Btw - if it were battery related, you'd get the faults briefly and once the alternator took over, they would clear. That has happened on 3 out of the 3 Rovers I've owned lmao...
It's so hard to know. The operating voltage maintains 12-13V (when running), then once it goes up to approx 13V + it starts working. This morning it's at 14.7V and running fine, with no error lights. Perhaps a bad alternator/ or battery would cause the fuel error?
@@GreenOval_Adventurers Are you getting a battery light ever? It’s hard to say exactly bc the alternators don’t always work at 100% duty cycle on these cars. I found when mine was going out… and again, I’ve replaced one on each Rover I owned (all Jag 4.4), I’d get an intermittent battery light to start with.
@@willnfact Yes. Was flashing on and off for a period, then stopped. I graphed it on my IID tool, and showed working 100% once the battery voltage went up.
Bad fuel cap, blocked return fuel lines, fuel filter blocked, faulty fuel injector, or even pick up pump going bad all these would cause high fuel pressure on the 3.6tdv8
Alternators on these are rated to 15 odd volts or something mad like that, common to see over 14v when batteryis low. I'd be taking battery out and pulse charge it or swap out for a new (charged) battery
Thanks for the comment Tom. It has started working properly again. I'm going to bet it was the battery as suggested, and will get a new one fitted ASAP!
If you are getting 14 volts consistently, your alternator is fine. I own a petrol 4.4 not a diesel but I know for a fact it's throwing all the faults because one relatively small thing has failed. I'm betting it's related to that fuel pressure code. Once one system faults, the rest fault as a part of a failsafe / limp mode. Basically, our Rovers assume the worst and react accordingly when something fails.
Share your thoughts - alternator, fuel filter, or perhaps something else? 👇

@@GreenOval_Adventurers Okay, I’m betting alternator too EXCEPT if idle was too low (due to a fueling issue) to produce correct voltage.
@@willnfact I was about to say as well cause last time I saw this happen was on the 5.0L Supercharged V8 facelift L322 and it was the alternator

It turned out to be the electrical terminal on the battery. So perhaps a bad earth.

@@GreenOval_Adventurers ahh nice 1 glad you got it sorted 👍
Try pouring some diesel injector cleaner on a full tank and run it for a while.
Hi Muzi! It seems to have been the battery that was the problem all along!

It's looking like it was the battery William. She is working fine now. I'm going to fit a new battery as I don't know how old this one is!
@@GreenOval_Adventurers Goofy, glad it was that simple!!
If it has wheels it will give bother at some stage 😮
Unless it's a 100 series Massey 🙂
Wise words!
