    Me personally automatics feel clunky and erratic even just putting it from park to drive or drive to reverse or reverse to drive.. it just feels so clunky. I’ve only driven 10 automatic cars so maybe there’s some that are smoother but the ones I’ve driven it’s just so clunky to drive

    I got a K&N for my C30 way back when I bought it. Really only noticed a slight turbo sound increase which is fun :) Then I later installed a 3.5 inch RamAir cone-filter, And it probably lost some low down torque, but it sounds great xD And it may or may not be fastened with zip-ties...

  • @Natie-vw8vt

    Makes a slight different. You need a ecu tune and it would make about 30 to 40hp more. Now if you remove the cat but keep the muffler so it's not too loud you'll add another 30hp. Easy power

    • @JustGrant25
      @JustGrant25 15 днів тому

      I’ll keep that in mind! I’d be a little concerned with adding that much power because of the mileage and this is one of the years that had an occasional issue with the engine block cracking lol maybe at some point I’ll try that though!

    • @Natie-vw8vt
      @Natie-vw8vt 15 днів тому

      @JustGrant25 I don't think anything would go wrong as all you're doing is letting the engine breathes more. However if you do compression mods like turbo then yes problems. Go for it a Honda is a Honda and unkillable👍🏻

    • @natefrm860
      @natefrm860 14 днів тому

      Removing the cat does not add a 30 hp. It’ll be more like 5-10 but without an actual tune, the car won’t make much of anything by removing that. For example, if he was to get a full cat back system, it would flow way better than the stock, but won’t make a lot of power because you’ll need a tune too get the potential of said upgrades

    @DRONEALD 20 днів тому

    It's a great little car, fun to drive. Only - as we all know - one problem point - the differentials will blow within the 10 till 15 batteriepacks. The diffs are metal geared but in a plastic housing and the does not combine well. I dont know about your country but overhere in the Netherlands i pay aboud 50 euro's to replace the front and rear diffs to a full metal set. That meens the cars actualy became to cost around the 200 euro's instead of the cheap 150 euro's. Still a brilliant car, for shure - but arrma's now releasing the brushless version for about 230 euro's, and it has all the updates diffs, shocks and a brushless system that will hit the 80 kmh. Yeah, so i donno mate. If i hadn't already had one i would probably wait for the brushless version.

    • @JustGrant25
      @JustGrant25 20 днів тому

      I agree with that if I didn’t have this already I’d just go for the brushless I filmed this before the brushless was announced tho lol 😂 surprisingly my diffs have been fine but I’m sure I’ll have to replace them at some point

  • @VinnesAuto
    @VinnesAuto 23 дні тому

    Many excellent points. I also noticed that the pacing of the video with the editing was done very well! Having recently had my RWD awakening, I do get what people are talking about, but I still really enjoy driving my FWD C30, and the C30 with the mods I have done is definitely the quicker car through the corners. The same speed that I would have to fight with the RX-8 I can almost cruise with the C30, but that's probably mostly down to my coilovers and great tires on the C30 vs stock suspension and bad tires on the Mazda. But the Mazda is more fun, and more of an experience with the 9500RPM Doritos. But I also think it's an unfair comparison, since the rx-8 is literally a sports car with double wishbone front, multi link rear, and a slight rear weight bias. And with a majority of that weight being close to the centre of the car. The ends of the car just feel weightless, and when you corner hard, it just feels like it's rotating around the centre point of the car, I've never, ever experienced anything like it elsewhere, it literally feels bizarre, but sooo good. Not to mention the Limited slip rear diff, making all intersections and roundabouts into drifting games. It's absolutely ridiculous how easy the RX-8 is to control when sliding. My first time ever going sideways in it I literally just did it, and it was just like "wow, that was way to easy!" I think my 4th time ever going sideways I connected two low speed corners without a problem. Absolutely crazy! Basically if you ever get a chance to drive a RX-8 on some twisty roads, DO IT! 😃

    • @JustGrant25
      @JustGrant25 22 дні тому

      Thanks!! I've been trying to put a more effort into my pacing and the editing I'm glad its doing something! I can totally see how the RX-8 would be a more interesting car to drive especially with the doritos 😂 That sounds awesome to just slide it around successfully on your first try! sounds like your enjoying it so far!! someday I'll have to drive one it sounds like a blast!

  • @billwylde4846

    The driver's "driving style" is another factor in the equation of a fun vehicle. I've ridden with other folks and drove their vehicles later on. Let's just say majority of the drivers only know how to go "fast" on the straight aways and they don't know how to take a corner FAST. Another variable is the driver's regular attitude when they drive. Many of the drivers I rode with are NPCs. "20 years" of just NPC driving is not an experience to be proud of.

    • @JustGrant25

    Torque steer is really a balancing issue, it doesn't really have much to do with drivetrain. The reason why it is particularly prominent in fwds is because they are pretty horribly balanced from the factory. Most fwd engines are mounted off centre for packaging reasons and there can be physical differences in length of actual driving and steering components which cause left or right pull on high throttle input. If you got a Subaru and took out the rear driving axle to make it a fwd and it was a WRX(high powered) it likely wouldn't pull that much to either side given how well balanced the boxer engine and other engine bay components are from factory.

  • @herniagaming
    @herniagaming 26 днів тому

    Contrary to popular belief you can drift fwd, and these cars absolutely destroy rwds on dirt. Some of the biggest drifts on gravel I've seen done by fwds. With the correct tires and sway bar set up, they can hang the back out on tarmac as well, or just by simply ripping the handbrake.
