Awesome video! This is the first one I've found that gives an ENTIRE landing at a class D airport. All of the others just seem to show inbound, landing, switching to ground, and that's it. They don't show the communications with ground control, which is something that a new pilot like myself is not proficient at, since I got my license at a non-towered field.
i know Im randomly asking but does someone know of a tool to log back into an instagram account? I was dumb lost my account password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me
@Malcolm Cruz thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and im in the hacking process now. Takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
This is not an aviation question, but I watch lots of videos where ATC audio to other planes obscures the CFI. I’m wondering if a ‘ two track ‘ audio recorder could be used such that ATC and the CFI audio were on separate audio tracks. Then, when appropriate the ATC audio could be muted or reduced. . . . just an idea 🙂
great vid, it eases the fear of the un-known, and the four-[ w w w ws ] communications-clear, need not be perfect, but understandable! thanks, both of you
Instructor talks WAY TOO FAST. That type of fast talking would get on my nerves and slow my learning by the process of distraction. I can't possibly concentrate on what I'm doing when this guy sounds like a Marine drill instructor. Just watching this video, I can feel the poor girl's pressure. I bet she can't wait for this lesson to be over so she could get the hell out of there. If I had a teacher like this I'd switch instructors faster than he can say 786Echo. No criticism of the instructor's content, it's good stuff, it's just his delivery style . He should be in a talk-fast contest with about a dozen air traffic controllers. Too bad he can't speak slower and calmer to make the student feel relaxed, more receptive, and more confident.
Its a great thing to include, helps them to identify if your transponder agrees with what you are telling them for altitude. Just depends on frequency congestion and the specific circumstances, but I would say try to include it in your position report when possible.
Just the bleed through of another guys strobe/beacon or some other electrical interference. It's common to hear than, and supper annoying when you are the one flying the airplane that is constantly making that noise on the radio!

Bravo to the student pilot Stephanie, juggling all the tasks and keeping cool!

@Malcolm Cruz it did the trick and I now got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thank you so much, you saved my account !
@Alvaro Fletcher no problem xD
When would you have to talk to approach and also can you explain when and if you use center control flying vfr at a lower altitude?
excellent job Stephanie!!
Absolutely love that you have a student flying! She asks the questions I would have asked!
Incredible videos Jon!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Anyone else find it fun to see Steph way back when she was a baby pilot? Great video Jon, thanks!
The people who work the KPGD are awesome! Thanks for the video.

Carb heat . . . ‘ green arc ‘ 10:20
Sorry, which green arc is being referred to ?
The green arc on tachometer.

great video as usual, learned a lot thank you
BTW, I did give this video a thumbs up!
Verbal instructions, slow down, I have 9000 hours and I still like an instructor or controller to speak softly and slow down
For "Where you are" I usually try to give altitude along with the distance. what are your thoughts on this?

How come the instructor it doesn’t correct the information,,!! She said (Cessna) !!
My first time flying a non cessna!
He politely chimed in clarifying their call sign, which time he smoothed in "warrior " after which she continued with "warrior"...
What was that alarm going through the mics on the transmissions of that other aircraft on frequency at the end of the video?

Ahhh, that makes sense.
Just went onto skyward.io and found out that I would need to have a COA or an FAA approved thingaling to fly a drone in my area. #sad
