Being a dgd fan for so long, it makes me incredibly happy to see all of their vocalists sharing a stage. It's a beautiful thing and this song hasn't sounded nearly this amazing since it's original release.

Even though Jon Mess screams for like 10 seconds in this song it gives me chills everytime. Luckily, he's one of those vocalist that has gotten better over time and thank God for that because almost everything they have put out is pure gold not matter who is singing.
Seriously though. Him, swan and the rest of the ensemble hold it together extremely well, that you or myself can be on vocals and people would hear the sound and be like “yeah, that’s dance gavin dance.”

Chance Simmons they are the principle members, Mingus and swan have never left and Jon only took a single album off in 2009. I see tilian as a principle member now to, he’s held the band down since 2013 and they’ve had little change besides rhythm guitarist since then. Jon leaving for an album did lead to some cool stuff for the band, will swan and Kurt Travis actually both took switching unclean vocal roles

Jonny and Kurt's voices totally overpowers Tilian's when they all sing at the same time. Idk if his mic's volume was lower or just Jonny and Kurt's powerful voices.
My guess is Tilians voice is a little too high compared to Kurt and Jonny which is why it was lowered and he just let them take over most of the song.
It looks like Jonny and Kurt are eating their mic and Tilian is keeping it at a distance
Its pretty logic to assume Tilian is not taking the spotlight and letting the other vocalist do it since its a special performance that doesn't happen everyday.

100%. That’s the beauty of DGD. The core group stuck together and adapted to every singer rather than letting the singer be the be all end all. I love all three of the vocalists. It’s apples to oranges to bananas...can’t compare!

In 2020 this is still such an amazing performance. Even through all the controversy, and just how much in general of a shit bag Johnny Craig is, I still separate his amazing vocals from the person. As a vocalist alone, I love him. Kurt Travis. What is there to say? Other than his vocals I have always, always, ALWAYS enjoyed. His voice is so beautiful. Tilian Pearson. Such a unique voice. Very powerful, yet sensual at the same time. I think DGD grew overall once they brought him on board, and I have said it many times before, and I'll say it again, objectively speaking, I sincerely don't think DGD has put out a "bad" song since he joined. I'm not saying this as a fan boy of Tilian at all either. I enjoy every era of DGD (maybe save for Royal Ocean in all honestly....just a messy album of a band trying to figure themselves out...just not my thing). Anyways, as I look through the entirety of DGD's discography, I can point out to you the bangers from both the Craig, and Travis eras, and also the songs that might not be top tier DGD, but one's that definitely are good. But then I can also point out the ones that are meh at most, and just flat out not that great of a song at least. Once Tilian joined....There might be a FEW songs that are not top tier, but they definitely aren't on that "meh to not that great" scale. I love all of their vocals. I love DGD. They have been my favorite band since 8th fucking grade! I grew up on this band. My dream to this day is to be able to see them live. I was fortunate enough to see the Blue Swan tour back in 2014 when Icarus the Owl, Stolas, and Hail the Sun were touring together in Seattle....and what a fucking show that was. Those three bands were also in my top 5 favorites at the time....so I'm insanely happy that I got to see them live before Stolas broke up....Hail the Sun kind of....dived I guess....and Icarus was at their peak. All these years later I'm super stoked that I still have a chance to see DGD live in their peak...which I feel their peak has been going on since Instant Gratification, and there is no signs of slowing down with their latest album Afterburner. This is sort of a little love letter I guess. To all my fellow DGD fans out there, keep on rocking, and love you all!
