the sound of their voice and think they're the next Martha Stewart. I just move on and don't bother with their channels again.
All of these materials can be found at Michael's. The gold foil, brushes, etc.. for the gilding glue however I'd buy that off Amazon as it will probably be super expensive at Michael's.
I use an inexpensive, old brush cause I don't want to ruin newer and more expensive brushes cause it will eventually ruin your brush. But to prevent that from happening, you have to clean it right away. I literally run to the bathroom to wash the brush right after my last brush stroke. I wash mine on running water and and I use hand soap. I usually rinse it several times to make sure no glue is left. :)
Thanks Nick! I left it gor about a few hours. Some area have thick glue, so it takes longer to dry. You'll know when its dry when it turns completely clear 😁
I tried different kinds of white liquid glue and when it is dry, after one hour , the gold foil don't stick at all, it works like when i use dry paper without glue. I have allways very thin gold leaf, that braks when you touch it.
Hey great video! I wanted to ask is there any way to make it more durable, like spray or something? I am planning to do this to my leather covered notebook , so I wanted to know if it stays on leather?
I don't think it will work with acrylic paint. Cause when the pain it wet, it will smudge when you press the foil on top of it. And when the acrylic paint is dry, the gold foil won't stick to it. :) Hope that helps
@@NicoNg I've used gold foil using liquid gold leaf glue as well as glue pens over dry mediums if all sorts, (even pastels, provided they have been fixed).
Someone answer me please 🥺 What kind of foil they used? Is it the gold transfer foil, Laser foil toner, or gold foil leaf? I really want to know. Thanks in advance!
Hi Lorie, I used the laser/toner transfer foil for this since it also works. Gold leaf is different, you have to brush away the excess gold, unlike with foil, you just peel off the top layer. :)
It's called transfer foil. I didn't get mine online. Bought them at an event YEARS ago. Just search it on amazon or your local ecommerce website. :) "Transfer Foil "

Love this gold lettering! How to clean the brush that is covered with craft gilding glue?

Bonjour, où trouver un rouleau doré comme le vôtre svp?
Amazing! How long did you leave the glue to dry for? Is it just until it goes clear? How long roughly?

Hey great video! I wanted to ask is there any way to make it more durable, like spray or something? I am planning to do this to my leather covered notebook , so I wanted to know if it stays on leather?
It gets easily scratched. Better to use hot foiling method for leather covers.
Very nice!!!! Thx!
Thanks! :)
Hello Sir, can I use regular acrylic paint to write those letters & will golden foil work on painted Acrylics? Thank you sir.
I don't think it will work with acrylic paint. Cause when the pain it wet, it will smudge when you press the foil on top of it. And when the acrylic paint is dry, the gold foil won't stick to it. :) Hope that helps

I'm wondering if this technique would work with regular colored infusible ink transfer paper.
Hmm... I haven't tried that but that sounds interesting!
@@NicoNg I ordered some of the marbled ink transfer paper, and it doesn't work at all. Oh, well. I tried.
@@nancypahl7755 sorry to hear that. There's always a lot of trial and error with crafting 😁
@nicoNg can you please recommend a good foil adhesive for fabric and real gold leaf and would be permenant on fabric? Thank you
Sorry, I've never applied gold leaf on fabric that's meant to be washed before.
Hi can I know the link for the shoppe gold foil
You can just search for transfer foil. I haven't purchased one from shopee in a while.
Hiya, can this be done on Perspex?
Sorry, but I haven't tried making this on Perspex. My guess is that it's harder to control the glue since the material is non-porous.
Why wait for the glue to dry?
The glue becomes tacky when it dries.
Thank you ‼️
Where u get the gold foil
Looks like Wrapping foil... If it is I'm getting it...
@@t5c2studio8 It's not the same as the wrapping foil. Here's the link on Amazon: amzn.to/3vxUR7X
I always love your artworks ! May I ask if where did you buy your gold foil?
I got mine from a print & packaging expo. But there are a lot of sellers in Shopee :)
When to purchase that gold roll? Please reply.i m looking for it for long time.
Bought mine from a local ecommerce, Shopee. You can check if your local stores have transfer foil. :)
Where we can get the material from?
Thanks
I'm not sure in your country. But you can find gilding size & gold transfer foil on Amazon :)
How do i find the gold rolls?
Depends where you're from. If you're from the US, I'm sure it's available on Amazon :)
