If you can't open the door, the panel can not come off !
How do I open a door where both handles are broken ?
You cant take the panel off on the front door if both sides arent opening. Everyone is doing a video for the back doors or if it doesnt only open from the outside on the front door. Yea if you can get the front door open you can remove the panel but if both wires are popped how the heck can i get the door open to remove the panel. Ugh! 1997 Xj6 L Jaguar
Veery VERY helpful video! Job done & fixed used PB-Blast to lube the inner pivot lever the overrides the locks. Note to anyone doing this and struggling with the door panel there is a triangle black molding piece that has 2 press clips that you must remove on the rear passenger doors BEFORE freeing up the bottom door panel push clips. Then just bop it up from the bottom of the door panel. Thanks again Jamie! God Bless Brother!
Nothing works. Thinking latch is broken. Now what would I do ? Door is partially open but opens no further. I have inside panel off. Pulling on both rods,...for lock & door latch release. I can touch what seems to be lock lever, with screw driver, up & down. Sounds like latch is releasing but only opens part way. I am afraid to try shutting door all the way & trying to open that way but if it doesn't open at least partially again, I figure I would be worse off.
