Something that I always wonder about is why so many people see Piqué as a "bad" centerback or that he is not on the level of for example Ramos, Boateng, Godin, Chiellini etc. I don't know if it's because he speaks his mind quite often on Twitter, if it's because he scored an own goal vs Bayern 4 years ago, or if it's because he's a pretty lanky and slow player that makes people have this view of him. Because performance and ability wise he's so solid and among the very best in his position, he's even got 0 defensive errors this season yet people claim he can't defend. It is just something that bugs me and shows that many people don't watch our games that often, though I don't think Piqué cares the slightest, with that trophy cabinet and that woman...

Wander Fone, Bud, if you see, the guy's talking about Pique not being considered as one of the best and being overshadowed by Ramos who no doubt is world class but he's recognized as being the better defender even tho he's amazing offensively but his defending capabilities are atrocious. anyone else think that in proportion to the rest of the team, the defenders and goalies are the best players on the team? the attackers can make mistake after mistake but still win but usually when the defender or gk makes a mistake, it ends up in a goal. not trying to disrespect the attackers but that's just my point of view

I don't think that his defending is in the top 3 in the World. If you look to the numbers of his Red Cards, than you can see that Pique has a more diciplined defending than Ramos. But both are World class Centrebacks!👌

The highest Pique ever concede in an El Clasico is 3 with Ronaldo, Bale, Ozil, Di Maria, Higuain etc the most Ramos ever did was 6. Chellini conceded 4 against Madrid, and Spain. Yes Spain lost 1-5 but the whole midfield was out of control. Pique has the best interception rates and successful tackles. He might not be as fancy or as attacking minded but in 2014/15 he was La Liga top scoring defender. He has never lost a top final apart from a Copa Del Rey and Copa Espana finals. Pique has also won everything apart from the Balon dor.
