That flower is a dahlia. One of my favorite flowers. They do good in large pots and even better in the ground. But most do get fairly tall but very prolific bloomers.
Stephanie, you are one in a million. Your knowledge and willingness to help everyone shows what a huge heart you have. You make the world a better place 🐦🐥🐸🌳🌼🐝🌱🪴
I love it when you ladies get together. Thankyou for helping Jami think about her garden for different things. Shes going to have a beautiful garden with your help or ideas. You know so much, she will be off to a great start this year. Have a great day with Jami.
My dad and grandpa always drew up plans for the garden every year. Seed books would arrive and the following Saturday we'd clear the dining room table, tape sheets of paper together and begin the planning. I'd always get so excited because even as a real little kid I got my own section to plant and take care of. Gardening was my time to hang out with my dad, and my Grandpa. Its time that was absolutely priceless, and I learned so much. My Grandpa was born in 1890, so I got to learn a lot about sustainability from him.
Thanks for helping Jami garden ❤ Im so glad she has you...good luck to both of you this growing season...Im a SC master gardener..welcome to the club...
Jami you could make tunnels and grow green beans, squash, zucchini, any veggie that spread out even small pumpkins can be grown vertically ! And plant lavender and marigolds all around in your garden to help with insect pests ? You can skis plant tomatoes next to your tunnels and just secure them yo the wire for support ! Potatoes and peanuts need to be planted in hills/ mounds and as they grow you add more soil up around the plant and potatoes snd peanuts grow on the roots so you take the whole plant up to harvest them ! You can also plant sweet potatoes on your tunnels but will need to secure the plant as it climbs ! Good luck with your garden ! God bless ❤️🙏🙋🏻🙏🙏
Dahlia that's the plant. it's a corb that in cold temps has to be stored during winter. I love you and Steph collaborating on projects. Especially the new tiered garden. Ya'll are getting it done in your minds. Now transplanting from the mind to the yard. Gardeners envision then plant.❤
Loofah, gourds, cucumbers, trailing beans and sugar peas are all good choices for a trellis. Tomatoes can also be trellised. Check into companion planting. Climbing beans are fun to grow among corn and sunflowers.
For Jamie and Steph. If you ever watched, Chip and Joanna Gains, at their farm, they made a run for their chickens that went around the perimeter of their garden for pest control. So it is a limited, safe from above predators, free range pen that attached to the coop.
Boy, I feel overwhelmed just looking at the bare garden and listening to the ideas. I’m looking forward to watching your plans grow into fruition. Happy planting.
I love it when you ladies get together!! And Jami so happy & confident, too!! ❤ I was thinking that you wanted to keep the goats & birds out of garden too re: cattle panels!
I love that you have each other to bounce off ideas Those Pearl lights are the next level. I would consider doing one tier in a patch garden vs rows as things like leaf lettuce, carrots, radishes celery etcetera don’t need as much space. Just a thought. 🧡y’all Can’t wait to see the finished product
Hi Stephanie so pleased sweet Elora is feeling better and getting over her walking pneumonia. So hard seeing our children sick. Glad your back at it and able to make videos again missed you both. Nice to see you and Jami together swapping and helping each other. But sharing your wealth of knowledge with her is awesome and very kind to. Looked like you had so much fun together catching up and sharing ideas to. Thank you so much for bringing us along it was awesome. Have a great day take care and God bless 🙏💕🌱
Steph, thats exciting news! Your knowledge is amazing and definitely will be now. I love your channel ❤. It was nice seeing Jami and you discussing Jami’s visuals of her garden and her future garden plans. ❤❤❤ Sheila T
Great video staff I agree you have so much knowledge on gardening and you and Steph and Bree all have so much fun when you go together. Love your videos.
Side note: We were getting ready to go for a Motorcycle ride, Dave had to go back inside. He came outside looking for Me. He found me bent over in the garden weeding with my boots and helmet on! Called Me crazy garden lady! Good Times!
Good Monday morning Stephanie and Jami. Both you ladies are awesome together. Jami chose the best person to consult anything gardenish. Amazing to listen to and the future ideas. Have an awesome day 😊❤❤
Steph morning u & Jamie r true Gardeners both your Greenhouses r awesome u share your knowledge of gardening together helps each other plant the right things 🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷👍👍👍👍
Looks amazing Jami! I had a similar set up and really recommend making a walkway through the middle of the beds, from level to level. Once everything starts growing, if you don’t have a path, it becomes very hard to get from level to level. Can’t wait to see everything growing.
Congratulations Stephanie on the Master Gardener plans. I truly believe that you will be great at being one. You're a blessing to Jami with your advice on her garden. Sounds like a plan for everyone.
Jami, your garden is going to be absolutely beautiful! Stephanie is a wonderful source of gardening information. Between him and Jason from Cog Hill, you are in very good hands. You have some very ambitious plans, but it is going to be amazing!
My grandmother had grape vines. She made a square and put a trellis up top. We could walk under the vines. The grapes would hang down from the trellis. Under the vines was full shade to partial shade. She planted Lily of the Valley plants below the vines. It smelled wonderful!. We would play in the shade and grandma would sit in her chair and relax or what ever. I have wonderful memories of the grapes over my head, and the Lily of the Valley plants and their beautiful fragrance. Once planted they just grow back each year and multiply. Stephanie you never cease to amaze me. Always willing to help with ideas and everything else. Each one of you ladies bring wonderful ideas and fun. 🙂🦋
You and Jami's dynamic is so mellow and pleasing. At 5:40 I saw who i thought was Stella in the pasture you spanned away for a second while Jami answered a question and when you showed the same spot she was gone. I thought maybe you edited there, but the break between question and answer didn't seem to be lagged. Just an observation. Have a good day!
You and Jami "FIT" together so well. And also Bri, when you guys get together I'm kinda jealous. Would love to meet you guys someday at maybe a "meet and greet"! I LOVE the idea of a bistro table in the garden, so FUN! I can't wait to follow along and watch the "GARDEN GROW"!! Thanks for taking us all along with you Steph, and congrats on the Master gardening challenge. You will do great. 🥰
🌻💗🌻 It’s always great to watch the “girls from Morrow Hill” 🌻💗🌻 You both have great ideas, I’m kinda jealous 🤷🏼♀️. I’m more of the “agent orange “ gardener. Between the two of you I will be happy to just “visit” your gardens. 💐 Happy Gardening 💐
Jami another suggestion, Google growers solution, and look for sod stakes traffic pins, you need long so the wind don't blow it away, don't use mulch, you will get weeds
Hi Steph I enjoyed listening to you and Jami chatting about her garden plans and, bouncing ideas off each other. I think you will both grow amazing gardens this year. 🌼💜🌻🌺💜🌷
You two are the best So knowledgeable in gardening. But most of all you are fun to watch and you make me laugh. U need to do a channel of just the two of you.
CONGRATULATIONS Stephanie on going for Master Gardener. Ladies look at Jason at Cog Hill how his fruit tree and grapevine and raspberry orchard are. It is truly amazing.
The flowers look like dahlias. They have cormbs like a bulb die down n come back. Left and separate. After they die back all the green growth cut back.
I would put single pavers down the middle (top to bottom, not side to side). That way you can keep from walking on your garden dirt and packing it down too much.
Congrats on working towards becoming a Master Gardener, Steph. You already have a huge head start on everyone else. Your garden last year was incredible!
You’re going to love the Master Gardener classes!! It’s exciting that garden prep and planting is here already, at least in Texas. Love seeing the brainstorming between you and Jami.
I enjoy yours and Jami's friendship....Nice that ya'll are there for each other....Steph, you know so much about gardening and other things....Girrrrl, you are a jack of all trades....
Jami, you have to start taking detailed written notes. Sun, water, temperature, height, spread, temporary food source, long term food storage You can make a diorama of your space, artsy crafty or on the computer. Gardening is a marathon and we want to sprint! Do a Pintrest board on your ideas and dreams and wish list. I love it all, I'll keep watching 🐤🐣🐔🌾🌻🌼🌱🐝🐞🕸🐜🐛
Good morning ladies lovely seeing you help Jami with her visions for her dream garden ❤❤. It'll be gorgeous! Jami in my veg garden and flower garden I put bark ontop of the weed fleece, it also helps keep it in place. (I'm in Scotland) Excited to be following your garden journey together. Congratulations Steph 🎊👏🎊
This was very informative and the excitement was real not fake. I love gardening even though get frustrated when plants that are great one yr but then next yr not so much. Best of luck to both you ladies the idea of a garden club is great. Happy Gardening.
STEPH also tell Jami. Cut a hole in the center of a can just big enough to insert a stick so it will get stuck in it, empty contents of the can, insert the stick. Heat the bottom of the can with the torch, then touch the plastic garden mat with the can. The heated can will melt a hole in the mat. This makes it so you don't have to keep bending over trying to melt it and stomp a fire out as there is no actual fire, just a hot can. ❤
Stephanie you and Jaimie are beautiful together on film. I think you have a future together as Garden Video Hosts!!! I am not kidding!!! The Camera loves you two! Texas is a giant place and I am sure a Gardening show with you two and Buddy would be wildly popular.. Great information shared with a large fan bade sponsors would approach you with product testing and samples. You two are onto something big. It is so good to see you together.
Congratulations on studying for Master Gardener classes. I am a Master Gardener and learned a lot in my studies. Have fun and keep planting!!!
That flower is a dahlia. One of my favorite flowers. They do good in large pots and even better in the ground. But most do get fairly tall but very prolific bloomers.
And the Dallas have many varieties

the flowers look like a type of dark-leaved dahlia
I love it when Stephanie and Jami get together and plan a garden. You two rock at everything you do. Thanks for taking us along.
Me too❤
Love that you left the garden posts tall...you can drape cold weather tarps or shade cloth over the entire area easily that way.😊
Thanks for helping Jami garden ❤ Im so glad she has you...good luck to both of you this growing season...Im a SC master gardener..welcome to the club...

It looks like a Dahlia Jami and will come back each year
Don't forget ladybugs. You can order them on line
Thanks for helping Jami. You have such a wealth of knowledge and are always willing to share with others.
Jami another suggestion, Google growers solution, and look for sod stakes traffic pins, you need long so the wind don't blow it away, don't use mulch, you will get weeds
The staples need to be 6 in. or longer. The 4 in staples will no hold down the weed barrier especially when there is a strong wind.❤
Hi Steph I enjoyed listening to you and Jami chatting about her garden plans and, bouncing ideas off each other. I think you will both grow amazing gardens this year. 🌼💜🌻🌺💜🌷
I forgot to tell you, put the staples close together. This is important.❤
So many options, so little time!! So much work and ideas! You GO GIRLS!
So good to see it’s got fencing 💜🇦🇺💜🇦🇺💜

Stephanie, I'm fairly certain the flower in question is a dahlia. Very pretty 😊
Stephanie your ability to share what you know is ONE of your great traits.
Those were some fine looking tomatoes 🍅 ❤😂
Those flowers are Dahlias. Mystic, Star Wars etc are the names. Walmart sells them fir about $10
