    Thank you! My $3,000 disability chair has been quite a letdown. I struggle with chronic back and pelvic pain, and what I really need is something soft-like sitting on a cloud. Unfortunately, I feel more like I'm perched on a hail storm instead. The chair is covered in zippers. But now, I feel ready to tackle this project and transform it into the comfy, fluffy cloud I’ve been dreaming of. 💕

    thanks! My footrest on my recliner thats only a year old is completely separated/squished up so Im going to add some padding to the footrest. Mine doens't have a zipper but I can see it will be super easy to sew up or I many even add a zipper!

    I have a kid with a condition that causes her to get sick fairly often. We have almost this exact recliner. She vomited in it this weekend. Do you have any recommendations on how best to get it clean? We steam cleaned it to start with, but I feel like we aren't getting all the way down into it. Thanks!

    I have a reclining sofa and the piece my husband sits in has a caved in adjustable headrest with NO ZIPPER. I would like to cut it and restuff. It. He NEVER adjusts the headrest forward so I’m thinking I might be able to do a rough sewing job that would not be see from any angle. Do you think this is feasible? Any suggestion for the type of filler? Thanks. Love your video.

    • @the323vlog4
      @the323vlog4  Рік тому +2

      Polyfil is the most common stuffing in the back rest. If you remove the backrest from the seat and remove all of the staples On the back, you could gain access to add stuffing. If there is no zipper on the inside, cutting a slit, adding poly fill, and then sewing it back shade will work just fine. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend doing it from the front side.

    My recliner does not have zippers on it like the one you have shown. So this did not help me. I thought it would be as simple as that but. This will have to be taken apart then stuffing adding then put back together. Not an east to do. Ill just buy a new chair. Thanks for the video. You did great

    • @the323vlog4

      Yes, the style you have is quite difficult to add padding to. I don’t blame you for your decision :)

    What about the footrest? This recliner isn't even a year old yet and is sagging down where the feet and ankles go. There's no zipper down there but I think I can remove the Staples and then stuff it with polyfill re staple it?

    • @the323vlog4
      @the323vlog4  Рік тому

      They usually have zippers on the underneath side? You don’t see any on your model?

    • @BugzKiller
      @BugzKiller Рік тому +1

      I think it's made my Lane. No all that's under there is cloth with Staples in it for the footrest. The back like you did has a zipper but there's two straps coming down for reinforcements. So I would have to work around those straps to put the stuffing in for the lower back part. Thank you for the reply though

    • @the323vlog4
      @the323vlog4  Рік тому

    • @the323vlog4

    • @the323vlog4

      After you remove the arm casing, if there are no zippers you’re pretty much stuck splitting a seam, removing the padding and then re-stitching it

    • @the323vlog4
      @the323vlog4  3 роки тому +2

      More than likely have to unbolt it for the mechanism, remove all the staples and add additional padding. Unless you have one where there is a zipper. Some models have zippers are you can easily add padding.
