I have one of those and have only played with it a little. The dpad and face buttons are all microswitches, so not my favorite. The S9 has much better joysticks and ergonomics, in my opinion.

Problem with the G8 was it has a sharp ass protruding D-Pad, plus the two dumb buttons right underneath the D-Pad causes accidental input when ever you're playing some crazy fighting games. Can't even disabled them.
Hi, is there any benefit of connecting with usb-port vs connecting via bluetooth? Why would they go on that route? Is there any noticeable lag with bluetooth?
I use a bsp d8 presently and with modern Bluetooth no you don't really notice any latency. I personally want a usb c and a controller capable of pass through charging and to stay on the tablet always. Presently the d8 and the tablet needs charging separately. It's not a major issue just a preference.
Ive tried both and yes the lag is noticeable. FPS games, especially when streaming are unplayable. With the usb c connection it feels much better. Plus being able to charge it without taking it out is very nice.
@@STR82DVD the software already looks much better than the trash gamesir software. And the extended USB c for thicker cases is a great also. So far just seems like it does E evrything better than the g8. Let's hope it doesn't disappoint when it's released.
@@wilazn Well, hopefully Abxylute won't abandon this product like they did the Absolute One. We've not seen an update or fix for anything on the Abxylute One now since last bloody January.
Do you think it's worth getting this controller if you already have something like the GameSir G8 Galaleo? I mostly play Android games and some high-end emulation. I own the G8 but do not like the GameSir software. I know I don't have to use it but you can't use some features or update controller firmware without it.
I think the software here is better, if still in need of a bit of polish (they are working on it!). I think overall it's more comfortable than the G8, but whether you want to spend money on an incremental upgrade is a harder ask that only you can answer.
@@retrohandhelds they sent the wrong one lol so still waiting :) I did really like the phone edition though so kept it got a partial refund and sold my razr kishi V2. The tablet edition is out for delivery today so hopefully the right one this time.
What do you think about the S9? Do you already own a telescoping controller - and if so would this be a worthy upgrade for you?
Thinking about getting this since the g8 doesnt work well with the y700, and the gamesir app isnt compatible.
really... well, i just ordered the y700 gen2 the past day. i'm curious what controllers these users use? how about you?
What's the actual weight of the controller? I'd like to know compared to the G8.
Thanks!!
The EasySMX15 was the controller I was going to get originally but after seeing a couple reviews on the Abxylute I might just get this one instead

@@retrohandhelds I don't personally mind microswitches but I can definitely see why you would prefer the S9
Yeah, I don't hate them, they feel fine. The EasySMX controller overall just feels cheaper and has much worse feeling joysticks.
The bluetooth will be useful when streaming with moonlight so you can pair directly with the pc.
You will need to provide power to the controller though so you will be wired in a way still. It doesn’t have its own battery.
Hello Axylute S9 or G8 GAMESIR, which one is less noisy?
I wish you tested the other dpads for contra and for fighting games like Street Fighter 2 or Capcom vs SNK 2.
Admittedly I am not a fighting game guy. I have put some time in on the dish style dpad and I can say it is better than the cross style.
Your voice could lull the biggest giant to seek meditation. Great work, DerekBass

The S9 has a very similar cross-style DPAD, but they include the two interchangeable dish style so those might be more comfortable to you.
Does the usb plug retract if you only want bluetooth and your device doesn't have a usb c port?
No, and the controller doesn’t have its own battery, so you wouldn’t be able to use it in the way you are thinking.

To be the king it has to be good enough to dethrone the G8 and the G8 Plus. That's a bold statement. With it's feature set though, it just might be.

@@STR82DVD shouldnt be an issue they still have a month to go and already exceeded required funding by 40k
its compatibile with tab s9 ultra display 14 inch ?
It will not stretch that far, no. Maximum is about a 9” tablet.

Just what I've been looking for a usb c capable of an 8 inch tablet to replace my bsp d8 but not at the £150 price point of a kishi ultra.
I think you’ll be happy with it. I have also used the BSP controllers and this is much nicer.

That dpad issue needs to be fixed. Bluetooth would have been great too
It has bluetooth though
How about android games
