I like the square opening in the console. Most new cars seem to only have cup holders and no other open areas. I like to keep a bottle of sanitizer in my car and that opening will be a good place to put it. I take pictures of trains for a hobby and carry a handheld scanner a lot when I'm looking for trains. That square opening is also good place to put my scanner.
I think it's a beautiful car. I actually like it in a green tinted grey they sell. It has an elegant look.

9:12 *midsized. Kia was still producing the Cadenza at the time, which was bigger and more expensive than the Optima.
These are a steal used especially for the top trim SX & SXL versions of the Optima! And this isn't a full-size sedan, it's a midsize sedan
I am currently shopping for a new midsize car to replace my 2011 Camry. I like the Optima a lot. I don't like that it doesn't come with a spare tire and you have to pay extra to get one. The seat belts also seem thin and narrow compared to other cars. One thing I don't get is why the LX is rated at 35 mpg on the highway, while the S is only rated at 32 mpg. They both have the same engine and weigh about the same.
I've owned a Kia Optima S for over two years now. My combined mileage has been about 34.5 mpg. I've gotten as much as 39 mpg on the highway, but 35-36 is more typical. So, for me at least, the car has exceeded its EPA estimates for fuel economy and I'm driving in the comfort mode. I might do even better if I used the economy mode.
What do you think of the kia optima LX? vs. S?
I got the lx turbo with the tech package love it ! It’s fully loaded only thing it’s missing is a sun roof & leather but I’d skip the 2.4 and get the turbo a lot more fun to drive it’s a quick sedan
I'm currently in the market for a new car. My dealership has the Optima S, fully loaded for $19k brand new. Or I can buy a used Toyota Camry le or se for the same price. Decisions, decisions. 🤔

It's a good looking car and there is a new generation coming in 2021 looks way better. 2021 KIA optima aka K5.
I like the looks of these better than the 2021 (mainly because I don't like the rear end on the 2021) but I'm glad that there are a lot of people like you. It should make it easier for me to get a great deal on a 2020.
I'm going to try to get this Optima S for $15k new with 0% interest in December or January. I want the blind spot monitor and Auto emergency brake with pedestrian detection. No more collision please!
Best price I see is $21,500 S Trim w/ power seat. That's almost $6,000 off.
My dealership has the Optima s for $19k, dropped down from $26k. I was thinking of offering $15k to $16k cash, being the 2021's will soon be out. I have never, ever heard of a brand new car not coming with a spare tire. What the hell is with that. They can throw in a doughnut for pennies on the dollar.🤔
