Hopefully in a year or 2 I can do “0 reasons why Fable 4 sucks & 1000 reasons why it’s the greatest game of all time”… no pressure playground games :)
I can already see myself rewatching this video in a year with no fable in sight tbh lol. But what matters is that eventually it will come out, the more time to ripe the better
I think wanting it to be as good or better than fable tlc is an obtainable goal. Hope they do it
Well alittle pressure considering we've been waiting forever
Nope
Fable 3 was my first fable game and I loved it but I felt so weird when I then got fable 2 which legit felt like it was a sequel to fable 3 with how many more features it had and just how much bigger the game felt altogether
My first was fable 2, and I felt the same about fable 1/tlc
@@MisterDaviso452I started with fable 1 and can happily say that out of all the 3. 2 is not only the biggest and has the most to offer. It also was all around better by reviews, Reddit posts, fan pages, just do probability. Fable 2 by proof and facts is the best game of the 3. Fable 2 is bigger than 1 including its dlc’s 1 was the smallest game of the 3 why would you even say that…
I've said this for years and I'll say it again. Fable was made backwards. The 3rd is how a first game would typically be, the second is in the middle, and the first is what the 3rd should have been. They just slowly took things away and just got worse.
Extremely easy game, i remember I got an achievement that I had completed the whole game without dying, and it wasn’t even intentional
I actually loved the gnomes
They had funny personalities and their insults were funny
Two things I hope the new FABLE game does is allow us to engage in the main quest when and only when we want to. Let us enjoy the world at our own pace, and get better at jobs by doing the jobs. No more "road to rule" type follies.
I will add a third. I hope this time our character has a proper (and maybe even longer/more elaborate) childhood. My one colossal issue with Fable III was that the section of the story that involved me being the King of Albion was nowhere near immersive or long enough. You literally get to make roughly about four or five decisions, and then it's: "Look out everybody! Here comes the Crawler (great voice acting by the way) and his merry band of brain-dead idiots!"
Agreed. The voice acting of the Crawler and the celebrity voice acting was fantastic. I hated being pushed to play the main quest when I'm trying to freaking do other quests or save a ton ass money to finance my kingdom, and forcing me to put the rent astronomically high to pay for everything.
I guess the long route to that would be to take whatever low-level in-game job you want(Bard, Blacksmith, Pie-Maker) and keep doing that until you get however much gold you want to get. The down-side of that is just having to imagine Sir Walter Beck standing there hemming and hawing and complaining about people you need to see.
“i hate how the games too silly”
“i love the silly humour”
you know what would of been good? being able to marry the quest npcs other than your bf/gf you had at the start
If there was more than 10 on the love part, i would mention this too.
11. I loved Sam and Max side side missions, if you're similar with these two, you realize that they returned in fable 3, but as ghosts this time.
12. I loved the Traitor's keep dlc story, i really enjoyed that dlc, seriously i loved the boss fights there, awesome one.
13. I loved the relationship quests, building relations with someone, is interesting to be honest.
14. I loved Sir Walter Beck, who wouldn love this dude? He's more like a father to the hero, best part of fable 3.
15. I loved the finishers, that feature was really cool if you think about it, the hammer and rifle one were my favorite. And i want that to return, in the new Fable.
Well That's it.
Fable 1 had the shortest story with the shortest missions and that’s including the dlcs too
One of my favorite games of all time it didn't deserve the hate it got
Finally someone who gets it
It really does deserve the hate. Like this video said for every good feature there are 4 that were way worse then the previous games.
I loved the implementation of touch
Hated that it made me touch everyone you didn't want to touch and/or in a sexual way
and REALLY hated that when you hold someone's hand while waking or running, your hands just float, holding the pocket of air between your hands.
fable 3 really made me sad😂i still played the shit out of it but damn they could've done way more.
I tried so hard to save Jammy and the jobs were interesting and there was also some input lag for the jobs which was so frustrating.
I completely understand the hate it gets, but as someone who’s first game ever literally was fable 1 and I played through fable 2 several times and enjoyed it, I feel like I have some semblance of a valid opinion. Fable three is great for one main reason, the characters. Walter fucking nails it as the hero’s best friend, as well as Ben Finn and even Logan, who was a great villain because he had a reason to that wasn’t truly explained until the end with reveals(though hinted at with the vision you have from Theresa).
Great video homie, fable 3 ain't perfect but I love it non the less 😌
Theresa "your brother is totally evil just because" then its "lol JK ,he was actually desperately trying to prepare"
I'm of the strong opinion that there was never anything wrong with the industrial setting and I hope the reboot brings it back, the problem was that there was no option to use a bow or crossbow if you wanted. I think the industrial era would be a great way to illustrate non-magic users trying to keep up with heroes and all the fantastical creatures, 2 and 3 just introduced industry and guns for the sake of the aesthetic instead of using them for world building. The great thing about magic is that it can be used to justify medieval era equipment and industrial technology coexisting (which means more potential weapons and character builds), I really hope the reboot doesn't revert to generic fantasy for the sake of generic fantasy...
having played this game 100s of times since childhood, my last playthrough i felt that since i had the money to save everyone i had decisions as ruler that just werent there. i was like "wait what"
Fable III was the first Fable game i ever played, and I always loved it. I avoided playing II and I because they felt too complicated for me at the time. Fable III was my favourite game ever, and I was so confused whenever anyone said it sucked.
I recently started playing Fable II and only then did I realise how much III dissapointed me and everyone else in comparison to the other two.
I am so glad im playing the games in reverse order because it just keeps getting better and better-
Nearly half the game I didn't understand that sanctuary was the menu.
I f**king love this game.
there are body transformations but they are more subtle
Yes. It was based on your usage of combat abilities instead of what you upgraded which was different and I actually kinda liked.
I feel this game is over hated as a person who loves all 3 it just doesn't feel justified
the pvt jammy comment earned the like lmao. ive legit gotten the slow mo of him dying to absolutely nothing so many times
if fable 2 looked like fable 3 and fable 3 played like 2 oh boy x box it would be something else
Awesome video!
there are body transformations, you just only get them by using certain weapons and theres so way to halt it or anything, like what if i wanna play female but not tower over everyone
I do miss the sub targeting from number 2.
Fable 3 is my favorite.
in fable two i always go full pure and evil because i loved the look
I played fable 2 first back then and the third one not really that great for me. At least my friend starting to love rpg after I let him has a playthrough. First he saw me playing ff15 then he tried to imitate my playstyle of abusing teleport then he got dizzy and didn't dodge the enemy in time. Then he asked me if I have other rpg that easier, then I let him play this one. Oh boy the joy in his eye when he saw the fire and electro combination anywhere, anytime, everywhere and everytime all through the game. Its brings me joy to see him chuckle at every cutscene when his character are stark naked.
I love the video 🖤
I hoping to God For anything Fable related this year. They have to at least hadve a game play trailer if it's potentially next year
Fable 2 was very sad ending my dog died I love that dog
What an awesome video. Absolutely felt the pain in many of the points. The menu really has earned it's spot as the first thing to hate lol
Wish you would've mentioned the opening as a thing to love, that was like the main thing that got me hooked on Fable. It really set a great dark tone with the revolution metaphors. I haven't finished the game yet but I wish they would've had more of the tone the opening where you'd feel more like a rebellious revolutionist... especially since you become the king?
Hmm that's a good point. Great start but the the journey to overtake the throne felt quite lacklustre. Thanks for watching.
@@RockyPunk Ye, it's one of the things I'm excited for the most with the new Fable. I hope they can create a consistent story that keeps the overarching tone until the end (or whenever it's supposed to be resolved). But maybe that's shooting a bit high. Just want them to finally deliver the game sooner or later. Or they could upload some teaser trailers talking about it like Starfield does... I'll take anything! 😩🤞
i hated the magic gloves and potions just let me get spells i earn
This kind of game review should be part of beta testing and should be taken into consideration by the dev teams
I still love fable 3 but i can't help but to agree
I hated the design of the guild seal
It IS an action adventure as are the others in the series... u dont role play as ur own charecter
wow I loved fable 3
No.. the sanctuary was never a good idea.
I think it's hilarious that you hate the Road to Rule so much that it got two entries here.
Not defending it by the way, it was an objectively terrible decision.
18:37 where’s that?
Nailed #22.
Never played it. Remember the hate back in the day. Still plan to play it. Have a like. I will come back after I beat it
I liked the main story and the landlord feature is satisfying. It's worth a play though, and I still play it from time to time.
i was about to dislike until i saw it was fable 3
the game should have presented the option to be on the side of the darkness, the crawler, the narrative of being good or bad doesnt fit if almost everything is the same, like the only huge difference is if you dont have money youll have no npc. plus the purity meter should not have been invisible. like if youre pure but evil youll look undead, but low purity makes you look demonic
They phoned it in the last one, forced by impossibly vague and changing direction by PM and studio deadlines they did what they could, which wasn't much...
Fable 3 Is a good game by itself just not a good "Fable game"
I love it, it's a guilty pleasure of mine. =) ♥️
you played as king, but to be a good king you must sell pies. yeah this game is clearly no rpg.
Man everything u said was right
Fable 1 was the best though
I consider this game the biggest disappointment of my life. Lionhead basically bastardized everything that made the original games special.
Seems like you hate fable 2 too
I could never. I even made a video of 20 things I love and 5 things I hate about fable 2. Amazing game.
@@RockyPunk I said that because you mention things that you hate on this game that are even more present on Fable 2 than 3
