I can't tell you how many vidueos I had to go thru before I could find anyone talking about the cable and housing. Thankyou so very much for posting this.
This is the first video I've seen that focuses on the bottom door latch. I've used a hook to release it like you've shown but I couldn't find a way to communicate it to another person. Your release is shown spot on. Thanks !! An addition: if you are working on a Ford van.... one reason the cable broke is the latch rusted and became hard to release. Get the handle, cable and lower latch as a unit. Forget just repairing the cable.
Thanks for the complement. True about the rust. I have had several people tell me they couldn't get the latch to release due to rust. I guess in areas with road salt and near the ocean get just enough salt and water in that area to screw it up. Might be a good idea to spray some mineral oil/baby oil in that area from time to time.

Great follow-up to read door panel removal! Every owner of a 2008-2010 f350 will want to see this when their rear door will not unlock or open, lol. Thanks 👍
You have saved me, if i can physically do the work! Im down to one completely operational door out of 6, 3 open from the inside, 2 stuck. Yay. Thank you!😊
Awesome vedio I replaced the clips because the rubber ones were damaged somehow the cable came off the latches both top and bottom by watching your vedio i was able to unlock the latches thank you for your vedio great job
Thank you for the help! Your video is greatly appreciated and your efforts to help other home mexhanics does not go unnoticed. 1995 Ford Bronco - "OJ Simpson"
Outstanding video. The cable was disconnected from upper my rear driver side cargo latch on my e350 van. You're trick using a small drill to actuate the mechanism through the latch screw hole,, saved the day. Many thanks
Amazing amount of help! I have seen some great people who know how to use a video camera correctly, but this gentleman takes some amazing details and closeups! THIS is the video you are looking for! My F350 back door is back fully operational, Thank You! p.s. Be sure and test your inside and outside door releases!! It may keep you from having to remove the door panels again :)
Great video you can’t fix it if you can’t open it and that’s my problem all the other videos show the ball end of wire coming off that’s an easy fix . My cable completely broken and not attached to latch ,This on the other hand is a great video !mines 2012 ford super cab or extended with the handle in middle and x2 latches one on top and other at bottom
Thank you, this was very helpful. I replaced the cable ends with Dorman Part No: 926-111. Three are alike and one is different, to fit the one latch mechanism that requires it.
Yes. That kit is for the 1992-2019 Fords. Might not work for every model. That's a great way to go if you can wait for the parts to arrive. For the folks that can't wait, you can make one from something like a bicycle brake adjust like in my other video.
I would like to thank you for suggestions on how to get the latch open if pulling the cables don't work or if the cable pulls out. I will try that tomorrow.
Penetrating oil is probably your best bet, but it has a very strong odor that will stick around for a while. You can try some others first that may not smell as bad. Be sure you have the top one released first so you aren't fighting against it. Good luck
i really mess up the lock because I installed an actuator I bought on line. I suspect the design is the problem. I will probably watch your video over and over until I can figure this mess out.
+Wayn Jul I agree. I am kind of new to this youtube thing, so it takes we quite a while to get the video edited. There are a bunch of other videos about that out there. Hardest part is getting the cable sheath sanded down so you can get the new end on without forcing it. Use a 60 grit sandpaper. When you get it close, put a little soap on it to make it slide on easier. Good luck.
My friend has a 2005 Mercury Monterey what now has a bad power hatch release. I was wondering if her mini van already came with an emergency hatch release under a panel back there or under the carpet or whatever. But she's got so much junk in the van, should couldn't get to anything anyhow. But I'm still very curious about it. I believe some mini vans come with an emergency release cable if the power hatch motor dies. If not, you can make your own by rigging a cable similar to the one in use to make it easier. Take a look at how things are and how things operate with your hatch release, and then make a trip to Home Depot. Just buy a pile of stuff since you'll be inventing, and then return what you don't use. That's what I do. I saw you also show the hook method. I have such a hook available in case the cable breaks for the hood (clam shell) release on my C4 Corvette. I'm not sure but I think the Chrysler and/or Ford mini vans had a panel on the drivers side, near the corner where the hatch meets driver side/ what I guess you would call fender panel. I'm sure I've seen it on one of them, or I'm dreaming. I've had several mini vans, Ford and Chrysler, so I could be mixed up. Hmmm.... now that I think of it, I think my Vette has one as well. Great Useful easy to follow video. I bet your friendly calm voice puts many people at ease about their desperate situations. Cheers! John.
Thanks for the video, I have an 01 Kia Rio with the drivers door stuck shut. there is no way to take off the door without it being open. I do not know if this method would work on it, but it has given me hope at least lol! I believe I will keep researching before I go out there and really tear things up
(SECOND DRAFT I SOMEHOW ERASED THE WHOOOOLE LAST ONE)... My neighbors looked at it the other day and mentioned they might have to do that. I looked and the screws for the door panel are at the dash though (at least they are on the other door). So they asked what I was going to do, I told em I was going to watch youtube videos and see if I can figure it out lol! (I first met them when I asked to use their compressor to reseat a tubeless tire. I had my soapy water to seed the bead even lol.) They were in awe that I knew how to do it lol. One of the guys fixed it for me though and even though I know in theory how to do it, I was grateful that he did it. I do not know if I could have done it.... but I woulda tried lol :)
Right now I think I am going to wait until tomorrw as I have already broken a nail. A brand new just bought tote, and almost passed out from the heat... Rate I am going today I will pull a "toolman" and glue myself to the door or something...
If you can get the rear part of the door panel loose, maybe you can stick your arm or a wire hook in and trigger the latch. You could experiment on the passenger side, but be careful not to break it too.
Before I came inside I did mess with the panel from the back seat. I got to hot and everthign started to turn grey so I admitted defeat for the day lol
I got really excited hearing your description. The cable came OFF the lower latch on my '06 Super Duty. After three hours it still isn't released. Not only can I not see it, I cannot touch it. Aside from sawing a hole in the door skin to release the door, what else will release it?
yes I did and I greatly appreciate your response. My biggest problem was getting my arm into the door. But after taking several camera phone pictures I was able to see exactly where I needed to grab the latch. It took every bit of energy I had but I was able to pull it back and released the door. it is now fixed and your video is the reason why. I wanted to personally thank you for taking the time to make such a wonderful video.
I forgot to tell you...If you own a trailer or 5th wheel, you might want to watch my video on a defect I found in the electric brake magnets. Its on my other channel. Here is a link to the video. ua-cam.com/video/UPhhT_383-4/v-deo.html
nice video, informative for pickups but my econoline van rear doors weren't covered. I'm sort of shy about taking the side door apart as it is the only way IN now with locked partition. the cable appears to go into the TOP of the latch and I have been unable to trigger it.
What year make and model is your van? It may be a long time before I can get to take one apart to figure it out. I would recommend going to a u-pull-it type salvage yard and experiment on a door there.
I just think you have to be careful... and at $7.85 on amazon shipped 2 day with prime I'll order another if need be. I liked you video, just needed a bit more.
thanks for the video, can u make one on a ford Econo van E150 ? my back hinged doors will not open from inside or out. actuator still locks and unlocks door, but it will not open locked or unlocked!
I can't get front door open on 2005 dodge ram 1500. Towerl is stuck inside door latch pen. So I have no access to Phillips screws on bottom of the door
Not for something that old. Anything I can suggest would be in the description section of my video, like take the other door panel off to help figure out how it works and what isn't working. Good luck. That a sweet ride ;-)
On my Ford E350 barn doors. I changed mine and somehoe ROYALLY SCREWED UP and my door wont open at all. 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 I have both panels off and have manually pulled and pushed all the levers and triggers and rods and i messed something up!! I think it has to do with the lock and unlock metal rod. Now my back door rod snapped and yesterday my passenger door one did too. I am locked in!!! Everyone has to go through front driver door!!!!!
I don't have much experience with the barn doors. Tell us a little more. Maybe another viewer will have some input. What year? Are these the doors at the rear bumper? Does it have a single latch in the middle or one at the top and bottom? What was wrong with the doors before you started working on them?
👋 Good video, easy to watch and understand. Listen my son, need help. He don't know Im doing this but my son have a old truck that looks like your model, but the door won't open.☹ Not the passengers doors, the door at the rear end of the truck.😒 How do we, get it open? Cause soon, I'm going to have him and his guys, go pick up a mattress for me. Help
I have a 2007 Suburban. Drivers door handle snapped off. Interior door handle doesn't work either. Any ideas on how to pop door or remove panel without being capable of opening?
Hi Arc, I don't have experience with that door. You could either take the passenger side off to help you figure it out, or go to a u-pull-it style salvage yard. You could get some of the parts you need while you are there. Sorry I can't help you more than that.
Watched your other videos on repairing a door latch cable also subbed. Can you tell me where to get the cable repair kit and how to get the right bicycle brake adjusters: I have a ford F-250. The latch is the same as in your video. Thanks.
+Wayn Jul They are sold on sites like ebay and amazon. Do a search for (ford f250 cable repair kit) on ebay or google and you should see a bunch of them. If you have suicide doors, get one of the kits that has a cam design for the top latch. Should be 3 regular ends and 1 cam design for one door. Search ebay for (bicycle brake adjuster). Look for the 10mm ones. They are cheaper if you buy a bag of 10. That gives you some extras in case you make a mistake. I am working on the other videos now, but will probably be a few weeks before they are done.
Mjölnir and some penetrating oil. Just kidding about he hammer. You'll have to get the latch to release internally or you'll likely rip the striker out of the body. I haven't had to work on one of those, so I can't help more than that. Be prepared for retaliation. No matter how good the name sound, most women can't stand the smell of penetrating oil and will refuse to get in your ride once they smell it.
I have a 1999 Chevy 1500 Silverado and I can't get the passenger side door to unlock.I have tried pulling the fuses maneuvering all the mechanisms Inside the door and it still won't unlock.Of course on this model everything is electric (I hate these newer models) but I would greatly appreciate it if someonecould give me some ideas on how to get this door off do I can replace the lock. thank you.
What if the doors are not open and you don't have access from the inside because it is a camper van and there is a sink and a toilet in the way. I am planning on replacing the door so I think I will just cut into it from the outside.
Ouch. That sucks. Those junk cable housing ends sure do cause folks a lot of trouble. Sounds like you may not have another choice unless you can remove the sink and toilet. Sorry I couldn't help more.
@@fixpro256 Not a problem. One back door is really rusty and I have a van lined up with good doors. I might just replace them all, I think the other vans doors are in better shape/ Also the van I bought is a hippy van. They painted everything inside psychedelic. and I mean everything including the seats. I was going to replace the door panels anyway. I have access to everything in the back door. They cut a panel where the linkage is. I have everything disconnected and pulling on all the levers I still cant get it to open.
It is probably a broken cable housing end. You will probably have to remove the panel to see what is wrong. That'a about all I can tell you without seeing it myself. Good luck
I took my driver side rear door (2000 F250) completely apart, replaced all the crumbling plastic pieces with aluminum ones and the upper latch still won't open. I took the cable to the upper latch off and can open it by pulling down on the cable but when it's installed properly, it won't open the latch. I'm out of ideas.
Sounds like you did everything right. If you shorten the lower cable adjustment so it is basically disabled, it might make troubleshooting the upper latch easier. If you adjust the upper cable length as short as it will go (so the release handle pulls the cable as much as possible) the only thing left is to lengthen the outer cable sheath or bend/shim the area where the cable sheath attaches. Have you already watched the other 2 videos I did about the cables? They may trigger a thought. Let me know how it goes. I'm curious what might be wrong. Door Latch Cable Housing End Repair - Extras, Tips and Tricks: ua-cam.com/video/hGXtBr4zGTA/v-deo.html Fix broken cable with bicycle brake adjuster... ua-cam.com/video/7Ta7yx26qwM/v-deo.html
Hello, do you plan on posting "How to fix a broken cable housing using cable housing repair kits" soon? I too have a 1999 F-250. Believe it or not BOTH of my rear doors broke within a couple of days of each other. Ford wanted approximately $850.00 to repair! I have removed the panels and opened the stuck door using your instructional video's. I have only done this on one door at this time. On this door both the upper and lower cable was broken. I have purchased the repair kit through Amazon (enough to repair two doors) but there were no supplied instructions. These are the small polished aluminum replacement ends. Your videos are terrific! P.S. I noticed the Eastern Florida State College sticker in the rear window... I live in Palm Bay!
I probably won't get to the other video you need any time real soon. But there are a bunch of others out there. Main thing is, don't force the end on the black sheath. Sand the sheath down until it will go into the aluminum ends without much resistance. If you got the ones with a cam looking end for the top hinge, those are best. Otherwise you may need to bend the top hinge. Only bend it just enough to get the aluminum piece in, or the spring will pop loose. Good luck. I have a house in Cocoa, but I travel a lot. I am in Jupiter for about a month or two. .
Hi George, I have a major family illness to deal with, so it may be a month or two. Sorry. If you need help with something in particular, let me know and maybe I can help. Thanks
I'm sorry to hear that. I'm headed to the bike shop this morning for my cable ends. Thanks for the video, after watching several yesterday, yours was the most complete.and easy to follow. Thanks, if I have questions, I'm not too proud to ask. GC
Like the videooo, Also .. need some newer videos . with trucks dating from 2005-2019. . got a 2010 . with both handles not able to open the door. knowing latch slipped or busted up line, . 2010 tho. the remove all of the interior is something i'm dredding right now \
@@fixpro256 no but the back two, and yes it did flatten my wallet. I only want to tear it apart once. It is a great truck with 132,000 miles. Showing some cosmetic issues but will attend to that in due time Thanks for the very informative video
I'm guessing it was the top latch cable housing ends that broke? The bottom cables will probably break in the next few years. So you don't have to take it apart again, you can replace the bottom cable housing ends while you have it apart. This is such a common problem with these trucks, they sell just the cables and they also sell kits to replace just the cable housing ends. Or you can make the ends out of a bicycle brake adjuster. Just a matter of price vs how much work you have time/skill to do. Have you seen these videos? How to fix broken cable housing end with bicycle brake adjuster - ua-cam.com/video/7Ta7yx26qwM/v-deo.html How to remove Ford truck rear door panel while door stuck shut - ua-cam.com/video/3tAdn3vXZqg/v-deo.html
If anybody reads this and can help me, PLEASE reply!!!! Here's what happened. We had a blizzard -- first one since the 80's! I had company in the back seat of my Kia Sedona, and the car was still frozen. I was trying to open it up from the outside, while they were trying to open in from the inside. I don't know what happened, but something did. Even though things thawed, the van door will only open now from the outside. How can I fix this without having to resort to expensive mechanics?
I don't have access to my door right now. But I don't usually say bolt sizes because they can differ from model to model, year to year, and even month to month. Be careful listening to others specifying sizes, especially with torx. It's easy to think you have the right size and be one size too small. A size too small will often get the bolt out anyway, but with high torque, it might strip. Always verify that the next size up won't fit. Very easy to screw up torx with a size too small.
I have a Ford E 350 super duty only on of the back doors will open and I don't know how to open the stuck door the cable has come out of the door handle housing. Can you help me please😔
I got a 1992 pontiac transport se with a sliding door which wont open, the outside handle seems to be okay, but the inside handles seems unattached, not functioning, door wont open either way.
Sorry, I have not worked on that model. If you cant access the fasteners to remove the door panel with it shut, try moving or taking out the rear seat. Good luck
I'm having a hard time following. On the good door, are you able to trigger the latch and get the door open without using the door handle? Is the latch that you took out from the good door or the bad door? On the bad door, is the bottom latch releasing?
@@fixpro256 the latch is from the good door and it triggers fine and the bad door's bottom latch does work, I just need to trigger the top one but its stuck
If the inner part of the cable is still attached, you should be able to just pull on it. Were you able to actuate the latch on the good door using a drill bit or rod like I showed in the video? Once you verified that you know how to actuate a top latch, try to trigger the bad latch. Do you hear it click? Make sure you have the lower latch released while you try to trigger the top latch with the rod. If that doesn't work. Do you think the bad door latch is gummed up? If so, try WD40 or some other light lubricant. You can also try penetrating oil, but it smells like hell. Not sure if that latch has much rubber or plastic inside. Some lubricants may screw it up, but at least you might be able to get the door open.
My Acura Integra dinner door went open from outside or inside and can't get the panel off. I pulled it back enough to get to the cable or rod and I manually tried pulling it but it won't budge. How could I opened it?
Sorry I don't have much experience with a similar model. If you can, take the panel off of the other door so you can see how it operates. Be careful not to damage that one too. Some salvage yards will let you go in the yard and pull parts yourself. Experiment on a door there. If you figure out you need a major part you could get it while you are there instead of at the stealership. Good luck!
Hey I'm fighting with a door latch on a 2002 Ford ranger, its my mothers I successfully took the back door handle panel off [driver rear door) and got to get my hand on latch mechanism but she still won't budge there was quite a bit of rust it seemed as i was trying to get the lock open but I examined where the latch would have been pressed on when the wire was used and realized it didn't move the piece forward at all so I used a screw driver to move the little tab and was able to successfully move it back and forth but the bottom latch still wouldn't budge any idea or tips
I haven't had to work on a Ranger like that. Not sure how similar it is to the f250 in the video. Does it have an upper and lower latch? Can you verify that the upper one is releasing? On the lower latch, Is the inner part of the cable still attached to the movable tab? If not, use a stiff wire, like an old coat hanger, to make a wire with a small "L" on the end. Probe around and see if you can trigger the latch. If you think it is full of rust and carp, try some wd40. Spray some from the bottom also if possible. If the wd40 doesn't get the rust free, try some penetrating oil. But it smells like holy hell. Be sure to clean it all out of the door when you're done or you mom will bitch every time she gets in the truck!
I'm on a limited internet connection right now, so I couldn't do too much research. I was trying to find a good pic/video of the latch to see if there is an interlock of some kind. Does your latch have any electrical wires or other rods or cables that might be keeping that lower latch from from opening? Make sure the seat-belt is fully retracted in case there is an interlock there. You could open the other door to see how it works, but be careful. Chances are that cable will break when you start messing with it. But while you have it open, you could fix that side to learn how to open the other side. If you are doing a search on the web for pics and videos, be sure to try "Third gen" "3rd gen" and each of the years 1998 98 1999 99 2000 2001 01 -2012. Its a lot of searching, but you might get lucky and find a better pic/video of the latch. If it were me, I would open the other door, learn how to trigger the working latch, fix it before it breaks(because it will one day), and then use what I learned on the working side to open the bad door. Let me know what you find. Good luck.
If I understand you correctly, you are having a problem with the key not operating the lock???? Try turning the key over, try a different key, wd40... What make and model is your tuck? Does the lock in the other door not work either???
How do you remove the one piece trim panel from the rear door of a Ford Ranger when the door is stuck shut? I pulled the cables, the top pops on one side and only the bottom on the other. This is what I need you to do a video on. Please HELP !
I don't have much experience with the rangers but I think that panel has snaps that hold it to the metal part of the door. You might be able to pry the panel away from the door with a flatbar crowbar. Watch as many videos as you can find so you can see where the openings are. Even if you can't get the panel totally loose, maybe you can sneak a tool in to release the latch. If you can get the back seat loose that may give you a little more room to work(even if you can't totally remove the seat). What year is your ranger?
I have a 2007 Ford e250 with hinged side doors. The secondary door or suicide door has a rusted lower latch. How do I get this door to come open. I can replace the latch after that.
Have you been able to get the inside panels off? If so, soak it down with penetrating oil. If you know you have to replace it, go ahead and get a new/used one. See if you can figure out how to trigger it using the new/used one as a model.
You should be able to remove the panel, and plastic, and reach in to trigger the latch manually. The video is of a 99 f250. Were you not able to do that on your 2003 f-250 model?
I want to buy a small van the size of a car or slightly bigger if I was to get tired and sleep in the back of the van can you open the van back doors from inside
I replaced all ends on my f250 suicide rear doors (with the cam kit). One of the upper latches won’t engage. I tried disconnecting the cable at the handle end and then tried to trigger the latch to close with a screwdriver and it won’t click in. Any suggestions. I’ve soaked it in pb blaster. I may have to find another at a junk yard.
Can you tell if it is stuck in the latched or unlatched position? Compare how it looks and operates to the other side if you need to. Did you bend the tab on the latch mechanism to install the end? I don't think you have to with that cam style. But, if you did, there is a small spring that can come loose. I don't remember what it does, but it might be worth a check. Also make sure the cable operates freely. If it is sticking a little, it will make the latch stick in the unlatched position.
If you didn't watch the "Extras" video? See if the internal parts of your latch look like the one I show around 4:23 in the video. Maybe you will be able to see what is different/broken. Broken cable housing repair (Extras):ua-cam.com/video/Xi1js3_RebQ/v-deo.html

man you saved the day this is the only video ive found on how to get a stuck door open

Awesome vedio I replaced the clips because the rubber ones were damaged somehow the cable came off the latches both top and bottom by watching your vedio i was able to unlock the latches thank you for your vedio great job

great video! saved me a bunch of money and frustration!
This kinda helps, my bottom latch is rusted and wont release. Been fighting with a 90 degree hook and alen but she wont budge
Penetrating oil is probably your best bet, but it has a very strong odor that will stick around for a while. You can try some others first that may not smell as bad. Be sure you have the top one released first so you aren't fighting against it. Good luck

Good luck.
Well done. Clear and helpful.
Very helpful. Great vid. Thank You.
Thank you for your useful knowledge and sharing with us!!
Thanks for the tips. Just finished repair using $8 parts from Amazon and your videos.

Thanks for the help!
Great stuff tank you so much very well done spent better part of a day trying to figure out before watching this video
Sorry mate, panel doesn't come off when the doors are closed. The problem is that doors doesn't open.
Chrysler Sebring 2007
I believe I will keep researching before I go out there and really tear things up
I don't know much about Kia Rio. What if you take the seat out? Just an idea.
Thanks,,, just found mine stuck its a 99 super duty
That's what I have. A 99 with a 7.3 495k. Mine both broke many years ago. If I remember right, it was just a few weeks apart. Good luck to you.
Excellent information thank you Sir!...
Best video yet
Good video thanks for your valuable time and help
I got really excited hearing your description. The cable came OFF the lower latch on my '06 Super Duty. After three hours it still isn't released. Not only can I not see it, I cannot touch it. Aside from sawing a hole in the door skin to release the door, what else will release it?
Have you already taken the door panel off and the plastic sheet liner?
yes I did and I greatly appreciate your response.
Glad to hear you got it fixed. Sounds like I need to make a video covering that year also. Thanks for the nice comments.
I forgot to tell you...If you own a trailer or 5th wheel, you might want to watch my video on a defect I found in the electric brake magnets. Its on my other channel. Here is a link to the video.

nice video, informative for pickups but my econoline van rear doors weren't covered.
Thanks Melvin had it.

Hi David, Sorry, I don't have access to an E150 right now. If I do one day, I will make a video and let you know. Thanks

do you have any info on opening a stuck door on a 1967 Ranchero ? I've had no luck finding any videos. Thank you
Not for something that old.

I have both panels off and have manually pulled and pushed all the levers and triggers and rods and i messed something up!!

What year/make/model do you have? Are you talking about the tailgate?
I have a 2007 Suburban. Drivers door handle snapped off. Interior door handle doesn't work either. Any ideas on how to pop door or remove panel without being capable of opening?
Hi Arc, I don't have experience with that door. You could either take the passenger side off to help you figure it out, or go to a u-pull-it style salvage yard. You could get some of the parts you need while you are there. Sorry I can't help you more than that.

Can you tell me where to get the cable repair kit and how to get the right bicycle brake adjusters:
I have a ford F-250.
+Wayn Jul Search ebay for (10mm bicycle brake adjuster) it will show a bunch of the 10mm ones. You can get a bag of 10 for about $6 to $8.
+fixpro256 Thanks ordered the repair kit.
going to try thanks

how do you open a rear door on a 2001 ford ranger with a bottom rusted latch
Mjölnir and some penetrating oil. Just kidding about he hammer. You'll have to get the latch to release internally or you'll likely rip the striker out of the body. I haven't had to work on one of those, so I can't help more than that. Be prepared for retaliation. No matter how good the name sound, most women can't stand the smell of penetrating oil and will refuse to get in your ride once they smell it.
Awesome video
Thank you so much! Thought I was going to have to go to ford!! Had broken cable also.
I have a 2003 F-250 with a x-cab . I can not open the x-cab why?
I'm curious what might be wrong.

sorry Donald.... video(s) were great thanks fixpro256......
I am in Jupiter for about a month or two. .
Thanks!
When will the "extras" video be available?
Hi George, I have a major family illness to deal with, so it may be a month or two. Sorry. If you need help with something in particular, let me know and maybe I can help. Thanks
I'm sorry to hear that. I'm headed to the bike shop this morning for my cable ends. Thanks for the video, after watching several yesterday, yours was the most complete.and easy to follow. Thanks, if I have questions, I'm not too proud to ask. GC

@@fixpro256 no but the back two, and yes it did flatten my wallet. I only want to tear it apart once. It is a great truck with 132,000 miles. Showing some cosmetic issues but will attend to that in due time Thanks for the very informative video
What was the problem with your latches?
I have a 99 f250 7.3 with 480k miles. Been a great truck.
@@fixpro256 they just didn't work and you could feel the handle wasn't connected to anything.

Jennifer W sounds like the imside handle is either broken or the cables are off of it.
how can i fix my boat door if does not open
Use a power drill and a saws-all, but make sure you are in the middle of the lake or it won't work.. That should do it
What size torx bit or torx bolt it is for the bolt on the top of the door near the latch
Is it a suicide door(opens to the rear)? Did you try the things I suggested in the video?
I got a 1992 pontiac transport se with a sliding door which wont open, the outside handle seems to be okay, but the inside handles seems unattached, not functioning, door wont open either way.
Can you get the inside panel off?
Have a 2010 f150 fourdoor supercab and rear door is stuck shut, any Ideas, all vids i've seen have door open already.
Sorry, I have not worked on that model. If you cant access the fasteners to remove the door panel with it shut, try moving or taking out the rear seat. Good luck
Same problem on my 2010. I'm still searching.
I tried using a rod to open the top latch but it doesn't want to move at all
What make and model do you have? If you have 2 doors, have you tried on the door that works so you can see the parts moving inside?
@@fixpro256 yeah I took out the latch and whenever I pry it it'll open but the other door just doesn't want to budge, it's a 2001 ford F150
It has an upper and lower latch and I do verify that the upper is releasing
Good luck.
