I have much gratitude for this video. Excellent instruction. I've been a locksmith for almost 40 years and am no stranger to removing door panels. Six months ago when one of my door latches failed--resulting in the door not able to latch at all--I found that a piece of the plastic cover had broken off and a spring was coming out. Took the latch case apart, reset the pieces and the springs; superglued the plastic. Reassembled. Tested. Then it failed again, partially latched, and couldn't open the door. Something inside was blocking another piece. I hate when I can't finesse something, but your video inspired me to finally give myself permission to attack it and get on with life. Success. So happy. Thank you again. You're awesome.

I just fixed both of doors today with WD-40 (car: Nissan X-Trail 2005). Very easy to remove front seat (as it is on video). Then pry off panels, with a bit of pulling and yanking they pop off - don't be afraid to break anything, Then spray in lubricant and wiggle the locks with fingers. Both of my locks were jammed, not broken.
Thanks I am very mechanically inclined but for my dear life I couldn’t figure this out. Manual switch was not working and outside handle wasn’t working either. Now I feel confident tackling the job, thanks!
Bought a 98 Suzuki Esteem a few weeks ago, was gonna replace the outside handle from the front passenger side, but the door lock is stuck, key isn't able to unlock it and can't do it by hand either. Probably whoever installed the door handle didn't do it properly and the lock mechanism is getting stuck with something else. I'm gonna try this approach later, thank you!
If u find a way let me know, bought a 92 Nissan d21, no passenger side door handle, inside handle works, driver side inside handle doesn’t work, outside was working but my mom didn’t know it was weak and pulled it wrong it broke.

your 2005 titan has the exact same shitty locks as my 2005 x-trail. My rear left door has been stuck since 2020 and two weeks ago my driver door got stuck. Our Nissans suck or they're way too old.

No you didn't show how you get that latch out of the door you showed undoing those three bolts what does undoing those three bolts do does that open up that metal part right there to get the latch out or what
The outside on the drivers side door snapped clear off in my hand! Does anyone know how to fix it? It's illegal here in Australia to have doors that won't open.
Thank you for this video. I had a driver door stuck and finally opened it today. The latch was fine. But water got to it and froze it. The inside handle broke and the outside one was weakened.
I love how all these videos show that they already are sitting inside the car I mean this video would be helpful if I could actually open the door part of your title to get inside the car..... my outside doorhandle broke, car locks and unlocks but again can't open the door, video useless like most

Replaced my titan door lock actuator with new , now it doesn't want to open , is there a chance my new actuator is bad as well ?
How do you take the door panel off when you can’t get inside? Battery is dead so it can’t be unlocked.

Okay but what if you can't get inside the vehicle to take that interior panel off
