Did it really matter that MUCH?? The first movie, we accepted the UM as the obvious "Here we go again..." fadeout joke, and he only attained Legendary Status among fanboys who couldn't think of any other plot idea to get a sequel going after 14 years.

I am most impressed by the Raccoon. He must be the Raccoon version of Batman, holding his own against all that.
Rocket Raccoon had a relationship on earth with a beautiful female raccoon and they had a smart boy. That’s my theory at least

On CinemaWins, he made a statement I think is very valid. Bob is not upset that his wife is out there saving the day, he's upset that he's not out there with her. He's glad Elastagirl is having a good time, he just wants to be doing superhero work as well and is frustrated that he can't.

In the first movie he was the one wanted so badly to be out there. It's not that he doesn't think she deserves it. It's just killing him that proper supering is going on, rather than his old habit of listening in on police radio, and that he can't be a part of it

Exactly. I think it's great character continuity. It's only been like two days since the first film, there's no way he would have given up on his desires to be a superhero again. He wants to be out there with her, and maybe bring the kids and Frozone, too.

When I saw this in theaters they had a little pre-movie roll from the voice actors talking about the gap, they ended it saying something like "trust us it's worth the wait" and a little girl somewhere in the theater stage whispered "it better be". She had the whole theater laughing before the movie even started.
the womans' name is "Evelyn Deavor"- literally "EVIL ENDEAVOR." not exactly subtle...

Not really. It’s a big moment, but I’d say the biggest “oh shit” moment is when Lotso didn’t push the button in Toy Story 3, since we all thought that he would be redeemed, and we all saw the Screenslaver twist coming.

Jack Jack is the Jack of all trades since he's a baby, they don't know what powers he'll end up keeping
He'll probably keep all of them. His power is polymorphing. I dunno where people keep getting the idea that his powers will just vanish, there's nothing in the film that even suggests that. Edna says it's normal for people to have several powers, not that everyone initially has a ton of powers and are later reduced to a specific one. XD
@@JiReyAnimation well from what I've seen in superhero families. The kids start off with having a few powers at once and as they grow some powers eventually disappear until one or two or even more powers stay with the kid as it normally said that the powers are chosen to suit the personality of the person. This was also shown in The Thundermans with Chloe.
And if he keeps all of them, and they decide to make a 3rd incredibles, Jack Jack would make a damn good villain if he gets entitled for his absurd amount of powers. Not many could stop him.

Jack Jack may be my favorite character in this film! He had the best scenes in my opinion, from the raccoon fight to him being taken Edna.

Did you know Dash’s voice actor is different in this movie. The other one got older.
Wow. They did a great job of voice matching because I've never noticed the difference and I have watched both movies many times and sometimes back to back.
I think that’s pretty obvious, since it took 14 years for this sequel to come out. So of course they would need to find a new actor to play Dash, since his predecessor was to old, and his voice got deeper. But I’ll admit that it does sound very similar, to the point you kind of forget it’s someone different. They did a very good job on that.

Violet: can turn invisible (like ultraviolet light) and make violet force fields
Dash: can run at superhuman speeds
Jack-Jack: a "jack" of all trades
So just putting it out there. Evelyn Deavor, Evil Endeavour. It was in her name the entire time. Love these details Pixar puts into their movies
If you think about the train incident in this and the last film, it must feel like a stab in the gut to Bob that his actions to stop a train crash led to gradual illegality of Supers, while Helen's mission helper relaunch them, and each incident the opposite as Bob couldn't prevent casualties and Helen did so after so long of him living with that mistake.
It's a shame this didn't win best animated feature in the oscars
It’s not really a surprise. Into the spider-verse had such a good animation style and even if this film was good, it just didn’t live up to the original

I was 10 when I watched the first one and twenty-effing-three when I went to cinema to watch this one 😂
The second one got more scary and a bit more adulty I felt like. My sister and me were sqeezing eachothers hands at one point during this movie because it was so intense for us 😂
I felt it was passable at best.
Sure, the animation was good, action and voice acting was as well,
Though I felt Screenslaver was such a downgrade from Syndrome.

I feel like you've watched every Pixar movie except their actual best one which is WALL-E.
I think the most interesting hint that Evelyn is the villain is her name is Evelyn Deavor which is play on the name Evil Endeavor.
But mostly the backstory was always strange to me was that the phone that dad used wasn't in the safe room. Like if he calls supers because there is a burglar would he have ran to wait for them? Just thoughts in my head. But other than that still a fun movie with great animation!
The kids powers are represented by their names, like violet deals with ultraviolet rays, dash is fast, and jack jack is a jack of all trades! I love all of your videos, it blows my mind that you didn’t watch these movies growing up!

I remember hearing a theory a while back that the house used to belong to Syndrome. I mean, eccentric billionaire, multiple hidden exits. It kinda tracks, doesn’t it?
The flare gun sounds is the same of blasters in The Bad Batch
Actually their superpowers have to do with the perspective on the roles they have. The dad's are perceives to be strong, so Bob has super strength. Mum's are viewed to be stretched and pulled here and there so Helen is elastic. Teenage girls tend to feel invisible, so Violet turns invisible. Boys seem to have limitless energy, so Dash is super fast. And babies have potential, so Jackjack can do quite a bit.
Also, the kids' powers are a play on their names. Violet has force fields. A play on ultra violet. Dash runs fast. And Jackjack is the jack of all trades.
I think this one is better than the first

I loved this movie. Saw it in theaters when it came out. I actually guessed the villain from the beginning. Though I've always been good at that. But I mean her name was a big give away. XD

@xGungiManx Probably. But still, wouldn't have hurt to have backups in the safe room in case of an extreme emergency. It not as if he couldn't afford it.

I know this an unpopular opinion but I didn’t like this movie. The twist villain was way too abvious and the her motives were very weak. Now is the whole movie bad? No it just wasn’t for me and the first one came out like 14 years before the second one came out.
I agree I like the first one more plus I felt dizzy after watching incredibles 2 since I have seizures sometimes and didn’t catch the warning until it was to late but even if it didn’t have that issue it’s not my favorite sequel I seen

Also, Violet has invisibility powers, kinda like how ultraviolet is invisible to the naked eye.

being the villain is hinted at in 2 ways. The first is that the black and white checker patterns she wears are similar to the images she uses as the Screenslaver to hypnotize and brainwash her victims. And secondly, her name Evelyn Deavor sounds very similar to "evil endeavor"
Fun fact: Evelyn is played by the hypnotist from Get Out.

I'm so happy that you loved it!! A lot of people thought it was lacking, for some reason, which I didn't get at ALL. I thought it WAS the perfect sequel!
It’s passable, but I felt it was just a role swapping version of the first.
And I thought Screenslaver was such a downgrade from Syndrome. SS was nowhere near as callous or cold.
@@RYMAN1321 I thought that was rather the point. There are different kinds of villainy, and some of them are not completely cold and psychopathic and unfeeling. Some antagonists become what they are *through* what they *feel* about something or someone, and I appreciate that kind of character arc as much as the first.
If you don't like the heroes-fighting-villain-who-wants-world-domination plot formula... I would honestly assume you're not much of a superhero story fan at *all.* LOL
Because that is the basis of every story... almost ever. It is the quintessential good-vs-evil story, and to some, it's timeless because it is a perfect reflection of reality--while to others, it's just cliche. **shrugs**
It's no Incredibles 1, but it's pretty good. 7/10

People despise Shrek the Third, some saying he shouldn't watch it cause it's bad. He could've went down that line, but he didn't...
He ended up really enjoying the movie, which he wouldn't have known if he listened to all the people saying that he wouldn't like it.
Fair enough, this doesn't mean it'll happen for Minions. However, he's a big fan of the little dungaree-wearing tic tacs, so there's a chance he'll enjoy it.
Some people wonder if Evelyn is an alcoholic - the bags under her eyes, the fact she nearly always has a drink in her hands, her slight souring in one scene and SPOILER:
