Have to say, although they did acknowledge Jack as her interpreter, which she always plays off very well, they overall were very respectful of her and focusing on her throughout the show. Good questions, too, I actually enjoyed her getting some different and interesting questions.
It is very strange that I never heard of Marlee Matlin at all. Then I started watching Dancing With the stars and I became amazed with Nyle Dimarco's ability to communicate complex ideas in sign language. At that moment I realized how prejudiced I was just from ignorance. I had only seen a few deaf people sign and they were teens and I did not see anything fascinating but rather aggressive in their gestures and sounds. After Nyle won DWTS I found out he had also won American Next Top Model. I then looked up what else he had done and switched at birth was listed so I started watching SAB on Netflix and now I am in love with several deaf characters and the actors behind them! My favorite by far is Matlin! Then Sean Berdy who I find amazingly expressive. They both transcend any cultural barriers and teach us what it is to be a deeper human being. Then of course I like the rest of the Deaf people on the show and the show itself. I binge watch! Especially when Matlin is on that specific episode. OMG she should have been on every episode! She made me tear up, laugh and feel what she was portraying to feel. I am a hearing guy so believe me it takes pure unadulterated talent to make me feel something so strongly across hearing/Deaf cultures. I really hope we can see more of Matlin in the years to come. I want her to make ten million dollars per year! I am now going back and finding everything ever done by Matlin and Berdy to binge watch!
Lex Zender I love her too I actually didn't know anything about her until I started watching Switched at Birth and ever since then I'm in love with her I just ordered one of her books on Amazon the book is called I'll scream later I still haven't received it but I can't wait till it gets here because I can't wait to put my hands on it she's an amazing actress and an amazing human being I hope to meet her one day
watched switched at birth from start to finish - you will pick up a LOT of ASL and have fun doing it - even some of the grammar will start to stick :) it might not be perfect but at least you will have access to a good 100 signs or so.
I saw worry Marleen and he sign language talk her high school ? I know look which he's sign language story her date prom ? I think wow ! Milo Ventimiglia was teen young and myself teen young relationship date story? 😚
Amazing to watch the way Marlee and Jack work together. Beautiful. And the Winkler story from 6th minute - priceless!

at 21years old as an actor/actress you don't beat out the type of powerhouse actresses that marlee had done....
She worked with William Hurt back in the day, sadly he died of cancer in 2022!
Jack, primo que bien interpretas, o traduces.
Te felicito. Un orgullo para la familia .
I'd love to see Marlee Matlin and Henry Winkler do something together.
