love the safari windows :) did cringe at the silicone on the first one as having done 5 conversions I felt the pain of the cleaning needed post window fit. Looks sick though
Loving the build . Do you mind me asking what height you are and if you’ll be able to stand in the crafter ? I understand the floor is raised 100mm for the 4 motion ?
Hi man, starting my window fitting this week end on the crafter.. How did you cut the anti-vibration reinforcements on the sides before installing the windows? I'm afraid of going too far and cutting the bodywork...
Don’t know if any one has asked. But did you use the same mastic on your maxxfan as they use on the windows ? Just asking because I found out the hard way it don’t stick to the plastic.
Can’t remember the name of the stuff but it’s what comes with your windows. I had some left so used it on the fans. Week or so later had a leak and I found that it had sticked to the van fine but the plastic of the fan it just rolls off. Had to re do them.

Love the confidence you have now straight in with the saw beautiful job
Thanks Chris. Yer it’s funny how nervous we were cutting holes in the van. Now it’s just crack on.
You’ve missed off the cost of the many toilet rolls used in the clean up 😂😂😂 loving the vids
Additional £40😂
Great job Matt and Jenny - enjoying every update. Sharing your pain with waiting for safari windows - on a slow boat from Turkey!
Thanks Kevin. 🙏🙏
Yer they are hard to get at the moment.
Looks nice. Where did you get these from?
Jackson leisure 👍

Thanks Jo. It’s hard to know how much to put on as the frame itself is hollow but I would rather more and it squeeze out a little (a lot) 😂.
@@abucklife agreed better to be safer than sorry :) tempted to get the same windows for my sprinter build :) they look ace
Thanks Jo. I rate them haven’t long term tested them yet but they are the look we wanted. And insulated.

Thanks so much. I’m 182cm I could without the floor and still can now but do skim my head.
@@abucklife super. I’m same height. Is that with the floor in and the ceiling finished ? What thickeners did you use for both?
@@alvinandchipmunkify floor in but ceiling not finished. I’m going to use 3mm ply and suede line it.
25mm insulation board and 12mm ply.
Hi man,
starting my window fitting this week end on the crafter..
How did you cut the anti-vibration reinforcements on the sides before installing the windows? I'm afraid of going too far and cutting the bodywork...
Very carefully with a piece of thin ply behind and a fine cutting disc on the angle grinder.
Good luck. Let me know how you go.
@@abucklife Damn that scares me, I would let you know !
I couldn’t think of another way to do it with the tools I have. It’s pretty easy though.
@@abucklife a Friend of mine just told me to buy a hand nibbler, apparently it makes very clean cuts. i will try that first
And let's see them open from the inside please!
Windows open. I will post a picture on my community section tomorrow for you 👍

Errrr yes😂. I believe sika 522 is good for campervan windows we also used 207 primer so 🤞
Thanks for the heads up. What happened to yours or do I not want to know 😂

With the primer I think it solves this problem.
