02:30 ► Are you interested in Dominic Cummings's attack on Boris Johnson and Matt Hancock?
10:14 ► Does Alexander Lukashenko's comb-over confirm he is a dictator?
14:23 ► Has the BBC's Call the Midwife become too 'woke'?
Not surprised about the midwife show have never watched it, but when you have a black woman acting Ann Boleyn in another show you know the World has gone mad.
yes, beat me to it.
whenever a show proves to be a success it guarantees a deluge of foreign actors/actresses in the second series, its blatant marxist communist brainwashing, why so blatant?,its because they are after your childrens minds not yours brits, they know you will do nothing to stop them, how do they know?by your absence of any effective opposition to them over the last 50 odd years, you keep voting liblabcon the very traitors who are doing it to you, your children, your country and your way of life and have been doing it to you for all of the aforementioned 50 odd years..
Perhaps we should be grateful that Ann Boleyn wasn't played by a black man. But seriously, if the aim of this mini-revolution were some concept of "colour neutrality", I could accept Anne Boleyn being played by a non-white actress. As long, of course, as no one would have any objection to Nelson Mandela being played by a white actor, or Montezuma by a redhead
The Anne boleyn thing is British cultural appropriation at best, at worst is defamation
Help to get rid of the bbc, stop giving them your money.
I usually agree with everything both say but I draw the line at getting rid of bank holidays. We work most of our lives and the odd opportunity to have an extra day off is invaluable.
100%
It's a bit weird that they state mandated.
I don’t know why Peter doesn’t start his own UA-cam channel. He’d have hundreds of thousand of subscribers in no time.
I think that’s why he is so popular: He’d never assume himself important enough to set up his own channel - unlike Owen ‘cancel culture doesn’t exist’ Jones.
Michael Fern
''I don’t know why Peter doesn’t start his own UA-cam channel. He’d have hundreds of thousand of subscribers in no time.''
Indeed he would, maybe even millions of gullible viewers, who like our much esteemed, Peter, have bought into the experimental vaccination programme under the guise of a permanent, spurious health crisis.
I have one pertinent question for you and all of the Peter Hitchen's mutual admiration society;- How is it physically possible for a person to constantly criticise gov. policies whilst at the same time complying with their ultimate agenda which is mass participation in an experimental vaccination programme?
Peter Church Maybe the fact that all humans are walking contradictions?
@@michaelfern4079 ''Maybe the fact that all humans are walking contradictions?''
Maybe so, but in the case of Peter Hitchens, the word is hypocritical, as opposed to contradictory. His continued stance on what is transpiring being a culmination of gov. incompetence further diminishes his credibility, particularly in the vein that his gov. critiques all point in the opposite direction.
Peter Church I don’t know his personal reasoning for taking the vaccine. It appears that is a hypocritical stance but he has many black holes in his thinking, like most of us do. I still think his books are invaluable as are these appearances too. I remain a big fan.
I left school on Friday and started work on Monday in 1970, serving an apprenticeship working on Cars and lorries. On 1/04/1975 i started my first trip to sea on the MV Willowbank as a Junior Engineer i visited many many countries, over the next 18 years, before starting work on the Tugs in Belfast, my career ended on 18/10/2018 because off injuries caused by an accident at work, so 48 years working, and i had to go on the sick till my retirement in December 2020, i got £63 a week, reduced because i had a Merchant Navy Officers Pension. Work all your life get next to nothing, come across the channel as an immigrant paid nothing to the Country and get everything available.
Mike Graham worked in a bakery? Now theres a f'king surprise
I wonder who ate all the pies.
He used to be that mannequin outside of old butchers aswell.
Ouch!
Lol
I agree with what you are saying about Call the Midwife. I grew up in the 50’s and 60’s and at one time I couldn’t wait to sit down and watch it as it was nostalgic. I had to stop watching it some time ago as I couldn’t abide the way the storylines were skewed into all this woke nonsense. It’s such a shame because originally they were based on the experiences of one of the midwives. If she were alive today, I wonder what she would think of the way the storyline has changed.
The whole Cummings thing is to keep the idea that a harder lockdown was and still is necessary.
That is True. Cummings is a self confessed LIAR. Hister 3
You got it.
That's it. It is to normalise lockdown and restrictions on civil liberties.
Yes true all scripted
News flash there are still a huge amount of people in the `U.K. who do not get paid holidays
If you are talking about the self-employed, a lot of them can also choose when they work.
Absolutely agree. When I watched this on C. T. M I said to my wife this is just propaganda. No depiction of the reality that most people's objection to abortion 50 years ago wasn't a desire to oppress women but their belief that an embryo was life which we have seemed to forget. So, so glad to see Peters column as it expressed exactly what I felt.
Absolutely true
So if embryos have the same rights as ‘people’ why do we not have funerals after miscarriages? Embryos are embryos, they might become people but, even without abortion, a very large number do not.
How to ruin the most successful tv drama in years... I watched avidly up to around series 7 but now they've run out of original material, they think they can write it themselves!! The BBC will never learn.
Mr. Hitchens on point as usual, what a brilliant bloke .....
Vaccine pusher.

I still have my 1950's Identity card, sadly though it expired in 1966...lol
Love listening to both Mike and Peter . I’m still hoping Peter will get his own show on Talk Radio . He’s so interesting and intelligent !! 😊
Preferred his brother though
Problem is nobody would get a word in lol
His interlect has been brought into question after taking an experimental vax for the possibility of travel and not for the health benefits it might bring him.
Are you Mrs Hitchens by any chance?
It will be the world's most boring crap taking over news night.
I wouldn't fancy Mike Graham running the country to be honest. And what makes him believe that Zero hour contract workers get paid holidays? 🤔
The Right needs to understand the working class struggle to survive much better.
@@evolassunglasses4673 Journalists certainly need to. I've lost count of the number of them banging on about how they lived in a council house when they were kids ( 40% of us did years ago) and insisting that puts them in the shoes of the real working class.
@@evolassunglasses4673 The right need to stop importing millions of serfs from poor countries to do zero hour contacts. I've done a few of those jobs and it's always just me, one other English person and the rest are Romanians & Africans.
Zero hours contract workers get paid holidays which are calculated on the average hrs worked in the previous 13 weeks. 20 days plus 8 public holidays per year by law. It changed a couple of years ago but untoward companies will try to dodge. By no means am I saying zero hour contracts should be allowed but at least that has changed for the better for those on such a contract.
@@carolecollins853 That does put them in the shoes of 'the real working class'. It's just that they decided, early on, that they didn't like those shoes, so they've got themselves some different pairs. Some people are not content to remain 'working class' for the whole of their lives and may well feel that they would like do anything in their power to give other people the opportunity for change, should they choose to take it.
"picking the bits of green leaf out of strawberries and putting hot jam on things, I mean that was proper work". I am not diminishing the work, but this just comes off as funny.

I was quite impressed when I heard Mirza talk. I think her communist past is about as relevant to her as it is to PH.
Similar: the worry is that they are ppl who think in manichean terms. Thus they may go from left to right, but still hold their beliefs in the same way: they still think in extreme pyhronnist terms, no nuance pre or pro conversion their way of thinking is the same. Worth listening sometimes but you worry not so much about their intellect as their judgement.
The BBC don’t do well presented drama
Presumably Mike got fired for eating all the pies...
I am starting to wonder if Talk Radio and LBC just hires most of their presenters from weight watchers, what with : Mike Graham, James Whale, Ash(fat Richard Herring lookalike), Cristo, James Max and Nick Ferrari(on LBC).
@@alphabetaxenonzzzcat it’s all that sitting on their arises in the studio!
all bbc dramas have had agendas this is not new ,they have always done this
normally i agree with Peter Hitchens but not on the subject of bank holidays ... they, together with the weekends, should be preserved as a buffer against the 24/7 society that we have become. i think it's important that as much of society as possible should have times to get together in order to keep the links between it strong. too many of the ills in society stem from people's isolation from it

Abortion isn’t a black or white issue (not referring to race), babies have the right to not be murdered. I believe there should be a time when the baby is considered a human being and perhaps the heart beat could be the determining factor.
They are now aborting up to 9 months, and during birth. Late term abortions are legislated so that no pain medication may be given to the infant, and should the baby be accidentally born alive, it is not allowed to be rescued. It must be left to die. US, Aus, NZ, Canada, these are the "civilized" countries that allow this.
It's a baby from conception. That's simply scientific fact. All that makes up that individual is there from the get-go.
I think we have to separate working and talking or writing for a living its a totally separate thing
Dreadful; people not wanting to work. They've both done it and don't want to again. Still; workshy gits shouldn't have more days off.
Do they do this same preamble every bank holiday?
To us Canadians Bank Holidays sounds weird.
Work is the curse of the drinking class.
How many adverts do they need???

Peter Hitchens is dangerously based.
@richtea do you mean 'debased' or 'biased' take you pick (I'm trying to be funny btw)

What does " based" mean in the context you're using it? I'm hearing that expression a lot lately
@@carolecollins853 It means that someone has common sense opinions, and is anchored to the real world.
Does a ley line cross his home?
I don't like working either, think I'll stay on benefits.
Call the Midwife always struck me as a strange show. Like most period dramas it's more about the present than the past. I always got the sense it was trying to present a cosy, idealised picture of Britain at that time. Everyone seems just a bit too nice, the main characters sometimes come across as oddly liberal. Compare it to something like Mad Men where traces of homophobia, sexism and racism are seen in even the most engaging protagonists of the show.
Hitchens is partially correct about abortion and its legalisation - the attitudes towards it in the NHS were more complicated than some people claim. Would suggest people research/form their own view on it for themselves however. Not entirely sure why he'd waste his time complaining to the BBC or why he even seemed to enjoy Call the Midwife at one point though (he does strike me as a sucker for nostalgia, which may explain it).
The idea that there's a division of the Belarus KGB dedicated to hunting down people who mock his combover is peak dystopia.
You've both lost the plot......
don't watch it , but my partner does...not too many male midwives are there ? happy to play gender stereo-types when it suits them. happy when women are best at certain things....like working in childrens nurseries, but never when men are best at certain things because we must only be winning 'cos there is a glass ceiling !?!. it's like Jordan Peterson says about all the Scandi nations.... they've preached equality for years now, yet all the nursing type professions are still heavily dominated by women. most of ITV's morning line up is a joke..entirely for women...this morning, lorraine, loose women......all of these prog's are stuffed full of typical things women like...ie the type of gender stereo-types these woke prog's are supposedly so against. baking , cooking, fashion, soaps, health stories, emotional heartbreaker stories etc.... not much sport...they don't try and inflict that on them too much. yet finally come to some prog's blokes might like..sport..and we have to put up with hopeless women quota pundits. all it reveals is that they don't even beleive this nonsense themselves..they just like p*ss*ng on other peoples chips.
I saw the headline 'Call the Midwife goes woke' and thought the BBC were changing the title to 'Call the Midperson' or even 'Call the Midfielder'. Really.
