This game is nice because not only is it lovely to look at, but it is easy to learn, quick to play, but it has definite strategy. Thanks for the playthrough.
Is this a deluxe edition or did they revise the components? I have the one with inventory just indicated by a token in notches on the side of the board (which everyone forgets to do). Also, kudos to Lincoln for his sartorial excellence!
@39:47 😂😂 Love Dave. I like how simple and relatively quick this game is, and how the language isn't a problem until the expansion is added. But felt like its system offers little strategy. Also not a fan of constantly pushing pieces around. They could have at least made the river double-boarded so they slid in, like the 17-counter in the player board! Not to mention how big the board is for no reason (aside from aesthetics)
That big board is only a problem with the deluxe version. Normal version has just the river pieces (cardboard art), and each player board has vertical notches for the inventory counter, giving the game a much smaller footprint.
One thing I don't like is that the drawer can pick/feel desired "shapes" when drawing from the bag. I wonder if a "reverse" house rule is better - place "colors" on the river and build the same "shape" in a given column in one's board instead?
In the KS, a bunch of people asked about people being able to feel the shapes and they pointed out that they just didn't have a problem with that in playtesting. Which makes perfect sense. There's really no fun in cheating like that.
Your playthroughs are always top-notch! Thanks for the clear instructions and insightful commentary! 💯
Game night and GameGenic - A stellar combo🥰🥰 Another awesome show and great game to add to my shelves🥰🥰
I just knew I would like this game when it first was released, and I was right this is gorgeous

27:00 there are two 'extra' colours with at least one player count.
Great video. I just bought this in Australia.

Jackie! This is the deluxe version. It is nice but it is a little expensive. See you soon! -Lincoln

Not Dave with a Cosby reference!
I’m so excited to watch this!! Love this game!!
This is such a great game
When you draw tiles from the lake, you ALWAYS draw 4. Any overflow goes to negative points. You can’t draw fewer than 4. So y’all played that wrong.
