Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is the answer guys!!! That combines photogrammetry data with man-made objects like trees and buildings. When somebody finds a way to convert MSFS 2020 sceneries into Assetto Corsa I think that will be the true GAME CHANGER! ♥♥♥
i'm 3d environment artist and no it will not my friend, and unless u have a biffy server at home it's impossible
Msfs won't allow that
@@AxtrodoSulfur They're not owner of the world, Someone find a way to make the maps beauty as Msfs and make a racing game it's a true possibility
Lol
Lol this is complete useless
I've been looking for a tutorial like this, you're a lifesaver. Hope there's more coming, thank you!
quite amazing. nothing i will ever do or perfect, i just stick to painting but you got to admire the work that has been done here
this make me appreciate more of developers and programmers
I could see this being used as an easy way to model buildings around a road and you can use other assets closer to the road or cover up missing details with barriers
This video and channel need to blow up!!! This is awesome 😎😎😎
The mad lad, actually showed the process!
Dude you are so amazing. Thank you for these tutorials. I would have only dreamt about making maps from my local city, now it seems very much possible. Thank you.
Did you make one? I would love to, too, but I have zero 3d skills, i guess it would take me a year. In that time we might fly through space in RL...
Very cool, thanks for the tutorial - with the correct location this could be quite viable. 👍
Lublin 💀💀💀💀
This is just amazing in every single way
Jedva sam cekao da izbacis video :D Odlicno je ispalo.Svasta sam naucio od tebe.
You're the best, fantastic video, thanks!
This is what I've been hoping for for so long. Subs to your channel a few months ago to follow your project. Hope it will be released for noobs like me to create my own racetrack for games like ACC / AMS2. Where can we donate to support you on this project?
Cool ideas mate.
You can get better LOD when downloading the photogrammetry mesh by zooming out the chrome page.
thank you for this, highway 280 is in my future!!
very informative, great video
Nice stuff 👍🏼🔥
Hello, when you remodel the road, how do you put the texture from one model to the other? because there are many textures
yes!!!
thank you!
This is wild!
Thank you
Hvala brate
Kakav si ti brat!
is this available for google earth since its more detailed
This feature should be in every racing game. How hard can it be? Select roads on map and thats your track.
I was trying to do this with the Livorno track in Italy but it's so bloody difficult to get working :(
How did you remodel the mesh? Is it a transparent layer above the actual mesh or were the vertices actually changed? If so, how?
I remodeled the road mesh, and baked the texture from the original. The original mesh is deleted.
@@lipsach Thx
brat bratu da mogu pokrenuti sve to rado bih, inace ukupno dobar video :)
Great work! This video and the another one (the one where you make photogrammetry based on photos taken using a bike) make me think: is that possible make photogrammetry maps with that google street view 360° photos?? 🤔
I talked about that here ua-cam.com/video/f4zxp2IdXQo/v-deo.html
Hi there im starting a project soon of creating my local area as a playable free roam map in asseto corsa but i live in the countryside and so altitude changes are very frequent. So i was just wondering if this method translates altitude changes well and if not what would the best was to achive that? Great video by the way very helpful!😄
This method captures altitude changes. But this photogrammetry mesh on google maps is not available for the whole earth, it is mostly cities, so your area migh not be included. The other easier method to get elevations, but less accurate, is with blender GIS plugin, ua-cam.com/video/YNtKnmRXVlo/v-deo.html and start from there.
hi, did you already started ?
When I found your video about how to do it using photogrammetry 7 months ago, I immediately thought of importing the 3d of Google maps or earth
So I made my research, eventually manage to reconstitute my city in Blender and create the track
But when I tried to import the fbx file into the ks editor : it crashs without even starting to load
I think my mesh is way to detailed : 3,2 million vertices
So I just came to watch how you did it and I see that you just made a video on the googleMap method 3 months ago
Do you know by how much I have to decimate my mesh, and if subdividing it into small meshes helps for it to work ?
Thank you for your videos, this was really a great project idea 😁
Yes, you need more smaller meshes. Also if it still crashes, you can separate your scene into more fbx files, and exsport more kn5 files, and make AC load all of them with models.ini . Separating to more kn5 files is also good because exports are faster.
@@lipsach nice tip, cant wait to give it a go when i have some more time, thank you for your wisdom
@@lipsach thanks for the help, I managed to do it
It's far from yours but that's what I expected and I'm happy with it
ua-cam.com/video/Q4-xT81fnWM/v-deo.html
How do you get from the blender project to the game? When i import the fbx to kseditor i can't export de texture and it's all black
Follow this guide assettocorsamods.net/threads/build-your-first-track-basic-guide.12/
is it possible to retexture everything so it wont be blurry?
Maybe textures could be improved with some upscaling and sharpening, but I'm not sure.
That looks real
Awesome work! How time consuming/hard do you think it would be to cut off all the trees on the map flush with the ground and replace them with generic trees from the base game (assuming that's even possible, I don't know much about modding Assetto Corsa)? If that were possible, I would think it would provide a pretty dramatic quality improvement to this and/or your previous photogrammetry map.
It shouldn't be too hard. I am planing to try that on some other project.
@@lipsach Very nice!
How did you export the blender file in assetto Corsa?
FBX format. I talk more in detail in other videos.
Can I make a 40km coast line track of Estonian coast with this way?
Most likely not, because only cities have photogrammetry meshes on Google.
can you create a map with google earth ?
How do I pass the map from blender to ksEditor, without having to select each texture?
You should put all the texture you use inside "Texture" folder, in the track folder.
\texture
IMPORTANT, as this will be used by the exporter when setting up materials/shaders.
Use it to store all the textures you plan using for your track.
This does not exist in a typical track folder (it is not needed when playing the game), because it will be included into the kn5 file, after the final export.
This is excerpt from this page
assettocorsamods.net/threads/build-your-first-track-basic-guide.12/
have you thought about using AI upscaling for the textures?
I didn't. Maybe I'll give it a try on another project.
I was looking for this comment. Damn, this could be amazing, I'm already imagining my favorite back roads here in the neighbourhood in Dirt Rally 😍I swear I'm willing to pay and dox myself for a playable map of my countryside and town Xd I searched for "google street view racing game" so I"m very satisfied, Great video!
so there is a way to make this higher quality?
Not from the google maps, but if you make your own photoscaning. Like in my previous videos.
@@lipsach ok thanks
and what if i want my whole city?
Beograd ❤
Do you work on fiveerr? Im looking for someone to create a game where I can drive around my city.. we are firefighters and we are hiring people that are not used to the area so im thinking having a game where u can drive around town and learn streets would be perfect
I am not on fiverr. But anyway I am not available right now to work on your project.
brate ajde napravis stazu stare karaburme i celu visnjicku pls
And how do you do to reduce polygons
If you use Blender, there is decimate modifier.
@@lipsach I tried that method, but I don't get to reduce like in your video. The vertices stay very close together. And it loses its uv

Can I pay you to make me a map lol ?!?
Hey, is it also Possible for gta v ?
I am not familiar with GTA modding.
Are you Russian? I asked due to your accent.
Serbia.
@@lipsach Nice. I noticed the cyrillics from some words in the video and figured you’re Serbian.
