Personally I think this song is more sad than scary. It kinda sounds like how the aftermath of a traumatic event feels, your brain fighting between terror and a forced, unnatural calmness.
Sounds like the "Worst Ending" to a game. Your friends are dead, hope is lost, the villain has won and the world is helpless as their schemes begin to unfold.
I can imagine this playing in the credits of a really disturbing psychological horror. It would fit with the uneasiness the people would already feel make them wish they had never watched the movie.
You'd think that it wouldn't be a psychological horror since it has such a stereotypical slasher name, but it really is. It uses atmosphere and mystery to make it scarier. When Kirk was bludgeoned with a sledgehammer, Leatherface closed the door, making you automatically start thinking up the worst possible unspeakable acts occurring behind that door. In the second half of the movie, it is literally torture. It uses quick close up shots to Sally's eyes to make you really feel as insane as her. At the end of the movie, Leatherface is dancing angrily with his chainsaw, when it cuts to black abruptly. for a good ten seconds, it is a black screen with almost inaudible white noise, giving you time to contemplate what you just witnessed, making it all the more disturbing.
The image and the music really give you a sense that you’ve seen something you shouldn’t. The disturbingly human gathering of owls, watching you intrude on them. A moment of recognition, and a moment of regretting it.

“I’m Thinking Of Ending Things” (the film, not the book) reminded me of this. It would be perfect for the end. Imagine a 30 second lingering shot on the snow-covered car as this song plays, then continues to play during the credits.
@@BenjaminGessel idk, if I was wandering around a desolate forest with a haze that lingered around the trees, I think I'd rather see a cat standing in the distant fog than a goat.

Man, I needed exactly this kind of music yesterday, I had it in my head before I fell asleep - and few hours later, I found lowrecase by accident :) Lucky me! This is beautifull
The picture fits so good actually. You stumbled on a meeting of owls, listening to the speaker in pure silence, in a circle, like humans. Something you don't supposed to see...
“You have been judged by Our Court and are deemed unfit to be considered part of Our Family.” “I have seen what you do together in this house of horrors, and I want no part in any family like yours.” “Then fly little bird, for you yet stand on Our Property and if you are not Our Kin, then you will be Our Prey.”
My interpretation of this picture is that something has disturbed the status quo of the community momentarily and the most "brave" or "curious" is the one in the middle whild the rest just observe in a state of judgmental silence
If you listen to this song at midnight with the lights off three nights in a row successfully, you will have a safe and happy future. On the third night of listening, DO NOT turn around until the end.

Man, I needed exactly this kind of music yesterday, I had it in my head before I fell asleep - and few hours later, I found lowrecase by accident :) Lucky me! This is beautifull
This plays internally in my head so many times I swear
This make the thoughts stop. Watching sleepless into the darkness in my room and waiting.
I actually really like this I find it very calming
if you lived in a horror arg, this is the music that you’d wake up to every day
Human music. I like it
man after man is a great book.
@@uuves what?
@@shalissawhojeschowski2873 your profile image is from a book called 'man after man'. google it. its really great.
came back here like 50th time, that's some sort of a black magic, man
Good lord, finally something I can sleep to.
Would you look at that, 666 likes. How fitting for music like this.
THIS MAKES ME FEEL AN UNGODLY AMOUNT OF DISCOMFORT WHAT THE HELL
Thanks andrew for the nightmares
this is really cool, i was looking for something different for a while now. I gotta say i love it.
this is so eerie yet beautiful. 🧡
The picture is from "Thou - The Archer and the Owle", info from @Vincent Orange
The picture fits so good actually. You stumbled on a meeting of owls, listening to the speaker in pure silence, in a circle, like humans.
Something you don't supposed to see...
One of the best tracks from Steve Roden, easily
I just had to do 10 minutes of shoulder exercises and this song helped me through it.
One of the owls on the lower right just fucking moved. I swear to god.
When?
Call me a psychopath, but I felt so calm and safe while listening to this. It helped me with my insomnia, and about three minutes in, I fell asleep
I enjoy listening to scary music. It helps calm my mind and makes me less scared of whatever my fears revolve around.
It is soothing, slow and low
definitely goes perfectly into my collection
“You have been judged by Our Court and are deemed unfit to be considered part of Our Family.”
“I have seen what you do together in this house of horrors, and I want no part in any family like yours.”
“Then fly little bird, for you yet stand on Our Property and if you are not Our Kin, then you will be Our Prey.”
Court of Owls?
My interpretation of this picture is that something has disturbed the status quo of the community momentarily and the most "brave" or "curious" is the one in the middle whild the rest just observe in a state of judgmental silence
I get this deep feeling of primal fear like something is not right while listening to this
Oh hell yeah this makes me wanna dance
Came back after many years to listen again.
If you listen to this song at midnight with the lights off three nights in a row successfully, you will have a safe and happy future. On the third night of listening, DO NOT turn around until the end.
