Hey everyone! Thank you for watching my Reaction to Zootopia! See you on Friday for Finding Dory!!
It’s called a hustle sweetheart
Plot twist: they didn't find dory
You should probably Disney funny movie yet
And don’t call me cute that’s rule 1
Nioce
"Life isn't some CARTOON MUSICAL, where you sing a little song, and your insipid dreams MAGICALLY come true! So let. It. Go." I love that little easter egg.
My favourite joke in the movie 😂
@@rebexca3 my favorite is the Weasel ton joke 💀💀
When you here that it's like "that sounds familiar."
It didnt even make much sense for him to be that angry, what did he expect the giant animals to do when the weasel got into the very very small town
Elsa: LET IT GO!!!
LET IT GO!!
CAN’T HOLD IT BACK ANYMORE!!!!
Bogo: SHUT UP ELSA!
Notice how when she finds Nick again, he's the one living under a bridge, like he said she would be at the beginning.
I can't believe I never noticed that.
Your right...
ooh
He’s basically projecting what happened to him to her
Lol
I genuinely think the sloth wasn't speeding on purpose, it just took him too long to take his foot of the gas
naw he stopped quite fine when a cop was behind him XD
@@themantsang you have a point

I love that when she goes back home and meets her childhood bully just by the way he was talking
you can tell he’s been through therapy of some kind cause not many people would naturally
use “aggression issues” and the like in normal speech, which shows a decent bit of character growth from childhood bully
I also like how because of Judy they gave him a chance
I felt i bit cringe, cuz i'm a stutter too 😂
One thing I found funny is that when judy looks at the form Nick filled out theres a question that says 'have you ever been arrested?' Nick ticked yes then scribbled it out and ticked no
Lol
probably been arrested a couple of times even if just for being a fox but nothing ever stuck, at least that's the way most fanfics handle it
@@thorbcrafter997 yeah, I got that I just found it funny 😂
OMG TRUE
Technically true
the part where nick says “if the world’s only gonna see a fox as shifty and untrustworthy, there’s no point in trying to be anything else” is really poignant because stereotypes are self-fulfilling prophecies
Indeed
Definitely
that part made me cry😭
Yep. Its really sad because once those stereotypes start really getting to people and since they are so ridiculously prevalent in the world before you know it your believing them yourself. And you believe that everything the world thinks you are is all you'll ever be. So there's no point in trying to be something else. Its insane how something as simple as stereotypes (tho really stupid and superficial) can bring about such a deep loss of self-worth like that...I like how you can usually find such realistic themes in movies like this once you really think about it. Gives you a bit of a different perspective on it yk
I feel like all children should be shown this movie as a warning of prejudice and just how insanely damaging it is to society so that they don’t make our mistakes and can hopefully build a better world.
Exactly
Films arent made for real life politics.
@@nathanielpettersen2560 well I think that it’s a choice to put real world politics into a movie, some do some don’t.
@@nathanielpettersen2560 they are a lot of the time. Cause art in all forms borrows from real life, so that can include politics.

The message correlates to every day
Fun fact, Fox's claws are dull, they're made for digging. If Gideon wanted to really hurt her, he'd have used his jaws, a fox's jaws are powerful.
Oh wow I actually didn’t know that 😮
@@Fanproductions I thought it was interesting.^^
Ah, so that's why Nick "bit" Judy towards the end
@@twist_ending7545 To make it look convening, yes.
-originally, this was to go much darker where a young predator at certain age is gifted with a collar that shocks you if you show a strong emotion
And Nick is the main character who pretends to be a doctor to take off collars and allow predators to go to a secret underground amusement park
predators couldn't even be happy without getting shocked that's the worst part
Yeah, it was called Wilde Times and the Tame Collar. Glad they gave this movie a more positive spin, at least for the first one. I'd be happy if Nick's the main character in a Zootopia 2
Fun fact: the animal that was chosen for Mr. Big is the arctic shrew, and it was a very specific choice. Arctic shrews have to eat three to four times their body weight every day, and they'll eat other shrews to do it.
They are also said to be one of the most dangerous animals in the world
Perfect choice for an Italian mafia

This movie surprised me the first time I saw it, one of the best Disney films I ever seen
Me too.
Best non-musical Disney movie ever, as far as I'm concerned 😁
When I went to see this film during opening weekend, I didn’t know what to expect, since I had little knowledge of the plot (other that a bunny being on the force). But, man I was blown away by so much, from the exquisite humor to the serious tone that is very real to what goes on in our world these days.
Zootopia really surprised me and has earned my upmost respect. Therefore, being one of Disney’s best films I’ve seen!
It is the best Disney non-musical movie ever, as far as I'm concerned 😁
I think it's funny how Nick holds up both hands to indicate ten, but he's only got eight fingers. I also love how on the application, you can see that Nick checked off yes for criminal history, but then scribbled it out and put no
I love that Zootopia tackles a pretty hard topic by internalizing the themes of racism into the main character, instead of just externalizing it into the villain. Turning it into a personal flaw and chance for growth instead of just fighting some "bad guy" leaves so much room for depth. Also the scene with Nick getting bullied is absolutely heart breaking because the first thing he says isn't "What are *you* doing?" it's "What did *I* do wrong?" He immediately internalized that experience.
Agreed
Besides the fact that everyone is anthropomorphic animals this is definitely the most down to earth Disney story out there :)
And it seems that 4-5 years later, it feels more relevant than ever,
Fun fact: the directors of Zootopia said once that their favorite disney movie was Robin Hood and it was the inspiration for the character designs of the animals for the film.
I remember that too
I just notice this, but in the scene when the media is asking Judy questions about the case, midway she tells the press that "the preditors DNA might be why they're going wild." In the background the type of pictures shown to change, from showing them as victims to the problem.
can we just appreciate that snow leopard kid at the beginning of the movie who is WAY too invested in their job as sound effect guy? xD
That kid totally went on to do sound effects for films I bet
Fun fact: The voice of Judy’s mom is Bonnie Hunt who also voiced Sally in the Cara trilogy.
Cars trilogy. Lol
I make that mistake too 😆 the 'a' and 's' are too close on my keyboard! Lol
Thanks I did not known that
You would be correct
Wasn't she in a Bug's Life also?
Playing fast and loose with the word "fun" I see...
When she finds Nick under a bridge you can see a building in the background. This building is an easter egg to original plan for a movie when Nick had an illegal amusement park called " Wild Times".
Indeed
I love this movie so much! I literally saw it 6 times in theaters. Fun fact Zootopia won the Best Animated film award of the 2016 Oscars. It still blows my mind that this Disney movie without a ton of songs became my favorite Disney movie.
And I'm looking forward to that Disney+ spinoff show, and maybe even a sequel one day.

I literally had the same feeling, this movie is amazing.
This is more than just a movie. It has such a deep message. Right from childhood, the way we see others is controlled by so many factors, sometimes including our own parents or our past experiences, so much that it really clouds our judgement that affects the choices we make subsequently.

Best non-musical Disney movie ever, as far as I'm concerned 😁
This movie is seriously underrated, it deserves a lot more attention that it got and gets. Superb!
Yeah, you can kinda tell this was supposed to be the b-movie the studio was doing on the side while they made Moana. They really weren't expecting it to do as well as it did, as evidenced by the amount of marketing that came around when it was released compared to Moana later that year. They'd put most their eggs in that movie's basket and moved on when it was all over, leaving Zootopia in the dust.
On the bright side, they are making an anthology mini-series set in the Zootopia universe that's supposed to come out on Disney+ next spring.
@@pyronuke4768 Sweet, I've been hoping they'd do more with the world!

That is the kind of movie that even adults love. My parents just asore this Zootopia. It's practically their favourite. My mom fell in love with the Sloth scene and my dad died of laughter when the Godfather reference showed up. Now everytime we plan the movie night, Zootopia is the first option my parents make.

20:04 was one of the biggest "OMG" moments of disney
Absolutely.
i love watching people react to my favorite movies for the first time, glad you enjoyed it
Ah, I hoped to see Judy's grown up meeting with Gideon Gray -- a villain that didn't get his come-uppance/die/reform because the hero saved him/he got a taste of his own prejudice etc., etc.? He just OUTGREW his nasty behavior? (With apparently some help from some anger management therapist.) Unique in Disney (and almost any studio) history.
Definitely one of my favourites. Beautifully animated and voiced. Brilliant characters. Heck of a storyline that resonates and a really good mystery as well. Would recommend this one to anyone regardless of age. Really glad you liked it.
Best non-musical Disney movie ever, as far as I'm concerned 😁
13:41 that scene scared the absolute ever-living s**t out of my skin when I saw it in the cinema, and its part of why I love this movie so much, it's just so suspenseful

“Niiiiiiiii~iick”
Famoust words before speed ticket....
Fun fact: if you look at Bellwethers desk in her ‘office’ there is a post-it with Dougs name and number written down. It only appears for a second and it’s off centre so it’s easy to miss, but that’s the first hint when Doug appears that something is amiss with her. Excellent reaction!
As much I feel like this film is a pretty run of the mill buddy cop movie, I really hate that we are at a point in our society that a film like this NEEDs to exist because apparently subtlety is too subtle for some people.
18:46 Even I get those references to Disney movies like:
Pig Hero 6 (Big Hero 6)
Wrangled (Tangled)
Wreck-It Rhino (Wreck-It Ralph)
Meowana (Moana) (You haven't watched that one yet)
& Floatzen 2 (Frozen 2).
This and Raya and the Last Dragon are my two favorite Disney movies.
Me too.
I've actually never seen Ryan and The Last Dragon. I heard it didn't do very good compared to the Tom and Jerry movie though.
@@Dashiell777 It's amazing. And the reason it didn't make as much money is because HBO Max charges you like 20 dollars a month.
@@Dashiell777 eh, Tom and Jerry was more like a movie made by committee with T&J thrown in, rather than a movie about the cartoon characters. They were in it, but their story felt more like a sub-plot if you get what I'm saying
I think Disney did the same thing with some other movies. Though they we're trying to make money off of movies by charging people 20 bucks before it gets dropped onto Disney Plus.
I don't know what makes me laugh at the movie or the laugh of this friend
I’ll never forget the day when I went to the theatre and saw a Disney movie about discrimination in the United States-

Who doesn't love that part? 😂🤣
A scene that is rarely mentioned is when Judy gives up her badge. Sure, she is taking it too far. She could have worked within the system to undo her mistake. But the point is, she takes responsibility for her actions. And for the first time Chief Bogo understands that she is the real deal. This bunny would have never cheated or accepted any help to go through the Academy. This bunny would probably have quit if she found out she had an unfair advantage. Even if she had never asked for it. No, she was the best of her class fair and square.
And while Mayor Lionheart forced her on Bogo, she deserved a chance at Precinct 1.
When Mr. Big said to "ice them", what was going to happen is he puts them in there until they've had enough and are ready to talk.
I love Zootopia for its story, characters, and the message. The only thing I don’t like about it is the twist villain if they were more hints I would like it more.
@RedWarrior Studios: There’s a huge hint when Judy and Nick look at the traffic cameras, there’s a yellow post it note in the background with a phone number, the same phone number that’s near the sheep doing the tests.
@@Joy6168 I mean scenes like her saying “I hate this job” or giving Mayor Lionheart an angry look behind his back. But I think she’s just not that interesting or memorable compared to other Disney villains.

"All that we know right now is that all the missing animals that have gone savage are predators. We don't know why, and neither did the Mayor. While I understand why he didn't want to cause a panic, burying this pandemic from the public eye by kidnapping the victims and locking them away was wrong. Until we know more information about what is causing this shift in predator behavior, I would implore all of you to be very cautious of your daily activities. We are grappling with the unknown, and until we know more, no one is safe." What Judy SHOULD have said in the interview. xD

Zootopia was directed by Byron Howard, the same man who directed Tangled.
I really like how Zootopia is a deconstruction of the whole "You can do anything if you put your mind to it!" trope. Despite being a rabbit, Judy becomes a cop and she thinks that it's going to be the ideal life for her, but then quickly finds out that living the dream life in the world of Zootopia is a wall that hard work alone can't scale. Eventually, you have to face that if you don't have the right biology, then hard work will only take you so far. Nick was ostracized at a young age because he couldn't be trusted for being a fox. Despite Judy being prey, and Nick being a predator - what they both go through makes them two sides of the same coin. Both tried to fit in a role that neither were suited for because of their bology. This is a really great film, IMO one of the greatest animated films of the 2010's.
