Hey mike I got a question about the Miata pistons how much should the gap be for the the top and bottom rings? I’m running 8 psi of boost on a 1.6 stock pistons please help this is the only thing stopping me from putting it together thanks mike
Hello, The rule is .002 inch per inch of piston diameter. So your bore is a little over 3 inches so Min, is .006. That said with the boost and extra heat I would recommend .008 to .010. good luck with your Miata Mission. Mike the King of Miatas.
