Maxxis Assegai and Dissector - NEW TYRE DAY

New tyre day, first ride on the Assegai & Dissector combo. Ran Maxis for a few years, been on Continental Kryptotal’s for the past year but I wanted those for winter and something faster rolling for summer.
Specs are:
Assegai 3C MaxxTerra EXO+ casing, 2.6” wide on the front
Dissector 3C MaxxTerra EXO+ casing, 2.4” wide on the rear
They didn’t feel much different, but despite carrying a self inflicted ailment I matched my fastest ever time down Tornado Alley, at Sherwood Pines and I didn’t feel tired.
Looking forward to another run, when I’ve had less festivities on previous days.

Nice one; I’ve used to have some magic Mary’s years ago on a 26” bike, they were good.
I love the Reactor, feels planted yet playful . Not the lightest trail bike, even being made from Carbon, but it takes anything I throw at it (which admittedly isn’t much).
