This looks amazing! If you’re really worried about the engine, there’s tons of aluminum/metal polish compounds on the market. That’s something you could 100% do by hand with a rag, or with just a drill and buffer wheel. It won’t make it look fresh off the assembly line, but it will help it shine!
Honestly, that video where you found it ruined was one of the only times a UA-cam video nearly made me cry. That was so inordinately fucked up and it was extremely sad that happened to you. This puts a smile on my face.
It sucks that this happened in the first place, but it's good to have a project that you can do and get ur mind off things, and just enjoy refreshing you bike. Looking real good
The windows on the indicators is so you don’t leave your signals on as bikes don’t have self cancelling signals. Chain, take it off and soak in some rust eater and then soak in some oil for a day or two. Good to see it almost roadworthy!!! 🎉
Engine casings, brush or spray on alloy paint will tidy them up a treat then go over with a clear coat to seal it in and will look new for years. If they are aluminium (note the correct extra "i" America...) you can with a dremel and some alloy polish make them like chrome then seal them with an acrylic lacquer.
It's really coming along, I can't wait for the, "first ride" video once it's completed. Don't sweat it about not making videos of the build, it is good for a man to have a project that he can pour himself into without any external pressure such as making it into a video that people will enjoy. Maintain the sanctity of that build being just for yourself.
Lovely work! It really shows that you truly appreciate this bike. Given the history, and the fact that this bike will stand out when parked anywhere, I would consider blurring the shots of the key ( read about the whole TSA system key/Wired fiasco) - the tech has developed so much that it quite easy to produce replica keys from high resolution pics of keys. Anyway, I reckon this bike will not spend much time being parked in high visibility public spots. Safe riding!
Never feel like you've gone "too far", you can never go too far with your own bike, especially one that has been through hell and raised from the dead. I bought a '22 Super Cub last year and I'm still tinkering with it and making it my own, I've put over $1000 into it to make it really unique and stand out from others.
Its good to see the progress on this, its a shame that one stupid thing that a group of people could set you back that far but at the end of this hopefully you will feel more attatched to the bike having repaired it.
I can't believe in 1980/81 me and my mates were buying these things for 30/40 quid and would wreck them offroading then on my 11th birthday my parents bought me a yz80, I never rode one of them ever again... 😂
You should definitely get that engine Vapor blasted. I'm sure there's willing UA-camr with a vapor blast cabinet willing to make a collaboration. If not it's not that expensive to get done and it'll make it look brand new again.
I don't know if I have mentioned this on a previous video, but there is a fellow brit that makes a series where he travels around the world with his C90 and he is very funny, his channel is called C90 Adventures, I absolutely recommend checking him out, though, he certainly doesn't treat his C90 as nicely as you do.
I’m jealous that your seat latches down. Mine (a 2008 model) just relies on the suction cups and those being worn out, the seat moves around all over the place. Bizarre that they removed the latch.
Be careful buying NOS. A lot of it is new new stock from a Chinese clone factory with typical Chinese characteristics like the worst part money can buy.
Use brasso on the engine, you will remove a lot of the oxides and make it look loads better. You might want to get both the tin with the fluff inside and the liquid stuff too which you can use with a dremmel and polishing heads for the harder to reach bits. You then can use ceramic paint (small tins are sold in Boys) and you can repaint the fins and paint in thr HONDA text to make it pop
Gratz there m8, I am just beginning to work up needing a complete cable set to put my MK1 Vespa T5 back on the road since it got vandalised by some kid. Dunno why folks won't leave other folks property alone :( Still it goes MoT exempt next year and tax exempt year after but I want one last MoT before that, super custom too recently got some "cylon" indicators for it which are shaped like the visors on the Cylon soldiers in Battlestar Galactica but yellow lens not red but super funky... You should wander along to a scooter rally if you get a chance, see what the fuss is all about with us oldies, smell of two stroke and lots of noise, even some famous faces turn up to some of 'em and Craig Charles does some DJ'ing from time to time at 'em.
I’m so glad to see you have reclaimed this bike and done it good. It was definitely a sad day when I saw what had happened to it. I have a custom orange 2009 Yamaha C3 and it’s my baby! Wish I knew my way around working on it tho
I can tell from the work you've done and the way you talk you really love your Honda and I can't wait to see if completed and running again. Maybe you and Mymatevince could meet up in your project vehicles for a colab video 😊
id assume the hole in the indicator is because the indicators arent self cancelling? So that you can see if you've left them on? When i had my first bike i used to leave indicators on all the time. It's looking good though! Well done :)
I still can't believe someone stole it and then set it on fire. Like, it feels like someone did it out of hate or spite. It's really messed up. Did you ever find out who did it?
Hi ,its good to see your bike getting together. For gas tank you can use rust remover liquids like Evapo-Rust and its better to do its sooner . Dont use it like that, the more you wait more rust you must take care of. @jcondon1 James Condon has many videos about how he cleans gas tanks and many information about small engines.
So glad to see this bike taking shape! It’s amazing you’re using so many Honda parts! Usually the Cubs get outfitted with a lot of knockoff parts. Looking forward to seeing the results!
Yes! Those bikes are classics. such a fun class. I have a klx 110 pitbike. One of the most fun things to do is ride a motorcycle. You can get some aluminum polish for the engine and clean it up. It will shine!

I'm so glad you never gave up on the Bike after it's unplanned BBQ and swim.
I'd leave the engine as it is - it has a great patina!

I remember seeing the first video of it being stolen. Glad to see it’s almost fixed!
12:46 I wanna learn how to make muffins from u 😭 lol
Come on lads I'm like 173! Let's see the muffins!
The windows on the indicators is so you don’t leave your signals on as bikes don’t have self cancelling signals. Chain, take it off and soak in some rust eater and then soak in some oil for a day or two. Good to see it almost roadworthy!!! 🎉
Look into dry ice blasting, it makes old engines look like brand new, and works well with any metal!
The engine can be ice blasted, and it will look brand new. You can take it just like that and they can blast it.
Try David silver spares they have new old stock for Honda parts

Yaaay! Another scooter video from Elliot!!!

New old rubber...for your protection

you'll want to make sure the heat hasn't warped the frame
man I remember when this got stolen, completely forgot about it. Glad it's coming together
glad to see you managed to salvage it after the damage, just goes to show nothing is unrepairable with the right mindset :)
I really enjoyed this video. Your bike reminds me of Nesquik chocolate milk. Eagerly awaiting muffin tutorial.
SHOW THE FEET!!! 😂 seriously, really happy to see it coming back to life, well done you 👍🏻
I can't believe in 1980/81 me and my mates were buying these things for 30/40 quid and would wreck them offroading then on my 11th birthday my parents bought me a yz80, I never rode one of them ever again... 😂

"I'm very conscious about showing my feet."
Don't do it without charging for it. 💵

Now we'll never know how he makes muffins because the video has more than precisely 174 likes.

You can get rid of all the rust with WD-40 and a wire brush. That way won't cost you an arm and a leg for hardware and replacement parts.

A nice happy ending to a sorry situation. You are doing God's work...
Liked for muffins... and because it's cool to see the progress on the bike
Getting good! Can't wait to see the finished results! (also can't wait for muffins 😅)
I’m so glad to see you have reclaimed this bike and done it good. It was definitely a sad day when I saw what had happened to it. I have a custom orange 2009 Yamaha C3 and it’s my baby! Wish I knew my way around working on it tho
I could design and 3D print pretty much any plastic part you need if you have the dimensions or reference
I can tell from the work you've done and the way you talk you really love your Honda and I can't wait to see if completed and running again. Maybe you and Mymatevince could meet up in your project vehicles for a colab video 😊

Nice! You should put something under the feet of the bike stand to prevent scratches on your floor
Don't show keys online. People can clone them from images.
Honestly, just dont worry about doing lots of videos on the bike. Let yourself have a hobby that isnt part of your job
What model of electric longboard is that? 🤔 A video on that would be really really cool.

Please say you won't leave it outside unattended now. If those idiot teens got their hands on it again... doesn't bear thinking about.
You might be able to dry ice blast the engine to tidy it up. Don’t think it would need removing, either 🙂
It's great to see how the bike is coming back together! It really is looking amazing. Can't wait to see how well it turns out!
Honestly, you didn't deserve to have your bike stolen.
Pretty sure my brother still has one of these rotting in the corner of his yard. He called it a "dogbox".
I'd imagine after this is done you're probably going to continue to park it in the living room just so it doesn't get stolen again
Autosol will do that engine, if not Simoniz Aluminium Engine Enamel.
The Reborn Version! looks amazing 👌🏻
Looking forward to "Cooking with Elliot: Muffin' "

I'd personally leave the engine as is. You've replaced so much that it would be nice to have some of the original bike left over.
I think the 79-80 ATC110 engine I have would fit on that bike
What's the story here? Did someone strip his bike and he's restoring it?
I still can't believe someone stole it and then set it on fire. Like, it feels like someone did it out of hate or spite. It's really messed up. Did you ever find out who did it?
so whos going to tell him about the daytona engines and big bore kits, no need to get new old stock when there is a whole aftermark parts scene
The motorcycle is looking great, keep it up!
Were the criminals ever found and made to pay?
How did you get it back I’m interested to know
Can’t wait for the muffins video!

Here you go, Muffin Man !
I'd recommend not showing your keys on the internet, they're very easy to copy just from a blurry image or moving video.
i will never ever let this bike out of my sight. it may never even leave my house!
My dad gad a blue c90 class
Make the muffins!!!
Gimme the muffin vlog!
So glad to see this bike taking shape! It’s amazing you’re using so many Honda parts! Usually the Cubs get outfitted with a lot of knockoff parts. Looking forward to seeing the results!

Hey can we get a new update!?
IT'S MUFFIN TIME!
Well done Elliot, the bike looks fantastic!!! ❤ 82 likes already! Muffins!
Really happy for you, Elliot! Keep up the good work, man. You have saved this bike twice already! Hope you get to enjoy it forever now.
Hmmm muffins…. 🤤
It looks like you've made amazing progress on this. I'm glad you're keeping this hobby for yourself. Everyone deserves something that's just for them.
I have a honda ss50 from 1967 and really look forward to these videos. Please more bike updates
Muffins! 🎉🎉🎉
Everyone always has at least one hobby they like doing thats just away from work. I respect the vibe, its cool to see a bike update though regardless.
This is awesome to see!!! Glad it’s nearly complete. Best of luck on getting it finished.
