@@lucidfxurbaked I worked with Dee at Z104 back in 1991. The best way to get into a radio station, is to see if you can work, or volunteer in the promotions department, the learn everything you can, and make friends with the program director. Let the PD know you are interested in being on air or voice tracking. Work hard and always be available!
Hi Ellis. I hope you’re going to put together a tape honoring WCBS NEWSRADIO 88. On August 26 they are signing off after almost 60 years in NY. A sad for New York radio. A lot of good talented people will be out of work as well as loosing a great news station that differs so much from their sister station, 1010 WINS. The city won’t be the same. And, do we really need another sports station??
I went to the same high school as Leykis, a few years later. His schtick is not schtick - he really is a prick IRL...he infiltrated our high school alumni page and was an absolute a-hole, true to form, attacking other alumni and going on about how much money he has and his expensive house etc... F*** this guy. But I otherwise love your airchecks. Ans yes, please preserve the sad end of WCBS880 if possible, sad state of affairs in radio these days. (CHML 900 Hamilton just shut down as well after nearly 100 years)
I'm impressed once again . Thank you again 😊
Thank you for this show! You have a perfect radio voice brother! 💪
@@patbrown463 Thanks. After 45 years on the air, nice to know I still have it!
