I would happily trade in my 2007 Nissan Altima which is my daily driver for this KIA.The features are great! The blind spot warning which is pretty quick to pick up a vehicle, the lane departure warning feature etc.I like the sound from the exhaust pipe as well. It's okay for a basic vehicle the way i see it.Thanks for the review hope you enjoyed Hawaii.
I went from a 99 Honda Accord to this an I’m in love with mine
I find it surprisingly sporty and quick, in sport mode.. while I’m alone in the car with no luggage lol
I was hard on that car but it’s decent. Couldn’t beat the fuel mileage.
Keep pushing bro
I just got this car a few days ago. It’s perfect for my daily driver. I love it.
I have this car and I love it
I’ve had my 2019 Optima FE for two years and I will say that I can agree with your assessment regarding the 2.4 engine. For me, I feel like it depends on the situation as well. It’s best in its element during city/local driving. Highway driving and certain situations when I need to be more aggressive at higher speeds, has been a mixed bag. Coming from a stop, the shifts are smooth but it goes to 2nd gear quick and almost feels like it needs to catch it’s breath (a big gulp of air) and THEN it accelerates. But I mostly drive locally so it’s fine for me.
Great standard safety features for a base model.
I agree! Around Maui, where speed isn’t a priority and you would rarely need to use full throttle it’s perfect.
It’s loaded with safety for a standard car that most brands would charge thousands for “driver assistance bundles”
@@eddiemcars if I could do it all over again, I would’ve opted for the 1.6 turbo/EX. The 2.0/SX is where the fun and power exists in the lineup, but the fuel economy is just so-so, and I do not like the DRL’s on the SX. 🤷♂️ LOL. I’m picky like that lol
Yes this is slow and spartan for a base level sedan, but so is the base engines for the Camry, Accord, Corolla, Altima, Sentra, and Civic- and those have CVTs on them. At least this comes standard with a six speed automatic. I know because I got one on a cheap lease in Sep 2020. The dealer was trying to get rid of these in order to make room for the new K5. Couldn't spend a lot since we were having a new house built and were on a budget. This was right before the chip shortage. With that being said, I am thankful I was able to get one of these before the now hyperinflation, expensive gas, no vehicle in dealer lots era. Even though I wouldn't mind something nicer (ie Subaru Outback Wilderness), if the chip shortage and high prices last into 2023, I may just decide to buyout on the lease on this and keep this forever because of the current insane prices.
When you are driving an M series BMW everything will feel slow lol
This is a true!
👍👍
Fe strands for fans edition
It's ok car from here to there, lol
My 2008 Kia Optima feel fast to me
It wasn’t that slow but I’m comparing it to the 1.5 turbo Honda Accord.
"Surprise motherf*cker, it kia"
🤣🤣🤣
24mpg sucks I have one and I want to throw it in the trash
You don't like it?
