So, is this what you would have imagined a house in Mexico to look like? How did our expenses compare to your expectations?

Mexico offers more than low prices. Like a fish the life has flavor but it also has bones. Try to go to the bank on Friday afternoon when everybody needs cash. Try to pay your electric or water bills at the end of the month. Traffic tickets are negotiable. Labor is cheap. My opinion, in all of Latin America, Mexico is the best country to live.

Honestly, we always book an Airbnb first. Just to get a feeling for the city and the areas you'll most want to live in. Then, I would suggest checking an expat group on Facebook and asking this question. It seems that each city has their own best ways to find places to rent

You think that's cheap? I pay 2200 pesos a month for a decent, two bedroom house in a good neighborhood here in Pachuca. Only wealthy families can afford to live in a residencia like this video, they are a status symbol. Oh and sorry Serg and Tana, nothing personal but... What perfect weather? Querétaro is a freaking oven! I would die if I had to live there, no idea how you can put up with it.
