The residents of Sri Lanka are incredibly warm and welcoming. To truly understand this country, you should definitely make a trip here. The true essence of Sri Lanka surpasses the portrayals often seen in the media. In my opinion, this is the most beautiful country in all of Asia.
Colombo is becoming a sophisticated and South Asia's cleanest city. Soon they will open Sri Lanka’s first I-Max cinema, a Scope cineplexwith 1,200 seats in 6 theatres
Are u a local Colombo guy or expat , world's been followin SLK's main events: since war end to Church bombs; Covid ; economy collapse; to protests & 2 ex presdnts expelled (Rajbpakses) & at last v slow & promising recovery just last 1+ mo,
Other than slowly returning tourists how many locals can afford all this pricy I-max, malls, high end grocers that are very empty for several yrs & now too (per many vlogs) !
I'm sure it's going to get better but you got how many new& big malls last time there was just 1 mall only, now per vlogs-> lily towers, new Chinese built city on sea reclaimed land, new Hambantot Airport, Harbours, even few 3-4 new Golf course that expensive than similar Can-Am golf courses (per my google searches-as to my interests)
all good but reading dozens of local's comments on tons of latest few yrs many vlogs, its very tough economy etc most locals saying though!
ODEL founder Mrs . Otara is a great human being who dedicated odel for the lives of injured and neglected dogs, even NAS DAILY made a video about her

McDonalds stopped their operations in Sri Lanka due to a dispute with the franchisee, Abans.
8:50 You can easily find cables in Pettah..or any other retail shop which are specialized in selling cables...Sometimes you can find in communications too.

Hi amazing video of seeing the new mall of SL. Just like to mentioned that the Popeys Chicken is nothing like KFC. Both are American chicken franchise however, Popeys Chicken has its own uniquiness founded by Al Copleand from New Orleans Louisiana USA. You will love the side orders such as the fried onion rings or cajun rice or red bean and rice. From NOLA and found it amazing seeing it way over in SL.
Most of supermarkets food courts is selling service that's why they don't take tax .but when you go to restaurants and hotels they will charge you tax and service charge.
Service charge is more like tips in some other countries.

The cable is there in many Pettha mobile shops just ask for a “iPhone adapter for a normal headphone.” The price range is around 800 to 1200 and the maximum 2000 rupees, anymore than that you can slap him or her 😂 and in some shops it’s just 500 but after the covid and the protests many products are now high.😢

Wow this mall & during Covid I saw Galleface1 vlog too, both are v big, this one price u mentioned are ok to good, but locals usually comment as these r pricy malls just like Cda-US big pricy malls, but this has better food choices of many countries definitely, but missing is Japan's, Italy, French, Steak, UK, Mac & may be they should also get your Kazakh one too,

At the beginning of this year, the current government imposed 18% vat tax on all goods and services, so many restaurants collect it separately, but some restaurants added it and presented a new menu with the vat. And it also happened to grocery items because there is a fixed price for them in Sri Lankan stores, so in the beginning, the supermarket charged the 18% vat tax separately.

Popeyes is sounded like Pop-Eyes similar to the Hollywood Cartoon Character Popeye and similar to KFC, McDonald's, Burger King, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Subway etc. (which are currently in Sri Lanka as well) is an American Fast-food Restaurant Chain very popular in USA , and in the U.S, the name of the company is known as "Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, Inc" .
