He has snacks and on one trip had to eat his breakfast for dinner as the foreign MRE he brought out camping was terrible and likely very old. Very unusual.

It’s safe to say that no tent is “perfect”. Today, they normally range from “good” to “excellent”. Where and how they are used can vary satisfaction up or down, and various users will report differently. Of course there are a few tent shelters that will perform poorly over various uses and raters. But fortunately, not many.
We are very fortunate today compared to 60-70 years ago. And yet, lots of folks enjoyed camping that long ago and a few thousand years before that. Technology, imagination, engineering, and open markets have benefitted us immensely. THANK YOU!

I could be wrong but I don't think this channel is geared for high end/super expensive product reviews. A company like Hilleberg might be the exception. But in today's economic climate, I believe a lot of us are looking for a balance of quality vs value.

Hi from the UK Luke, sat here watching another video of yours and a bit of winter finally showing for you. Same here for the last 3 days with no more than 3-4cm of snow. Would you believe schools and colleges shut. Teachers can't make it in to school. Trains and buses cancelled. Talk about snowflakes! Pun intended! Jeez, here in the uk everything seems to grind to a halt at the first whiff of winter. I'm 78 and we used to have regular heavy snow in winter. We walked to school with snow over the tops of our wellington boots, got to school (and the teachers) and sat all day with wet clothes and very little, if any, heating. We're still here! Trains won't run if autumn leaves are on the tracks, wrong kind of snow on loco's stops 'em running. Welcome to the modern world! I only came on the comment to ask about the Jalapeno Cheddar biscuits and sausage gravy. What company is it and do you know if the sell w/wide? I wish I was fit enough to camp again. You are an inspiration. Thanks Luke.

I'm sticking with Big Agnes Tents. I've used the Mad House 6 in all kinds of weather Summer and Winter. The tent is rock solid. I think one of the reasons I enjoy watching you is because you remind me of my dad not a version of him that I’d like to remember. Really enjoy your stories. Though does Susie know what you did to get with girls?
Have littles now so can’t really get out so this is the next best thing. Would prefer cheap - mid range gear to review but my main issue is that we have the chronic heat and humidity here. It’d be like camping in Florida. So reviewing stuff for my climate doesn’t really match with yours.

How about doing an episode on a kit that you could put together for anyone finding themselves in a homeless situation. I am in a semi rural area in the "snowbelt" and I discovered that there was homeless people who were living in tents just outside of town, in the bush. I was wondering what they would need to make it through the Winter. We're near the shore of Lake Huron and it gets really cold here in the Winter. Some of the homeless are widows that couldn't make the bills on their own. I doubt they would have many survival skills, if any. I don't know what they do for the bathroom and washing up, it's terrible.

Oh man, when you ate the mashed potatoes and shook your head, I thought...they are mashed potatoes...they all taste pretty much the same...and just then, yup! You said my thoughts on that...haha...because you KNOW we always wait to see what you think of dinner, remember about 8 months ago you had that bag that was nasty and you spit it out, it was bad...we remember and camp vicariously LOL

Those were instant mashed potatoes- good when you are in a hurry, tasty nonetheless
Dinty Moore Beef Stew out of a can over the instant mashed potatoes- a quick prepper meal or camping meal

Please! I have been looking at these tents for several years now and am by no means financially well off, so would definitely love for you to do a review of the Russian bear tents and stoves. The fact that they are so expensive makes it such a gamble and you would be someone I would trust to give a fair and honest review before gambling on their product. Personally I love the look of their camo tents.

I and I'm sure most others have seen a lot of the RBT's. They seem to be worth the money as they are over built. Those tents are worth it, if you can afford it. The only common complaint is, they can get too hot inside even in sub zero temps. Use your own judgement and I'm sure some will appreciate you honest review if you choose to do so. I know you would like to be in one of them if it is -40 out. Take care and God bless.

Where I live we only get 6” of rain annually. 4” at once would be Noah’s flood here.
