The wire management on your case its brining tears to my eyes.. I paused the video at 7:30 just to admire the work of art Summit did on your case.. Jesus Christ all mighty!!! That is gorgeous!!!!!!
Great job! We have the same situation where we need to install every Sunday, and our video rack was also a mess. We did something similar but maybe cheaper, with 2 precut patch panels for xlr connectors on the back and ordered labels to make it easy for volunteers to connect the cables.
With the correct tools to make custom length cables. Cable management becomes infinitely better! Their management style is of the like that make large professional server farms.
Even if you did not use a backplate as in this case, there is never a reason to make a rat nest out of wiring up any equipment. Run like wiring with like wiring and label both ends and create a diagram on paper. This is a practice you can find in many pro areas telephone companies, cell phone, radio/TV transmitter rooms, and networking companies. Hats off to Summit Integrated Systems their custom work is awesome.
That cable management is just beautiful. It just reminds me how much I cringe every Sunday when I see our setup. I mean it gets the job done.. but our Blackmagic Studio ATEM is literally sitting on a wooden stool because we don't even have a proper table or desk space for it.
We had Summit Integrated Systems come to our little church here in Sheridan Wyoming and install our lighting system. They did an outstanding job. Jake, I love that you showcased their talents on your channel. Beautiful little rack they put together for you!
Seeing this is so amazing I’m out here working with monitors built God knows what era, and a black magic atem mini with 1 hdmi port broken. A webcam that has this wireless signal that only works within 20 feet. The struggle is real so if summit down to make a segment called helping broke leaders upgrade their stuff would be fire 🔥 lol but happy to know other people are blessed to have such beautiful things!
Haha sounds like a fun segment to us! In the meantime, we're working on an upgraded version of our GO Pack (summitgopack.com) that is a lot more similar to the Churchfront streaming pack for around $4,500 for a non-encoder version and around $6,000 for an encoder version. Feel free to follow us on Instagram (@summit_is) because we're going to be releasing a much more compact GO Pack that we're aiming to sell for under $1,500. So a lot of options coming down the road!
@@Summitintegrated well this has been the coolest news I’ve received in a while 😂 definitely getting a follow on IG! Now I gotta pray a lot make my church leaders invest in summit gear 🔥🔥

love this video, the only thing im missing watching the video is, why not to adapt the rack custom plate to open like a door? its a more easy to everyday use, thanks for this amazing video
The idea of the rack plate and overall design was to eliminate the need to open the rack up at all. There's really nothing you need to be able to access inside the rack that you're not able to access using the outward-facing gear and rack plate. Hope this helps!
My only concern with how they have the Furman mounted is that the power cables are running parallel to video/audio cabling. Especially if you ever utilize phantom power or other low voltage audio solutions, that can very easily introduce interference into the signal. It’s always best to keep them separate and if you ever have to cross, make sure it’s at a perpendicular angle. Just my thoughts. The wiring is superb, and I’m not sure it would be possible to do it any other way in that form factor. I’m sure all of these guys are CTS D/I certified so they know what they were doing.
That black magic doesn't do any fade scenes does it, i was leaning toward that feature what other brands do ya think, roland? also i dont know anything about the resi live stream the churches here may not have much budget to start ...can i use a cheap hdmi capture stick. I'd love to chat, Thanks. all this is new to me , i used to do a lot of live and lighting but no camera. I need to get into it, they have a x32 so that's no problem for audio feed. We will soon all be back to what we love!
What does AVL stand for? I work as an engineer on (mobile units) TV trucks in the US and while systems integration, cable management and all of the systems you’re using are very familiar, that term just escapes me. Maybe it’s specific to the church AV world?
