I'm extremely fascinated as to what a guardian's path plando would be like, cause it's not as straightforward as "physical = do 5 bars of damage to terra with zantetsuken" or godwizard mode.
@@BlueBladeofFate I would assume it would mean Sora gets way more health and takes next to zero damage. And maybe he only get reflect as a viable offensive option

I feel like a partner plando would probably involve either a challenge seed, or a seed designed for you to take split paths (like Bloody takes the left chest, it has Guardian crest, so he goes to OC, Acuhhh gets the right most chest which has that crab keyblade, and goes to atlantica or some shit) and you might occasionally leave your path briefly if your partner finds something super nutty to grab like reflect

Edit: Alternatively, maybe make Sora's predominant stat be defense, and all party members have glass cannon stats (or very high attack/magic and moderate defense).

The guardian path should be heavily nerfed strength and magic, focusing on team limits and high defense. Team members are stronger, and drives and summons are viable, albeit with much more difficulty in refilling the drive meter (and magic, for limits). The point being to coordinate with your party members as support. Make Donald and Goofy earn their keep, haha.

Some fun name concepts for form paths, Classic path for Limit form, Masters path for Master form, Dark path for Anti form, and Final path for Final form. If I had to think of bonus fun ones it would be like, Path of the Summoner (summons only), and Heroes path for a Sora only where you can't summon or use forms.

I'd like to see some competitive rando when they take turns telling what world the other player has to do next. A couple of basic rules would be you can't make someone go the 2nd visit until they've done all first visits (to ensure they CAN do 2nd visit) and maybe also add that they can't tell each other to go to the same world on the same round I.E. if I say go Pride lands, you can't make me go pride lands that same round.
So it's a lottery--maybe you send your opponent right to the proof and then they're evil and wait as long as possible before they send you there yourself.

This is why players are stupid for not giving AP boosting items or AP Boosts in general for Donald and Goofy. With about 20-25 AP for Donald and Goofy individually, you can have your limits with them as well as SC/OM for survivability. Sure, they don’t actually do much for AI allies, but give them SOMETHING so they aren’t dying every fight.
Sorry, that’s just been a pet peeve of mine seeing multiple runs (not necessarily yours) of people ignoring Donald and Goofy just because their AI is a 4/10 on a good day.
this really just shows how busted multiplicative damage and why DP is so good in vanilla kh2 because those kinds of damage boosts apply after the cap. Multiplicative damage is like... 1.2 * 1.2 * 1.2 and so on instead of 1 + 0.2 + 0.2 + 0.2 etc... so eventually when you get 5 of them and get to 2 in additive it becomes 2.4 in multiplicative.

God, even though this is a god status rando, just seeing BB wipe through bosses on crit makes me feel scared. I'm only on my first run and I'm currently walled by Xigbar. (and yes I know, he's been with this game for almost a decade so)

This makes me imagine a plando path where your magic regen is zero and there aren't any ethers, you can't recover it without a save point, drive form, etc. So you gotta really manage your MP usage and make spells and limits count more than ever.
How would you do Port Royal 2?

I'm late to the party, but in the computer freeze fight, heartless spawn infinitely, so it's good for level grinding

Hey BB idk if you actually respond to comments but I don't think I would be to join in the tournament because I'm not good at speedrunning/ don't know how to speedrun and ideas on how I can learn to speedrun better.
I may not be BB but I used to do speedruns myself back in the day. If you want to learn speedrunning, the simple solution is to practice the common speedrunning strats.
Practice the game until you have a very good understanding of what enemies can and cannot do, and what they will do in certain situations. This comes from just playing the game.
Next, you make a save prior to every major battle you're going to need to practice. This will need a LOT of save files... Next, look up the speedrun strats for every boss, and then find a tutorial for that strat or ask in the speedrun discord for an explination on how it works. Next, you practice it until you have it down. Some are easy, some are hard. Just keep at it.
Once you understand the strat enough to do that, you want to practice improv decision making. Intentionally fail the speedrun strats, or, if you mess it up along the way, don't reset. Just continue the fight from there and try to get them back into the loop / pattern / abuse situation. Once you get good enough there to reliably avoid death when you mess up, it'll just become a matter of repetition, practice, and making good calls if a problem arises, which comes from experience only.
