The new caps are definitely an improvement! One cheap thing that I would consider is to just get some cheap $10 gloss black spray paint for the steelies behind the caps. That just makes it so the worn steelies don't shine through in the sunlight. A once over with some fine sand paper, and some masking tape on the tires, and it should be an easy job, as long as you're able to remove the wheels from the car. My winter wheels I painted myself, they're not perfect, but they look alright. I fully support the budget build! The spirit of a build is much more important than the materialistic parts of a build. For me, I'm in the fortunate situation that I got into one of, if not the best educational program in Norway. So from the age of 16-20 I work as an apprentice, gaining me a certificate of apprenticeship in automation while earning money alongside a school curriculum which teaches at a level that gets me ready for higher education. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely hard work, but the value of a constant income while doing a 4 year high school is pretty much immeasurable, especially as a car enthusiast. Another cheap thing you could consider is a rubber front lip. At first I was hesitant to put it on my car, because it's literally a universal piece of rubber that you mount to the front of your car. but it actually looks pretty good. At least on my car. I got mine on ebay for around $30 I think. Also, some rally style mudflaps can look good on cars with smaller wheels, but they could also look a bit "too much" but it could still be something to consider. Rallyarmor's universal mudflaps are around $30-40 if I remember correctly, and can also help protect the arches from salt and rust. Other than that, keep enjoying your civic!
Thanks man!!! That’s awesome that you can make money in an apprenticeship like that! I bet painting the steelies would make a huge difference maybe when the weather gets a little nicer I’ll work on that! I’ve thought about a lip as well but I didn’t know you could get rubber ones and I love the idea of mudflaps I’ll definitely have to try those out!!
Alrighty THEN!!! You Fixed the comment section! 😁 New Hubs look great! Nice series to show people how to fix up your car when on a budget, also good points on why you chose to stay on a budget due to the age of car, miles, and rust etc!
There are plenty of anti-rust black paints out there just so you know, also if you can't jack your car and take the caps off yourself it's over for you.
I should look into the anti rust paint maybe at least slow it down a bit also as I said in the video I didn’t have time to jack it up I’m extremely busy and I just didn’t have time that day because I don’t have a proper jack so I would’ve had to use the emergency one 😂

You are the happiest UA-camr I know. Another great video!
Id just paint the steelies black lose the hub caps altogether
I thought about that but I just prefer the look of the hubcaps over the steelies but it still wouldn’t be bad

You should try to wrap the hood for fun or other parts of your car! And a small spoiler or somthin would look pretty sweet
Thanks bro!! That’s a good idea I should figure out how to do a spoiler!
