About the Silver question, I'd say the reason he was a rival at first was also his tunnel vision preventing him from working with others. But for Silver now, I just have this quesrion: Why do rivals need to have conflicting ideas to be rivals? Rivals can still be friends. Iron sharpens iron, and healthy competition can still make you stronger
I'm all for Team Cat. But it's a shame Sega doesn't acknowledge Honey in the modern games. If she made even one mainline return besides cameos in comics, fans would lose their minds. Honey is shockingly popular in the Sonic fandom. I see her everywhere now, not that I'm complaining. she's a charismatic but criminally neglected character.
I have heard that the Lemon Tree song - despite being kinda calm and catchy - has some fairly serious grief/abandonment themes. So.... if the characters were excited for some new adventure (blue blue sky) but it never happened for them and instead they are just stuck heartbroken and waiting around for it to happen and are constantly seeing something that reminds them of that lost potential (lemon tree).... That kind of situation, I think. And the answer would be... Most of the characters wouldn't notice. Because this is just another Tuesday for them. And even the few who did notice probably wouldn't remark on it. They'd all get reset and/or distracted by whatever crisis of the week happened next. After reading the synopsis of Sonic issue 76, I understand Sonic and his friends are going to split into teams to investigate Clutch. My question is if they will be in teams like Sonic Heroes, there will be duos, or if there will be two sides as seen in the conceptual art of Aaron Hammerstrom, that is, the Sonic team made up of Tangle, Whisper or Jewels while in the Blaze team There are Silver, Tails and Amy.
Greetings Mr. Flynn! I am a huge fan of the IDW Sonic comic book series (including all of it's mini-stories) as well as your contributions to the Sonic the Hedgehog video game franchise, especially your vast, in-depth knowledge on series lore and the way you handle the large cast of characters, both existing ones and newcommers to the canon. As you can see from my profile picture, I have a particular liking for the magnificent shapeshifter Mimic the Octopus (debuting in the Tangle & Whisper mini-series). I would most definitely appreciate getting to know him better. I wonder: what is the extent of his abilities? What are the biological size limitations of his shapeshifting? Does he morph his body construction like a real octopus (expanding/shrinking in size and shape, changing the texture of his skin to mimic materials,...)? I do know of his need to be familiar with a subject to be able to mimic them. I would also love to know of his other skills, such as those used in direct combat. What was his Wispon's role in his unit? It appears he was mostly a master of evasion and escape tactics, like a real octopus. I very much like his cunning and secretive, enigmatic persona, his charm and manipulation, his choice of weapon and his cute head nubs. Plus, octopuses are an incredible species and having one in the Sonic cast is an excellent inclusion. All in all, my favourite character in IDW. Here's to seeing more of him in the future.
