I can imagine this playing in the credits of a really disturbing psychological horror. It would fit with the uneasiness the people would already feel make them wish they had never watched the movie.
You'd think that it wouldn't be a psychological horror since it has such a stereotypical slasher name, but it really is. It uses atmosphere and mystery to make it scarier. When Kirk was bludgeoned with a sledgehammer, Leatherface closed the door, making you automatically start thinking up the worst possible unspeakable acts occurring behind that door. In the second half of the movie, it is literally torture. It uses quick close up shots to Sally's eyes to make you really feel as insane as her. At the end of the movie, Leatherface is dancing angrily with his chainsaw, when it cuts to black abruptly. for a good ten seconds, it is a black screen with almost inaudible white noise, giving you time to contemplate what you just witnessed, making it all the more disturbing.
The image and the music really give you a sense that you’ve seen something you shouldn’t. The disturbingly human gathering of owls, watching you intrude on them. A moment of recognition, and a moment of regretting it.

This image is so creepy because it resembles many different kinds of fears. Being alone. Being watched. Being outnumbered. Being judged. And so on. And the worst part is, the image is so well made you don’t have to have these fears yourself to be creeped out by this image.
Everytime I listen to "weird" and otherworldly music like this I always think how the authors come up with their work. I have always admired artists who come up with something that's different. Something that truly makes us think about life, existence and the unknown.

I love this type of music! Is just so dark and insidious. I live close to a village and I always go to the abandoned gardens from there on the night listening to this type of soundtracks. Maybe someday a gate of hell will open under my legs and I will disappear, hopefully.
Most movies can't really be done without a soundtrack, and some can go without one, but when it comes to horror movies, they really miss the mark all the time when it comes to the soundtrack, let alone the actual film itself. It takes a really special kind of track to really instill fear and unease, but most of them never make it to movies.
This soundtrack reminds me of the AMC show The Terror. No idea why. This song wasn't used. Nothing like it. But it reminds me of it all the same. The polar white nothing. The cold. The ice. ... It's a good show.

I love this type of music! Is just so dark and insidious. I live close to a village and I always go to the abandoned gardens from there on the night listening to this type of soundtracks. Maybe someday a gate of hell will open under my legs and I will disappear, hopefully.
Most movies can't really be done without a soundtrack, and some can go without one, but when it comes to horror movies, they really miss the mark all the time when it comes to the soundtrack, let alone the actual film itself. It takes a really special kind of track to really instill fear and unease, but most of them never make it to movies.
This soundtrack reminds me of the AMC show The Terror.

I don't know why but, I can't stop thinking about this song. I get that it could be spooky, but I feel calm. It sounds so gentle yet, it has a "oh no! Run away!" Vibe. It kinda reminds me of my grandparents. It reminds me of the feeling of when my friend commited suicide. That feeling of when my dog died. That peaceful feeling of death. Right now it feels like that too.

To me this song describes the feeling of getting traumatized again and again by the same people and those whom are similar the feeling of dread seeps in dealing with this type of horrid reality and seeing things you shouldn’t and being told the most terrible and disgusting things repeatedly to the point where you lose yourself and you act on impulse and harm yourself and others on accident and on purpose the pain you experience is huge yet you feel guilt and you see others going through the same on the daily some whom are very close you can see how the people judge you for it when your a victim you get told you can’t do it as you spiral and go further down as you question reality and yourself you question who you are and your life as you look back and see your hidden trauma and realize the truth that your disturbed for several reasons and that you have been abused ever since you where young and it changed a lot about childhood and the way you feel now so you feel this empathy for people whom you see spiraling the same way you did ( I might have gone deep inside this and all this may be bias cause of my problems)
