Very nice! What are the odds! While I am watching this video. We (my team and I) are currently done setting up our 3 rooms 1 conference event for tomorrow! The rooms are separated just like yours. That is insane! Keep up the great work! Our team is “ escouade multimédia “ if ever you want to look us up! Thanks for the videos you make! And inspiring us! And showing the world the work we all do in this big passion of ours! 🤘
Hi Brandon, awesome setup .. we got a short glimpse last Sunday on Aaron's stream .. The Monitor for Hyperdeck and Webpresenter is exactly what I did. Build in a 4HE - Both Units in the lower Bay and the SmartView on top .. on the Back the PGM Input and 4 HDMI 2 SDI for insert max 4 Notebook and connect to my ME2 via a 10ft SDI Multicore (Sommer Connect 5) .. very handy
Great video. We often do large rooms that split into breakouts. Some great ideas here, however, this feels a bit like a Blackmagic ad. I think some Panasonic PTZ's would really compliment what you have going on. Thanks again for sharing!
How you can get work all the Blackmagic SDI connectors / switchers from that table in time 28:29 :D we use only atem tv studio hd8 and motorola VHF radiophones in 1m atem products and every time some1 push the talk button ALL the atem sdi connectors go down
Seeing the camera setup, How does the Blackmagic camera do with the lighting. I am contemplating BM M43 camera because of low light, Most hotels, or venue just have enough light. I simply use Sony FF mirrorless. But I like BM remote control ability for a one-man setup.
The newer cameras, Gen2 studio and gen 2 micro studio are much better with low light. I will be picking up some micro studio gen 2s for myself whenever they come in stock.
Does somebody Know how i can Control what is displayed on different Projektors i cant Figur it out. I want to Build a Hall with some projectors and Monitors for a event.
Yes you will probably need some sort of switcher or router with a content output system. The systems you see in these videos are Black magic design atem switchers with either PowerPoint, pro presenter or mad mapper as content output devices sending signal to the switcher then to the projectors and screens.
very nice!! how do you handle the switching of different PowerPoint presentations ? Is there some kind of automation, or do you manually close the Powerpoint files on both computers and open the next ones manually ? how do you organize that ? thank you !! :)
Manually open and close PowerPoints. If I’m going 4-5 presentations back to back, I’ll open all 5 on both machines. Then full screen the current presenter’s PowerPoints. When finished, switch projectors to holding slides. Swap to new presentation, full screen it, then send it to the projectors. If prepped takes about 6 second per machine.
Why do you need two devices for Powerpoint when it has presenter mode and can show two separate views on just one device? Sound's a bit overcomplicated.
I use it exactly in that way. But I have 2 devices because I need to prepare the next presentation while the current speaker is using the original one. This way I click one button, less than a second and I have transitioned to the next presenter with no down time. The old way was we need a presenter view on the confidence monitor and a full screen clean slide view on the projector. From desktop computers this was easy, from laptops it was possible but not always the smoothest setup and use. Also for bigger important gigs, you really want a primary and backup machine for a host of reasons.
Love these BTS videos, super valuable. Thank you! I have a question about ownership of the CDN with these corporate events, ie: whether it’s Cvents or Zoom, teams, whatever, are they YOUR accounts that you pay for so you have full control, or is it the client’s account and they just give you access..? Thanks in advance 🤙
Ussually client’s accounts that they give us access too. If it’s strictly for backend use like bringing a virtual talent member into the conference via zoom, we tend to do that on our own accounts that we pay for so we have complete control over just that aspect of it but the platform was Cvent on the client’s account that they pay for which we got a login from them to use.
@@liveproductionmastery That makes sense. Thanks for the reply! And this might be for another video, but I'm also wondering what you, or anyone reading this, finds are the best ways of getting these corporate gigs? ie: Paid ads, cold outreach direct to client, through the AV companies, through the hotel events managers... etc? Or all of the above?
If you had the choice, what PTZ cameras would you use for this as well as controller? I’m just curious what model and brand if you could choose would be the best for your kit? Otherwise, what robotic head would you like to use and control the cameras (if not PTz) to get movement on one of the black magic cameras. absolutely love your channel with these breakdowns! You should include an affiliate gear list in future ones. I would totally use your links to buy stuff. ❤🎉😊 thank you again.
For the wide shot, we were using either the Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm f/2.8 II ASPH. POWER O.I.S. Lens or the Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 35-100mm f/2.8 II POWER O.I.S. Lens with UV Filter Kit. Another good cheaper option is the Panasonic Lumix G X Vario PZ 45-175mm f/4-5.6 ASPH. POWER O.I.S. Lens because you can control the powered zoom from the atem software. Better for static locked off shots and not as much moving shots.
Funny enough this is really close how I would do it: - 2 PTZ Camera’s - ATEM 2 M/E - if I need to do audio: x32 rack - Central Control - 2 hyperdecks - 2 laptops ; - one for powerpoint (mac) - one vMix for overlays and video - webpresenter for stream - ultrastudio for key and fill
Question: I see you are using the PerfectCue Micro. I would LOVE to use it too, however, it looks like it out of stock for months. Do you know an alternative?
We call it "Room-bingo" if the organisers have a brainfart and do the wall thingy. A stupid way to save cost. (only acceptable if there is really no more room and there are 3 seperate rooms needed)
Sorry. But those comments and numbers simply don’t add up. Why would you load up your DCC system with lights and other accessories instead of using something like an old PC power supply where you can run 30 odd amps for LEDs from the 3.3v rail alone. Also with all NCE products you can add boosters for more track power and they don’t have to be NCE brand. Two layouts in my group use Lenz boosters connected to the ProCab systems. And you can simply add the wireless station to the NCE system to then add more throttles. Let alone then a simple interface to a PC for wifi throttles and JMRI. I just cannot see why you would go down the path of this product??
Always staggered when I work in the States as to how backward-looking their sets are. Ghastly drape kits for days!! Like something out of the 1950s. And those awful-looking light totems. The tech set up looks great though.
Oh you did make the video about it after all! Congrats! Great seeing you there!
worlds collide
Ha! I was already thinking you would be there looking at the topic ;)
@@pjmverbruggen I had a talk there! Unfortunately it was in the 4th room which didn't have a camera crew 🥲
Y’all look good 😊 glad to see the boys out here vlogging on shows

i’m so happy this channel exists - please keep going!!!
Awesome as usual. Very nice on the three rooms sending and receiving video from / to each other.
Awesome setup. I love to see the scale at which you guys operate. I don't need to emulate but I always get ideas.

Thank you! Aaron Parecki mentioned this in one of his live streams and I was hoping you'd do a video.
These videos are amazing keep up the good work all the detail is top notch!

wondering if you have a video on managing cable disaster while having some flexibility to change out cables etc for each event.
what power zoom lense was that on the blackmagic pocket 6k?
19:29 what Timer app are you using on your iPad and what wireless USB-C to HDMI dongle/unit are you using to your remote USB monitor?

You are likely causing RF overload with those high powered HTs. Make sure the power setting is as low as possible: 1 watt or less.
What TV stands are those you're using for your confidence monitors up front. They looked nice and low profile. EDIT: The ones about 5:37 in the video.
Wow! Building a rack for each work you have doesn't seem efficient at all. But it works flawless!! Nice job.
What is the model of the mini camera on a pole that Sam uses just to see the stage better from the op spot?
Very nice setups. Do you have any video samples of 45-175mm in this kind of use cases?
Great video
What do you use for remote control of the slides?
Ooooh, what's the iPad timer app?
Is a keyboard and mouse needed for each Mac Mini in the 3rd set-up or use Universal Control? Or something like Magic Switch?
hello, can you give me a simple starter list of equipment's for my simple tv station

Dude I love. I love you so much 😂
Nice setup! What are those decorative totems with the different patterns and interior lighting up front? Are they truss based with socks? Cheers!
They look like ModScenes.
Great setup, What lens are you using for the BM studio G2 camera?
For the wide shot, we were using either the Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm f/2.8 II ASPH. POWER O.I.S. Lens or the Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 35-100mm f/2.8 II POWER O.I.S. Lens with UV Filter Kit.

Hello Brandon, Can you help me set up a small LIVE studio...Please
Question: I see you are using the PerfectCue Micro. I would LOVE to use it too, however, it looks like it out of stock for months. Do you know an alternative?
I bought both of mine on Facebook marketplace. I got a guy, lol. My suggestion is check if you can find them used.
The Interspace Industries Microcue 3 would be another alternative if you can’t find a secondhand PerfectCue Micro 👍🏻
Love it
