  • Let's try this double Fifine K688 Podcast Setup, using the Teyun Q12 interface, in a real world scenario. We'll review it with my good friend ‪@zackbulatao‬ (Urban Manong Photography on Facebook). It's a great Fifine USB microphone with XLR compatibility.

    They’ve updated these mics to make them better. The moved the capsule back to make it less prone to plosives. They also made the windscreen thicker. I use it for my podcast

    • @DaveSoltura
      @DaveSoltura  Рік тому

      @@scoremoore4280 Thanks for the comment! :) The buzzing is only when using the included USB-C cable (gotta use a 3.0 cable) or when using the Teyun, which creates the buzz. On usb 3.0 and with other audio interfaces, the K688 is a very clean-sounding mic! :)

      @@DaveSoltura Thanks for fast reply! Going to buy this mic now, can you please tell me if the builtin usb audio interface is somehow good? I heard in another video review that a guy bought 2 microphones and got 2 broken usb audios.

    • @DaveSoltura
      @DaveSoltura  Рік тому +1

      @@arthurkelley That was my experience as well. I bought two copies just like the person you’re referring to. The issue isn’t with the broken preamp, but it’s with an incompatible cable included in the box. You’ll need a high speed USB C to USB C cable. I can’t recommend any particular cables as I just re-use the one that came with my ipad.

      Hi there! Have you tried selecting the Teyun Q12 in audacity as a Recording Device? I’m not sure if it would selectable as Teyun Q12. You can just do trial and error and pick devices and try recording with them until you hear your xbox sound. @@ommii The closest experience I can share is when my wife wanted to run her audio from her interface into her audio software (Ableton), and use it on Zoom. To make this work, she needed a plug-in (though she can’t remember which). There should be free and paid plugins to accomplish this. I hope we could’ve been of more help, but that’s the extent of our knowledge on this. Really hoping you can get it to work!

      @DaveSoltura  Рік тому

      @@HaNaDou1009 The Teyun Q12 can only do either 2 dynamics, and 2 condensers, not 1 of each. This is because there is only 1 phantom power switch.
      Condensers require phantom power.
      Dynamics do not, and it is best practice not to supply them with phantom power.
      Given you can only have phantom power on or off for both, you can’t use one of each.
      It takes an interface that has individual phantom power buttons per xlr port to do that. One that I know is the Motu M2, but it’s on the pricey side.
