I have been building a digital logic Calculator based off my Minecraft Calculators. I've seen a lottttt of unique, cool calculators, a LOT. This one might be my favorite. This is "amazing". It's beautiful and wonderful. I love this. I won't lie. 3 seconds in, I thought the off switch was just a lame flywheel disconnecting the inputs, but ITS MOTORIZED! From one nerd to another, thank you for this work of art!
Also interesting note to add here. I "believe" (still waiting on a few last chips to come in) that like your mechanical lego calculator, the decimal to Binary input encoder microchip will take the highest number pressed, at least in an old school basic design like mine. So basically, if you press 1, but never let off, then hit 9 or anything higher, each higher number will over ride the lower number. Not 100% the same but pretty close.
I love the satisfying sound the keys make when you press them, and just how you can press keys to make the entire thing do its magic.
Nice and unique. It is a very interesting design. It reminds me of a rotary phone for some reason.
Same
Good to see you here from Eurobricks. This is well done, very compact.
