Peter Hitchens: ‘Being dependent on an app to buy a pint of beer is worrying’

- Commentator Peter Hitchens says idea of having to be dependent on an app to buy a pint of beer “is worrying” after pubs reopened in England on the 12th of April.
Speaking to talkRADIO’s Mike Graham he said: “The whole thing was the wrong way around…here we are thanking Big Brother for being nice enough to let us sit outside.”
People need to go into pubs without a phone. I did last night. My local.. Just said "don't have a phone and am not signing in"... gave my order to the lad serving outside. He brought it although he did say it would be better with the app because otherwise he had to remember everything. It's my local and I feel sorry for the staff. But we need to make a stand and refuse.
A waiter that cannot remember is about as useful as and accountant who cannot add up 😆
I agree with your sentiment, but just sign in on paper lol. No point just being irritating to the pub without making any difference at all more broadly
@@madmickey78 lol on occasions an accountant that can't add up can be very useful!!! :)
@@TheCulturedThug you agree but just sign up anyway? contradiction in terms there mate.

Indeed so, Andrew, but he's definitely the right person for Talkradio.
Any person participating in the vaccination programme is the enemy.
Any person attributing what is transpiring to gov. incompetence is the enemy.
It's all part of the plan.
You will comply.
Totally agree......it's madness full stop
My local displays the QR code on a poster as they have to but they aren’t bothered about it and a local cafe has never asked for details. Hopefully more places will become the same and I will support them.
Tear down the QR posters
Depending on getting a vax just for a pint is equally worrying
Imagine if the Armed Forces had sworn allegance to President Blair!
After the p.c. woke brigade are finished the armed forces too will be reduced to box ticking rather than ability and duty.
Not as worrying as the experimental jab 🤷🏻♂️
Thank fuck Hitchens is back, I don't agree on everything he says but he's sure gonna say it well and cause you to think
I made 3 comments not one got through

Seriously, we as the people of this country far out number these idiots, we out number the police. How long are we going to sit back and just lazily watch them do this to us?
Martin
''Seriously, we as the people of this country far out number these idiots''
Seriously, Martin, if you believe that, you are indeed beyond redemption. I would estimate that the idiots outnumber the logical thinking by at least 100-1. Odds that will further lengthen as the fair weather dissidents become confronted with social exclusion.
@@peterchurch2412 Actually the Anti-lockdown protests on March 20th proved otherwise - there were enough protestors to keep the Police in their place who then were only able to arrest a few old women towards the end. See Subject Access.

@@yetagain5671 it's just crazy everywhere!
You are correct...but even then there will be a flaw in their logic. As how can it possibly be the unvaccinated fault, when we are not able to go to these establishments?
Exactly that's been the idea all along. Which is why they push the message that the vaccine "probably" reduces transmission. Potato Boy has dropped this in, as has the Queen. Despite "following the science" they haven't seen fit to provide any evidence. In the same way that China dropped out of the narrative in March last year and the government, and MSM, provoked the public to blame each other.
Based on the numbers I see wearing masks outside and even in their bloody cars, I'd say a lot of cretins will go along with any restrictions on their freedoms.

If everyone refused to go to the pub unless it was unconditional then the idiots in charge might realise that we won't play their stupid games. If you get the app and go for a drink you are causing the problem and you deserve to lose your liberty
Thats why we will lose our freedom . The public don't think outside the box . They want company and a pint now and sod the consequences. This instant gratification and indifference to our future is either a bury our heads in the sand reaction , a sheep mentality [ everybody else is doing it ] or just sheer stupidity probably all three ..

Brew your own beer / wine from foraged wild edibles. Do not give aparthid supporters a penny.
Peter are you regretting taking the jab yet?
We already have a tracking app in Saudi Arabia that you have to show every time you enter a building or a shop. The app also requires you to scan yourself in and out of every venue. The queues are often long because the app is slow and people are trying to log on. The app also has functions such as a vaccine passport that I'm sure will be activated at some future point. I've been vaccinated but still have to jump through all the hoops. Welcome to the future.
What if you don't have a SmartPhone? Is there an app for that?
I have friends and family who don't have a smart phone. I do have a smart phone but it stays at home now. I didn't load the track and trace app, and I won't be loading any future Government apps either.

@Steve Ruddick Correct.
