Constantly criticized, and having started the season slowly, Gerard Piqué once again comes back to his best self and makes the doubters eat their words. Absolutely fantastic since the start of the new year, and especially in the battles against Geri's favourite opponents Real Madrid. Yup he's constantly criticised. BTW Barca don't park the bus and midfielders fail to support the defenders during counter attacks and he's made responsible for that! 90% of crosses are blocked by Pique!!! Mighty man

i think right now its van dijk and pique. van dijk is more consistent though, pique is not really on form in the firsy half of season but now he is on fire

There are no other CB at the moment as good as Gerra...whether it's a slide tackle , positioning , winning the headers against straikers ,ball playing CB and crucial in build up play, and of course the man who always consider himself as a centre forward,scoring vital goals in set plays...he's a rare complete defender out there right now
He is the pressure absorber for his team mates. His ability to deal with the first wave of pressure makes him the best cb currently and one of the best in the history. He is an alpha man both on and off field. The best player for us so far this season.

Pique is arguably the best and the most underrated CB in the world at the same time, ATM he's better than everyone out there. He's better than Ramos and has been for a while now, scoring goals is the only area Ramos edges over him. Godin (whom I put above Ramos) is the one I would like to compare with him.
Moreover he's the guy I've always idolized and I seriously think that he should be our captain rather than Messi.
Obviously a CB...would appreciate another one at his best level...but for captain, though he has a strong personality I prefer the sweet busquets,!!! And of course pique and Godin are better than Ramos

His anticipation has been improved a lot, which makes him stronger defensively. Some of the early tackles remind me of Mascherano.

I’m here after the second leg of the r/o 16. He was brilliant, and showed what he’s all about.
I've been saying this: Pique is better than Ramos; he just needs a partner like Papa Puyol who keeps him on his heels. Long balls, short passes, sliding tackles, interceptions he is better than Ramos.
Ramos just have goals, is good in air, is bit faster and physically tough on opponents.
Both are good but we all know who is the better one.
Ramos best season isn't even close to pique 14/15 season
I think lenglet did pretty solid against madrid he was very aggresive but clean tackles like puyol did , but umtiti is coming back , we will see

I'm amazed even after watching Barca every match I miss these tiny details that your'e able to show. Pique is always better than Ramos in my opinion and the way he is going this season is unstoppable
Been oustanding recently, great to see. I was one of the people who thought he was finished, and he had indeed been performing at a sub-par level for a few years, but he seems to have once again have found to his old level. Crucial for Barca’s CL-hopes, they have a golden chance this year with Real Madrid and PSG (and possibly Juve) having screwed up.
