Emmy, I have to tell you these pancakes are amazing! We had an unexpected snow day (doesn’t happen a lot here in VA) and since I work at my children’s school, we all got to enjoy the day! I made these this morning and everyone, including my husband (my children are 14, 11, 8) declared them the best pancakes ever! One of my sons even told me that it wouldn’t be worth the work to make any other pancake recipe! I did have to quadruple it to feed everyone, and it worked perfectly! Love your channel!
My 13-yr old twins will love these! I made your Amish bread yesterday and used it in the best French toast this morning. I am making bread every Saturday now. All from your videos! Blessings to you!
They look fluffy because they ARE fluffy! Breakfast for dinner is a favorite around here after a long, hard day. Sending you both a warm hug...and pats to the pets!
Greetings from Arizona! I love your channel. It's a nice combination of frugal living tips, grocery hauls and wonderful cooking videos. I always look forward to seeing them.
Thank you for the additional video! I love it when you surprise us with an extra video :). You and Paul are an inspiration for frugal living and I appreciate you both. Hope you have blessed Sunday. ☺️❤️
Thanks so much for this fluffy recipe! My daughter is having her 7th birthday sleepover with her aunties this weekend at our house and she has requested breakfast for dinner. I’ll be using your pancake recipe!
I love how you always have a taste test at the end!I don't cook many pancakes but those look good!We never go out for breakfast because we always have fresh eggs from our beautiful chickens!
Those pancakes look so good. We don't go out to eat. You're definitely right about the breakfast being expensive. Its one of our favorite kinds of meals
Hi Emmy and Paul. Hubby is our resident pancake maker - never a skill I mastered. We will definitely have to try this recipe. Really enjoyed the extra video. Thanks. Many blessings.
I usually don't go out of my way to cook breakfast. I keep it simple - bowl of cereal and a piece of fruit or make a batch of hard boiled eggs in the pressure cooker and eat them all week with avocado toast, which results in minimal prep and light dishes. Yesterday, Hubby and I had a "nice" breakfast with pancakes, poached eggs, and Turkey bacon. The whole thing cost us less than $3 for both of us. I asked my hubby if I was worth a 20% tip. 😂 We would have easily spent $25 with our food volume and tip to a wait staff. I look forward to trying this for our "nice" breakfast Saturday. Thank you for sharing!
Hey friends! Looks 👀 great!! We have a whole 5 lb. of hungry jack pancake mix to make, the outside box was damaged, got it Free! My husband makes them and they are so fluffy, no thin pancakes for us either!! I like to make my own shredder hash brown and eggs 🥚 with our pancakes 🥞 for dinner, love the syrup getting a little in the hash brown and eggs. Have blessed day! Looking forward to the next one.
Looks delish! Hubster loves it when I make pancakes before he goes to work, he says he feels spoiled. We are going to this new recipe! Thank you for sharing and have a blessed day! Best to Paul!
Looks yummy!! I generally make protein pancakes but will have to try these. Btw Emmy, I put frozen blueberries either in the batter or on top like you did and they're perfect; no thawing required. Bon appétit & blessings to you both! Happy Sunday!
Hi Emmy & Paul...just checking in to say hello....I’m currently positive for covid & i am isolated to my bedroom from everything...😔 I am not feeling well at all...but you are keeping me company....thank you👍🌹
Oh no Cindy! I am so sorry to hear this! UGH! We will pray for you to have a super speedy recovery! Thinking of you and am glad my videos are keeping you company! I'll "see" you tomorrow! Feel better!!
Love your butter print bowl. My daughter is starting to collect it. They looked very good. I use to make a big batch and freeze when my daughter / granddaughter lived in the same town. She loved pancakes and French toast with homemade syrup
Those pancakes look wonderful! I like to make extra for the freezer - they taste great when thawed out or 'toasted" in the toaster too. Thanks for all you do!
Pancakes are one of my favorite things to make. I can't wait to try this recipe and I can use some berries from our garden. Thanks for another great idea!
thanks for sharing Emmy and Paul.... I was planning to make pancake for dinner tonight with some Taylor Ham... perfect timing! Thank you... hope all is well. Good down this neck of the woods :-)
10 out of 10 in the pancake flipping contest. Our NJ ShopRite has fresh pineapples this week for sale at .99 cents - maximum 2. Happy Sunday on this cold and sunny 🌞 afternoon.
Yes! Brunch/breakfast out is such a money suck when you can make it at home. That said, I do go to this one brunch spot once or twice a year as a treat as it is sooooo good (their corned beef hash is to die for and I won’t buy a whole corned beef just for me, so it’s usually the only chance I get to eat it). Other than that treat, I’ll make brunch/breakfast at home. It’s so easy to do and costs such a minimal amount.
Those look amazing!!! I make my pancakes out of oatmeal and almond flour for health reasons, but I'm going to try adding some vinegar into the batter like you did and see if it might make them fluffier, too! As always, you cheer and inspire me! (Love the quotation you posted at the beginning of this video, too)!
I agree with you 100 percent about eating breakfast at home. On a very rare occasion, I will treat hubby and me to a Breakfast Burrito, Jr. at Burger King. I saw a menu from Rockland County, NY where we used to live and they want $2.49 for a single toasted English muffin. Not ever gonna happen in my world.
I wished I had seen this before I made my grandson and son pancakes this morning! I have everything here to make the homemade buttermilk. The ones I made must’ve been good tho. My 4 year old grandson told me “Thank You Mimi for making us pancakes this morning. They are my favorite.” That showed me right there it didn’t matter to him if they were the thin pancakes. Lol ❤️
They look delicious! I love pancakes so I will definitely make them. I am trying to watch my sugar intake so I will top them with some unsweetened applesauce.
Thank you so much! So happy you are here!! I taught computer technology in an elementary school and Paul was a Road Foreman for local government. Here is a video that explains about us in a little more detail ua-cam.com/video/lKoi7cWRREw/v-deo.html
Beautiful opening page. I learn every time I listen to you. A hint add cottage cheese to pancakes mix it disappears and adds protein for those that eat them. DAVID JENSON CHICAGO
OMG cost of a restaurant breakfast! How about the cost of a bowl of oatmeal. Unbelievable! Now, these pancakes look great. Have to say I was wondering how the blueberries would survive the flip. Ah, success. Thank you for the words of one of my favorite poets. Copied them and will start each day with Emerson's words. So glad you dropped by today.
Linda I had no idea so...I copied and pasted this from Google LOL. Hope it helps "Many people think sour milk and buttermilk are the same but they are different. Buttermilk used to be the watery stuff leftover from making butter. These days, it is made by adding a lactic acid bacteria to regular pasteurized milk. Sour milk is made by adding vinegar and lemon juice to regular milk to make it sour"
I'm not a pancake person, but those sure looked good. Especially the one with the chocolate chips! Would that work with Fat Free milk, or need whole milk? I think I heard Dixie say "I'll be the resident taster mama!" :)
@@FrugalMoneySaver I'll wait and get a quart of whole milk for them. I do want to try them even though I'm not fan of pancakes. They looked really good. I have an electric grill like that too. It's about time I used it! And Liked that I can freeze leftovers and toast them.
The pancakes looked wonderful! We have a 'big' breakfast at home every Sunday morning, which is just as good, if not better than going out for breakfast! Today was bacon, eggs and toast.

I hope is ridiculously expensive. Two people breakfast can cost $30 or more plus tip. You are correct.
It is ridiculous!

Thanks Debbie!
Hi☺
Hello!
Oh my, they look delicious. I’m still dieting, but I think I could eat one if I leave room in my daily calories.
LOL. Sorry for tempting you Jeanne!
