    Another informative and well put together vid. I just have one problem with it!!! I’ve now caught up with all the videos so you need to crack on and get some more up 😂. Mind you I think I will be rewatching them particularly the electrics. Keep up the good work both of you. Ginny, you take it easy. Sending you best wishes and hopes for an easy straightforward labour

      Sorry! Im just finishing the next episode off as we speak. I really want to get up to two per week but also want the quality to stay the same if not get better. I will see what we can do. I will also start uploading build shorts daily when I’ve been working on the van. Thanks for your support 🤜🤛

    I’ve really enjoyed following your installation.. My daughter’s bringing her Sprinter over at Xmas for me to do a similar, though smaller build and I’m hoping to have a fully loaded cabinet ready to put in when she arrives, if I can guestimate the measurements 😩. So your videos have been super helpful. Good luck to you both with the new arrival.

      Thank you. Your a good dad. I don’t know about the sprinter but the crafter van electrical cupboard needed scribing to the walls as they are slightly curved towards the back of the van. Good luck with your daughters build.

    Hi there. As to mistakes, there is one. You should have put the batteries on the lowest shelf. I have about the same Victron system as you. I was hit in an accident and the batteries, due to their weight, moved and destroyed the positioning aluminium bracket holding them steady. This is to say that the batteries should be strapped on as tight as possible and placed as low as possible, to avoid them flying around in an accident or on 4x4 terrain. Good luck and regards from Switzerland, Silvano

    • @abucklife

      Hi thank you. Yes I was aware of the need to get them on the floor but I just did not have room there with the wheel arch. I am going to add another brace to keep them down though that’s a great idea.

  • @exploresandtosummit

    looking great. question. why have put a ignition live on, I thought the Victron dc-dc auto detects, I haven't got one on mine and its been working fine

    • @abucklife
      @abucklife  2 місяці тому +1

      Apparently with the crafter the smart alternator can interfere with this and it doesn’t always detect and you can be left with a flat battery. Just a precaution.

    • @abucklife
      @abucklife  2 місяці тому

      From what I’ve been told.

    • @exploresandtosummit
      @exploresandtosummit 2 місяці тому

      @@abucklife Thanks Matt, I wasn't aware of that. I haven't had any flat battery problems but I'll keep an eye on it. Maybe there's a setting on the Cerbo to detect this and give an alarm, are you going to add water tank level indicators to the Cerbo screen, may also be worth adding a temp sensor in the cupboard to set off an alarm if it gets too hot in there. That's what I'm adding.

    • @abucklife
      @abucklife  2 місяці тому

      I think it’s a bit hit and miss. Depends on the alternator you have. But I’m not 💯 on the details of it. Good idea. Level sensors are on the Bobil hot water screen. The temp sensor is a great shout.

    Hi Matt, very informative and real! ..I have a very similar set up, and I just wondered which port did you connect the ignition live cable to on the Orion? I assume you have it all charging and operating correctly pal?

      @@JimmiCox hi mate. Thanks. Yep all up and running and configured this week including my multiplus. Currently stood in here with the heating on charging my phone. Happy days. I ran it into the h port as per guidance from my system designer.

      @ thanks Matt. I’ve just ordered the interface ve bus to usb dongle to allow me to set up my multiplus, I’m then hoping that will get it all up and running correctly. Glad you’ve got the heater/ boiler running, good timing!

      Thanks pal. I’ve got a pretty basic setup to be fair. I mainly film on my GoPro 8 in 4k. I like it because I always knock it over and drop it and know it won’t break. I have also got a Sony zv e10 for more static shots. I use a ride mic and Dji wireless mics and then I edit in power director. I’m going to treat myself to a new go pro because mine is nakered soon. It will be the first thing I buy with YT money so pretty proud and will mean a lot. Do you make video?

    Hi, great build. Quick question as I’m in a similar position. Did you precharge the inverter as it’s 3Kw?
    Also how many of the 240v sockets did you wire in to 1 MCB?

    • @abucklife
      @abucklife  2 місяці тому +1

      Thanks buddy. No I spoke to my system designer that said that with my system it was not necessary. I have 4 on one radial, 3 on another radial and then my boiler and job on the last. I am going to do a video on the 230v stuff.
