Count Dooku was chosen as Palpatine's apprentice for many reasons, but chief amongst them was Dooku's connection Grand Master Yoda.

One of major flaws of the Jedi of Ruusan Reformation era is that they pretended that all Jedi stop being mortal flawed creatures when they joined the Order. They spent all their time denying human/sapient nature, rather than teach how to deal and over come their worst aspects. Image how different the Order would have been if the Jedi taught its members how to love and care for someone. While also teaching that feelings like attachment are normal and healthy. But can lead to selfishness if one is not taught how to love and care for another. That one falls to dark side when they give up on trying to not let positive feelings turn dark and selfish.
When yoda and Anakin talk, yoda thinks anakin is talking about his Jedi peers, NOT his secret pregnant wife
Yes, and specifically Obi-Wan, most likely
now that we have ahsoka, we can even put into cannon he is talking about ahsoka
"Ripping Dark Side Ass" is now a phrase I will be adding to my collection. XD
This phrase will make a fine addition to my collection.
Dooku being manipulated by Sidious into turning to the Dark Side was a tremendous loss to the Jedi Order.
Dooku's new master was responsible for his former apprentice's death, and yet he still became Sidious's pawn.
It's tragic because he finally sees Sidious for what he really is just moments before Anakin kills him.
There is actually signs Dooku knew but also was disillusioned with the Jedi Order and the Republic. He was playing Sudius' game and looking for a chance to betray him. He just wasn't as savvy as Sidius with manipulation and got out maneuvered. Ultimately Dooku was too confident in his abilities and had no allies as all he had were removed from play.
Count Dooku's story is one of the saddest in all of Star Wars. Ironically, he is very similar to Anakin, the man he truly disliked, but unlike Anakin, Dooku never escaped the dark side to redeem himself.
It's not the irony, it was specific choice made by Lucas to make 3 main antagonists of prequels (Maul, Dooku and Grevious) represent parts of the Vader
Dooku will always be my favourite. Sir Christopher Lee is the goat
He was a real life BADASS!
@OswaldPHaygood that he was. When he did Lord of the rings he was asked to scream when being stabbed amd he said no cause he knew what it sounded like. Now thats a GOAT thing to do.
@@OswaldPHaygood James Bond was written by Lee's nephew and based on Lee's activities in the Department of Ungentlemanly Warfare.
*Fun fact:* After Dooku's death, his fortress on Vjun would become Darth Vader's main residence. In fact, Vader would keep Obi-Wan Kenobi's lightsaber there after assassinating him, this weapon being found and recovered decades later by Anakin Solo.
Fun fact: Anakin Solo only exists in legends so it doesn't count 😆😅
@@Bradley-tr1okfun fact: because legends is the superior timeline, it absolutely does count
Uhh, vader main base on mustafar brotha
@@danielperson349 yeah... imma have to take that shot right to the gut 😅 (might not have been if Disney hadn't f***ed up the sequel trilogy, but we dont exist that timeline 😆)
@@danielperson349 I agree on this with you.
Palpatine's ego destroyed the Sith Order. Instead of raising a proper apprentice who would one day overthrow him, therefore ensuring the line would outlive him, he tried to play God and created a line of clones so that he could rule forever. That led to his apprentice predictably overthrowing him, the Sith spirits not helping him when his clone bodies got poisoned, and him dying at the hands of the Skywalkers on Onderon in Dark Empire, and nobody was left to inherit the Sith mantle outside of Lumiya, someone who was barely trained to be a Sith thanks to the limitations of the Rule of Two.
Indeed. Creating a Sith organization that is both long lived and doesn't follow the Rule of Two is basically impossible, even if most Sith Masters don't want the limits placed on them by the Rule of Two.
I had not realized the EU version of events was that similar to canon.
@@masterofblabber367 Yeah, Abrams claimed not to use the EU as a source, but Episode 9 and the plot of _Dark Empire_ are strikingly similar.
I can't remember what book or comic this line was in, but I do remember Palpatine talking about how Dooku was a Proton torpedo fired straight at the heart of the Jedi order. I always thought that was a fantastic way to describe him.
Movie Dooku and Clone Wars Dooku always seemed like two different characters to me. There was a degree of honor to movie Dooku, and a sense that he might have even regretted his path, necessary as it may have felt to him. Clone Wars Dooku was a cold, pragmatic individual, thinking himself above everyone and seemingly eager to harm or betray anyone at the slightest provocation.
Well, Dark Side corrupts. This is one of themes.
They aren’t different characters. Dooku was just playing nice for most of attack of the clones to fool people. It was as much an act as Palpatines act to the republic. It was a mask. One that was taken off (for the audience) at the end of the movie.
Dooku was onboard with Palpatines plan. He wanted an authoritarian (and racist) empire as much as Palpatine did. The only part he didn’t know of was that he would be betrayed.
@@thunderbird7020 not really dooku literally does not kill yoda and obi wan and anakin despite having the perfect drop on them during the shuttle escape scene
Sir Christopher Lee's performance had nuances that the animators and voice actor could not replicate.
I heard a theory that Yoda didn't forget the truth, but accepted it. He can't stop what is to come. He can only accept it.
Becoming a force ghost is a deal with the force. Don't screw with things and you can become and stay as a force ghost, watching and being a limited guide on behalf of the force.
Lettuce all take a moment to reflect on what a BADASS Christopher Lee was. RIP to the real-life most interesting man in the world.
Lettuce? 😂 nice one
It's pretty sad that, during the duel against Yoda in Vjun, Dooku almost turned back to the Light, something that would have ruined Sidious' plans. I think Dooku deserved to redeem himself and have a happy ending like Anakin
I remember that book. Gosh it was so sad...
Ah yes. A happy ending. Like anikin. Y know after he lost the love of his life and went on a two decade rampage of rage and destruction and hate and despair
I just feel bad for dooku. He hated the jedi having to help corrupt officials and wanted to do something about it but the rules of the jedi didnt allow for that. Seeing injustice and having the ability to change the situation but being told you cant must be immensely disillusioning
Yoda took on Dooku as apprentice, breaking his own rule, and convention as Grand Master for two reasons: 1) Dooku was quite powerful even as a Youngling. He was so skilled with the lightsaber, that he actually held his own in a duel as a Youngling against Master Lene Kostana after Dooku mistakenly accused her of being a Sith Lord. Yoda believed that only he could guide to maturity such a powerful Force User. 2) Yoda saw in Dooku more than sheer ability as a warrior. Dooku was extremely intelligent and aware of the Force in ways others weren't. Dooku had an immense intellectual curiosity in general, and in the esoteric aspects of the Force and Dark Side in particular. Yoda saw in him a potential Grand Master whose capability in the Force and ability to command respect was head and shoulders above his peers. So, Yoda quietly groomed him to replace him. However, as Dooku matured he became even more independent and unorthodox. Once Dooku became a Knight, Yoda had learned to allow Dooku to forge his own path, hoping Dooku might eventually behave more conventionally. For a time it seemed that way when Dooku served on the Jedi Council. But Dooku's restless mind and endless thirst for knowledge and interest in the Dark Side, coupled with a very pronounced idea of justice, led Dooku away from the Jedi.

After a long day of doing construction there is not a thing better then sitting down with a beer and watching generation techs new videos
I’m curious on how Count Dooku’s people on Sorenno reacted to his death? Especially given to how the old man from the Bad Batch Season 2 described Dooku’s subjugation
It was odd they characterized it that way. All other canon references to Dooku's rule on Serenno, especially in Jedi Lost, and in leading the CIS, was that he was immensely popular and respected. Indeed, during the Clone Wars he was the most popular politician in the galaxy and seen as a paragon of virtue and wisdom by not only the CIS, but also by neutral worlds and more than a few Republic planets.
"He's trying hard not to rip dark-side ass!" That's the best way to let us feel his struggles!
LMFAO!
I love Generation Tech!
Their duel on Vjun was exceedingly difficult for Yoda. Not only did Dooku push him to the limit, but Yoda had to come to grips that there was no hope of bringing Dooku back to the Light.
Lee essentially plays the same character he played in LOTR. He really believed that he and Palpatine would reshaoe and rule the galaxy together. He let Palpatine cloud his perception. This was quite a testimony to Palpatine's power as Dooku was a brilliant man.
Another generation tech banger
Thanks for the quality content Alan
Palpatine did planned for Anakin to succeed him.
"Darth Vader will become stronger than either of us".
He would make such a statement if he didn't want Anakin to surpass him.
Yeah, but that was in front of Yoda, his sworn enemy who stands in stark contrast to Sidious ideology. Next the dream of Anakin's potential as successor also goes down the lava drain. Then as he had won the struggle against the Jedi and had the Empires resources at his disposal, he could go down the route of his other bigger dream of becoming an immortal god.
By Ep 9 Rise of Skywalker, his quest at immortality has basically died with Snoke and he had resigned him self to his fate of being succeeded, he did not care by whom as long as they were a dark sider and he could ride in the backseat of their mind like all the other sith of the rule of two did in his.
Then as he discovers the dyad in the force and is able to absorb it to restore himself, it's right back to being an immortal god that is his quest and he's instantly lost all interest in even having a successor. Next thing he knows he get's destroyed by Rey who had absorbed all the Jedi and Windus the force lightning right back at Sidious face.
So his main goal seems to be immortality and being succeeded is just a secondary goal.
I love the episode where Dooku and Palps get together one morning and decide to play spooky prank calls on Yoda while he’s on Korriban
I just wanted to thank you for making these videos 👍🏻

The jump scare ad at the end got me
I didn't know that, "trying not to rip darkside ass" was an analogy that I needed but here we are.😂🤣
Great video! Always a big Yoda fan.
Thoughtful, your analysis is.
Your analysis of the lore is so far above anything else I have seen about it that I'm in awe. You ground it in real world religion, politics and human culture. I haven't even watch any Disney SW and don't plan to but I love this channel
every time i see that image of young Dooku @18:35, i am reminded of the time Alan called him Darth Cage 🤣
I don't know Dooku is a constant mystery for me. He is smart, carismatic and never taken over by the darkside.
Why didn't he sence that he and his Separatist were just a means to an end?
And to his Master to succeed he had to fall?
Dooku more than everything wanted to be listened to, to be taken seriously, jedi didn't listen, but there was the lord of the sith that actually listen (of course it was only manipulation) but Dooku at this point wanted anyone to hear him, he wanted to change galaxy for the better and Sidious not only listem but in manipulation promised him that, Sidious actually made Dooku feel worthy... Jedi didn't acknowledge anything he did, didn't made him feel wanted
Dooku is an idealist who had soft and just, always curious heart, unfortunetely corrupted by the dark side
@@undyne4032 Well that I knew, but I don't know how he could not see that he was just a pawn and for his Masters plan he had to be dead. Even Maul knew it. Nothing against Maul, but Dooku is way more intelligent and mindfull of all other players in the galaxy.
He knew the separatists were a means to an end. He was on board with palpatines plan to create the empire. He was a xenophobic wannabe tyrant.
The only thing he didn’t know he’d be discarded. Read the ROtS novelization to see his ultimate motivation spelled out
@@thunderbird7020 I knew that. What I didn't is as the public figur of the separatist he had to fall, to Sidious succeed. Why didn't he couldn't to see that?
I dont understand how so many people can understand it in starwars but often don't see it in real life

Sidious was a master at being the Senate.
When yoda walks in the battle to duel he acknowledge him as his padwan.

Very Nice 🖤🖤
Palpatine did what no other Sith could. He destroyed the Jedi.
7:29 I hate how realistic this is. Like whenever the government does something bad, they hit the public with “WOW! LOOK OVER HERE! UFO’S!”
Truly glorious
The Force dos a lot of teaching itself. The role of the Master is to guide the student to keep their focus on the right place. A self indulgent Sith's abuse itself focusses the hate of their student.
Did Obi Wan deliberay avoid mentioning Quigin
My understanding is that AT FIRST, Siddious expected to train an apprentice stronger than him. When he’s dueling Yoda he even says that one day Vader would be stronger than either of them. It was only after Vader got stomped so hard by Kenobi that Siddious changed his plans.
LETS GOOOOOOO
There's a hella good fanfic, The Weaving Force (on AO3)--a crossover with that Worm webseries by Wildbow (may be known as Parahumans to some of you)--where Yoda is away when Dooku comes demanding answers for Qui-Gon's death, and this spirals out into Dooku learning the truth, staying with the Order to hunt the Sith (though he receives little to no support from them for this), and literally training Anakin!
Seriously, it was this fic that made me appreciate Dooku's character and standing and power and just how critical he is in the story. Dooku not falling to the Dark Side is just the first major ripple effect that diverges the fanfic from canon, and it does him more justice than I knew he deserved.
I know this is a little out of place but I have to take every opportunity to proselytize this fanfic for how damn well it does Dooku. He isn't even a central character per se, just a major supporting one, and it's beautiful.
P.S. Christopher Lee was literally the real-life Dooku. The dude oozed charisma and dignity.
I feel it would of been A ) - better / B ) - allot funnier : if the "sith'ari" was just a nice little safari amusement park / safari the sith made (imagine it as their version of a 'fun world'). So you could have the sith being all evil and galactic conquering - nd then show them having a nice day at the safari with all the different star wars animals
i know this is ridiculous, but some parodies just write themselves damnit! ;p

Rip darth side ass is hilarious 😂
It was a mystery peipl inuniverse had to figure out Darth Vader was Aniken Skywalker . And i still don't know Darth maul's real name. But why did Darth Tyranus still referred to as Duku
They did figure it out. They were just playing along like how the people did in the SNL skit of Undercover Boss with Kyo Ren. 😁
Maul is simply that. Palpatine just added Darth.
Dooku was a lot like a son to yoda in a way.
i have a question for you generation tech. What were Some Clones thinking when order 66 came out and what did some clones think when the inhibitor chip effect "Wore off" after some time? Cause surly Commander Cody felt betrayed at first then after he joined the empire, he had some regret about order 66 and i'm sure many clone commanders thought the same.
OK, hear me out. Yoda gives control of the war and clones to Mace. Yoda focuses his mind on the senate. Yoda also puts Anikan under Mace's direct command and open tells him to make him into a master.
That sounds like a good idea, actually.
Assuming that Mace is faithful with Anakin. Those two could easily clash.
Oh, come on, Allen, Darth Sidious/Chancellor Palpatine had a taste for spicy spicy space kimchee.
Master strategist
Really, I thought Palps purposely let it ripped just to lure the Jedis into an end game trap once all the pieces were place. 🤨
"My allegiance is to the republic, to democracy"
Well, which is it? Make up your mind.
Luke also had strong attachments but they didn't slow him down or weaken him, on the contrary, he was stronger than any jedi before him.
Rip one. Pretty good
Definitely the best Star Wars channel on here.
This entire ip is in such a sad state but you and MetaNerdz are probably the only ones on here i can stomach.
Everyone else seems to have an agenda...
Either mischaracterizing lore with really bad takes or desperately coping and make excuses for bad Disney content.
But here its just cool content and discussions about the most interesting lore components and logical discourse regarding the themes and messaging with some appreciated nuisances here and there.
Its very relaxing to get lost in good lore, thanks. 👍
Darth Tyranus was a beast!
Many fans think that after the final vision Yoda resigned himself to fact he couldn't stop Sidious or the fall of the Jedi/Republic. That no matter what he did now, nothing could stop it. Because it was far far too late to stop the storm. So he started directing all his energy to what the living Force wanted him to do then and now, not unlike how Qui Gon Jinn lived his life.
Did Dooku have the title of darth or did he drop it for count instead? I genuinely dont know
Did we first think obi wan was Yoda's direct oprentus
Tldr to move the plot forward
Sarcasm**
Its even more interesting when considering that Darth Plagueis gave serious consideration to taking Dooku as a replacement apprentice in the event something went wrong with Sidious. Its actually kind of cool that Dooku basically caught the interest of the three most powerful force users of that time (Before Anakin) those being Plagueis, Yoda and Sidious, even if for completely different reasons. Actually, I sometimes wonder how things would've gone had Plagueis chosen Dooku as his apprentice instead of Palpatine and gave Dooku a proper education in the dark side (Not the half-ass crash course Sidious gave Dooku) I don't think Dooku would've betrayed Plagueis and the pair might've ended up in the roles of co-chancellor.

💚
How interesting both the Jedi and sith chosen one destroyed their respective orders.
Is Darth Bane related to Cad Bane? Lore theory
Yoda and Palpatine had much to gain from Doku's death. Palpatine could deflect allegations of being a Sith lord while Yoda could get rid of an opponent who had knowledge of his tactics.
Order 66 was done by soldier who did not listen to their feelings and killed the Jedi, whom they fought alongside.
Fear of losing control was one of Yoda's weaknesses. He had the chance to let Anakin save Shmi. But since he feared that saving one's one mother from being ravaged by tuskans over and over, night after night was corrupting Jedi teachings of non attachement, he lost one very valuable ally in order to maintain an obedient Jedi.
He started taking too much energy, brainwashing people into believing that caring for the ones we love is dangerous.
Anakin wanted to save his mother, Shmi, while Yoda was attached to his followers, who he would place in positions of power and influence.
Ultimately, the Senate had to choose over the Sith and Jedi. Many things were beyond the control of both Yoda and Palpatine. So perhaps both of them really feared Doku and were happy Anakin assassinated him. Doku could have hurt both of them if he gained influence in the Senate.
Am I the only one who felt a deep connection to this episode and our political issues in America right now LOL.
Palpatine won because his enemies were morons.
Thousand years of peace can make anyone lax.
The Sith changed and the Jedi didn't. The latter spent a thousand years preparing for the Sith as they remembered them, and were completely caught off-guard by what they are in the present day 🤔
Ah, I see the connection between the Sith and today’s sponsor. Always two there are, buy one, get one free
CUZ HE WAS THE GOAT
Supreme Emperor Palpatine won because he was a superior being , and the lowly inferiors of the galaxy had no choice but to grovel at his feet .

The Jedi lost because they couldn’t adapt, wouldn’t open their eyes to the obvious main villain role presented to them. In the grim future there is only wa…. Oh my bad wrong universe🤣🤣🤣
ok
The other issue I had with the Rule of 2 was that it made the Sith more vulnerable to having their line broken. One bad shuttle crash or a nasty brain aneurysm before the new master took on an apprentice and Pft! no more Sith
Any two dark side users can make their claim to be THE Dark Lords of the Sith. The Rule of Two just makes it so that any competing claims must be dealt with. See the Clone Wars episodes where Maul makes his brother Savage into his apprentice, then challenges Sidious for the mantle of Dark Lord (only to fail utterly).
@@wkadams88 True. Any two dark side users could indeed make claim to be the Dark Lords of the Sith which would I suppose would explain how the Sith didn't go extinct from a sheer accident long ago.
Although even there, it staggers me to think how much knowledge would be lost if/when the line was ever broken. Part of the advantage of a master/apprentice relationship is the passing of knowledge from one generation to the next. When an individual dies without passing on their knowledge to anyone else, that's a tremendous set back. In the Legacy continuity it took Luke years to reclaim much of what was lost during the Jedi Purge and he at time wonders if he would ever recover all of it within his lifetime.
I always figured that was part of the reason why the Jedi flourished across the galaxy while the Sith almost went extinct multiple times. The Jedi shared their knowledge freely, thus their ideas and their ideals spread more easily. The loss of one Jedi was not nearly so devastating as the loss of one Sith.
Also, before anyone goes "But Sith Holocrons!" yes, that is one way the Sith teachings could be passed along despite the destruction of the two current Sith Lords. BUT, Sith holocrons are notoriously even rarer than Jedi holocrons because A) the Sith, being the self centered and selfish bastards that they were, weren't as keen on sharing their knowledge with random yahoos, and B) the Jedi had a tendency to destroy any Sith holocrons they found on sight because they tended to, ya know, contain forbidden dark side techniques.
@hfar_in_the_sky It is an inherent weakness in the Sith, yes. By hoarding their power and knowledge so jealously, they ensure that much of it will be lost. Still, even without the Rule of Two, Sith were killing each other and losing knowledge. One of the most memorable parts of KOTOR was Kreia narrating to your character on Korriban about the fates of the Sith Lords of old buried there, and all their accomplishments that no one after them ever learned again.
Still, I would imagine that many of the Sith would view the lost knowledge as a challenge every Sith must face. They didn't learn the ways of the Force like the Jedi; their style was to bend the Force until it gave them what they wanted. That "blunt Force" approach may have led to many Sith discoveries.
@@wkadams88 I could see that. Probably another element that sets the Jedi and the Sith apart. The Sith starting over time and time again would mean they would always be finding new ways to do things, but they're constantly having to spend ungodly amounts of time reinventing the proverbial wheel. The Jedi in the meantime seem to become more sedentary in their beliefs and teachings due to seeking more peaceful times, but what they do learn and change doesn't take as much time or energy because they're building off of what came before rather than having to constantly rediscover lost techniques
I thought this said "this is how palastine won" and was very confused why yoda was there
Yet Palpatine’s victory amounted to less than 20 years of Sith-led Imperial rule. Compared to the 25,000-ish rule of the Republic and the Jedi, that’s pretty pathetic.
Makes all the Sith’s work a waste of time.
The genius of Sidious was his multi-track plan to ruin the Jedi. Where other Sith favored a blunt approach, Plagueis and Sidious attacked them internally, politically and finally via proxies in combat. Turning Dooku was the Sith masterpiece. Dooku was rightly feared by both Plagueis and Sidious as the most dangerous Jedi. Not only due to his peerless swordsmanship and mastery of Force knowledge, second only to Yoda in both respects, but for his political ability centered on a reformist agenda. Dooku, had he become Grand Master, a position that was groomed for from the time he was a Padawan, would have rebuilt the Jedi to be more honorable and proactive against threats, and clarified its relationship with the Senate. The Sith would have had a much harder time under Grand Master Dooku. Plagueis had considered turning Dooku years before TPM, and indeed, thought very hard about replacing Sidious with him. When Sidious turned Dooku he turned the Jedi's greatest weapon against them. Many were pawns for Sidious; Dooku was a Queen on the chessboard able to inflict damage on so many levels. But, no matter how useful Dooku was to destroying the Jedi and democracy, again, once he served his purpose, he would be a liability. Even if Anakin had never existed, Dooku was still always going to be a dead man once Sidious had complete power. In the end, the Sith would have been better served had Plagueis killed Sidious and turned Dooku into his next apprentice. Between them they would have had a better relationship, the veil of the Force lifted by two mean obssessed with Force esoterica, and they still take over the Republic, this time with Dooku as Supreme Chancellor.
ever notice how Biden looks like Palpatine, could you imagine if Biden is actually super intelligent and we are all his pawns 😂😂
Kinda weird when trump is the actual fascist who wants to rule with unlimited power.
There's a Freedom Toons about this very scenario...
In my personal opinion palpatine won in all 9 movies 🤷🏽♂️
The rule of 2 was always a flawed setting for me = over the long term there is an exponential chance of even the simplest of accidents, wiping out the entire order = basically NO backup plan master+apprentice+pawns; I doubt that the pawns could rebuild the order from scratch IF they would have known anything about being mere pawns ... more over ... lets take a real life life example = there are rules in the USA for example, when the top 3 persons (president, vice, speaker of the house) can be at the same place at the same time, and this setting is only for 8 years (4+4) ... so the setting sounds cool BUT it is a fatal flaw if you try put this thing into some sort of "realism" ...
I still feel the prequels are terrible as far as storytelling goes. Even if the WHOLE thing is spelled out through games, books, comics, and animated shows but then do the movies in such a way that one doesn't necessarily need those other sources to make sense of it all. I just felt from beginning to end of the prequel saga its loaded with unexplained macguffins and we're just supposed to stand back and say how epic and awesome it is/was. Don't get me wrong. I generally like the prequels but I understand how ineffective and poorly done they were from the standpoint of things making sense.
I hafe seen a video - why Palpatine was a conservative sith. But may be that was not canon XD
Sith army
Sidius choose Duku for same reason Carl Swabb choose Biden
If you start the deprogramming now, you may get yourself out of the dipsh*t death cult you are in within a decade or so. May the Force be with you.
the rule of two is stupid. how much knowledge has been lost because the apprentice killed the master before learning it all? the sith have had empires that survived for thousands of years. the reason why it crumbles isnt because of too many sith. its because they are evil and evil people cant cooperate with each other.
I was very happy that the Sith won against the Jedi order under Yoda’s leadership because that was the stupidest iteration of that organisation of all time.
Old republic Jedi were much more superior & had more of my respect then anything Yoda had produced during his time as the grandmaster 🤣✅🤷🏾♂️.
The rule of 2 is the stupidest idea in star wars. No ruler will train soneone to kill them. At the very least, a great mind is killed, at worst both.
Plus you would never trust anyone enough to give them the skill to get anywhere near his.
But worse, it didnt exist. Not only was there the awareness of the apprentice having an apprentice, but they had many inquisitors and force users under them. A prooer rule of 2 is NO FORCE USERS under sith.
