"Me and My Friends" is the only Red Hot Chili Peppers song that was played EVERY tour since November 1986. Hillel Slovak, DeWayne McKnight, John Frusciante, Arik Marshall, Dave Navarro, Josh Klinghoffer, Jack Irons, Chad Smith - all of them played this song. It was never released as a single & it never had a music video but this is probably the most popular Hillel Slovak-era band's song so it completely deserved a music video.
I decided to edit The Uplift Mofo tour footage and make a video that captured the spirit of this lineup & song. This is a tribute to the original Red Hot Chili Peppers. Enjoy!

@@Smxx777 It was kickass, took a friend there with me ( J. Marshall ,the name drop lol). We had a blast! Was never a pirate of the tapes or pics. It was a Rock our with your cock out kind of show! Can't really remember the song line up but remember flea saying behind the sun was dedicated to his brand new baby girl. D.H. smoked as did the black Knight they were up tempo as usual for live and they ripped. Back then they had an Italian restaurant around the corner and had doubles for a 1.00 and triples for 1.25 I think that's right ( shots, not top of shelves if course but when your 19 your just glad to get over🕺). They were definitely part of my sound tract to life as was alot of hard core and metal. Great place to grow up alot of top notch bands and the ease to see them 🤘
