Coming from a punk, metal and electronic music background; I was only vaguely aware of Phish and jam bands. but I recently got into the Grateful Dead and now becoming a Phish phan. Watching this in the corona era and I love it, makes me happy :)
Seen well over 100 live shows ...heards at LEAST 3-4 times more than that and this 2nd set was historic !! Kudos to these brilliant musicians musicians for still shredding the stages and moving the crowd/REAL phans !! For everyone wondering, this is trending because they usually charge you money on their app to see their stuff live, but they live streamed this for free. That, and the fact that they have a huge fans base(myself included) makes a #1 trending combo.
It's weird how fragmented everything is these days. Phish is one of the top touring bands of the last 25 years or so, but the average person has never heard them. That's fucking weird.

That is a jam being crafted in the moment, completely unique to tonight, never played before and will never be played again, and its beautiful, full of great interplay, valleys, peaks, and just a great musical journey, until it seamlessly transitions into one of their songs(NICU).

Good effort trying to explain it to people that aren't aware of Phish. I'm not sure first time listeners will understand why Jim -> Antelope -> Jim -> Antelope -> Makisupa -> Antelope was really incredible.

They tour the USA every spring, summer and fall where they sell out every venue they play. They have their own streaming service for all their live concerts but you have to pay to watch the stream, but for tonight's show Phish decided to stream this concert for free so fans from all over the internet flocked here. And its only competition on the trending tab was a Kanye interview, some music video, and the latest Hot Ones.

On 8.10.18, I had an almost perfect day. It was a standard Friday at work, then an Awesome Yoga class after work, and then an awesome Couch Tour Phish Friday night Summer show / Pizza dinner Party with my Great Friend Pep! And now giving this show another go, solo style, March 2020. This show is an underrated gem. Phish is sweeter than you-hoo!

Wow what a great show you could tell they were having fun and it really showed in the second set which was as good as a set this summer IMO. I hope this energy and fun keeps on going
The second set in Alpharetta on 8/3 and the opening set the next evening were epic Phish, but I do agree that this was by far the best second set of the summer East Coast run so far. The energy and creativity of the season set of this night has been my personal favorite especially with the versions of Meatstick, Drowned, NICU, Runaway Jim > Run Like an Antelope > Runaway Jim > Run Like an Antelope and of course busting out You Enjoy Myself then an encore of A Day in the Life was epic. I felt like I was in a time machine.
Today is the 1 *year* anniversary of when this concert was streamed. 🤓 EDIT- 2:20 P.M.: *finishes video 3 hours and 23 minutes later* I had never heard a Phish song or seen them perform live before. These guys were good! 👏

I was at this Phish concert!!! And I think Page (the keyboardist) looked at me and my family during Stealing Time from the Faulty Plan (the opener of the show). But if not, then it was probably during Funky Bitch (the song after Stealing from the Faulty Plan, which is a cover) that Page looked at me and my family. So then, after Funky Bitch, they played Ocelot (the song on my shirt)! And that made me really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really happy.

That's what I was saying. Most casual phans haven't heard half this stuff! So, newcomers will surely not understand Trey forgetting the words to half a song or the laughter throughout the first set bc they were doing some real deep cuts. I however stayed up til 5am this morning watching and now rewatching bc I fucking loved it!!!!
I started to go to phish shows again after a long, long time away. Man things have changed.....but they remain the same. I have seen a couple shows since 04 and this is the other one. I had a great time and the “Stealing time from the faulty plan” sealed how I felt. The RAM Jam was excellent! The only song I didn’t want to hear they played; that one where they mention the guy from Barney Miller. All in all good times!!

Been a Phan since 03.saw most of the west coast shows and been couch touring the rest and man I wish i wasn’t missing Curveball this year. After this show I think I just will try to parachute in.

I was at this Phish concert!!! And I think Page (the keyboardist) looked at me and my family during Stealing Time from the Faulty Plan (the opener of the show). But if not, then it was probably during Funky Bitch (the song after Stealing from the Faulty Plan, which is a cover) that Page looked at me and my family. So then, after Funky Bitch, they played Ocelot (the song on my shirt)! And that made me really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really happy.

That's what I was saying. Most casual phans haven't heard half this stuff! So, newcomers will surely not understand Trey forgetting the words to half a song or the laughter throughout the first set bc they were doing some real deep cuts. I however stayed up til 5am this morning watching and now rewatching bc I fucking loved it!!!!

you inspired my parents and it passed on to me so you are my favorite band tweaser is dope and i like lumpy head.
I started to go to phish shows again after a long, long time away. Man things have changed.....but they remain the same. I have seen a couple shows since 04 and this is the other one. I had a great time and the “Stealing time from the faulty plan” sealed how I felt. The RAM Jam was excellent! The only song I didn’t want to hear they played; that one where they mention the guy from Barney Miller. All in all good times!!
