The Red Hot Chili Peppers - Thursday Night In Columbus (Live 1984) (Pitch correction, new edit)
Переглядів 1,9 тис.2 місяці тому
Back in 1984 during the recording of the debut album The Red Hot Chili Peppers had problems with producer Andy Gill who made the songs more polished and, in band’s opinion, “ruined” the original vibe. Anthony & Flea had an idea to invite Slovak & Irons to play on the album, then Gill & the band had an idea to record their live show to give the real dynamic of the band. So the unique live record...
Anthony Kiedis & Flea, Red Hot Chili Peppers - Oom Chucka Willie (New Music Seminar, August 6, 1984)

40 years ago today, 06/08/1984, 4 days before the release of @chilipeppers 1st lp, AK & Flea went to New Music Seminar & gave their very first proper TV interview. I'm happy to unveil this never before seen or broadcasted snippet from it. The duo performing 'Oom Chucka Willie'. The "song" was learned by AK & Flea during their school years & later was recorded for band's first demo tape in May 1...

Once upon a time there was a fake live fail video of "Under the Bridge", where every member failed. So here is THE REAL recording of probably the most clumsy live version of the song. December 3, 1991. Thanks to Leni from RHCP Live Archive for finding this gem.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers (Flea) ft. Thelonious Monster - Higher Ground (Raji's, April 2, 1988)
Переглядів 6327 місяців тому
An interesting jam version of "Higher Ground" played by Flea & Thelonious Monster featuring Dix Denney (?) - a man who was asked to join The Chili Peppers in October 1983 but failed to find a chemistry with the band. Only a year later The Red Hot Chili Peppers will make their famous cover version of Stevie Wonder's "Higher Ground". Raji's, April 2, 1988 Michael Balzary (Flea) - bass Dix Denney ...

Here is a rare recording of "Set it Straight" instrumental demo that The Red Hot Chili Peppers recorded specially for "Tough Guys" movie, January 1986. The final overdubbed version of the song was never released apart from the movie. Finally, 38 years later, an early undubbed version surfaced. Thank to Hamish Duncan (RHCP Sessions Archive, "Out In LA" book writer) and Billy for sharing. Michael...

Переглядів 4,1 тис.11 місяців тому
The Cutting Edge report marked the first appearance of the full lineup of The Red Hot Chili Peppers on musical television. The cameramen visited the RHCP rehearsal space (the rehearsal space belonged to WAR band) and filmed fragments of the rehearsal, as well as several interviews. Filming took place in July/August 1984, and for the first time in decades we are finally able to watch the entire ...

Never before released anywhere fragment of interview in UCLA Pauley Pavilion, September 9, 1992. Includes a very nice part with Clara Balzary (Flea's daughter), Chad & Anthony singing "Down on a Corner" by Creedence Clearwater Revival & a part of band's rehearsal (performing "Give It Away"). Arik Marshall was a guitar player at that time. I upload this video to celebrate 1 year of my RHCP 1982-...

This song has been played by every rhcp guitarist, legendary.
I love this guys❤

THE CHORUS AND SOLO ON BATTLESHIP THO THATS FIRE
Clinton tinha que produzir o próximo álbum 🛸
give us more please!
Funny as always! To the video wizards out there, is it possible to sync the audio/video on this one?
History right here
Amazing, I never get enough of these old videos surfacing hahaha
2 crazy dudes that i love
Arik seemed to be the only natural fit for RHCP besides Hillel and John. Josh too. But Arik doesn’t get the praise he deserves! 🤙
This song shits on anything “Faith no More” has ever vomited. Jk they’re a decent band, but they can’t fuck with the raw funky punk rap power RHCP innovated. Fuck weirdo suburban kids who fanboy over that corny Patton dude. If RHCP are the “poor man’s FNM”, then FNM is the rich snobby suburban knockoff RHCP 😂 🤣
Heroin narcomans
He was so aggressive with he "Wah" and doing the tapping and metal shredding stuffs. Then when he joined to RHCP he became a Strat guy and changed to funky type of guitar playing... with no trace of his past playing style. But I can see here his favorite fast 3 note pattern lick that is hard to do. The bassist of this band is pretty good too. But I think he was already a Hillel Slovak fan before he joined the RHCP.
Any tabs or other for this part/licks ?? 2:42
I wish i could hear “why dont you love me” in better quality, not remastered, just the exact same raw vocals and guitar. hopefully we get the whole album in better quality someday
eu gostei bastante dessa versao, sem os trompetista da pra ver como é melhor o trabalho de baixo e guitarra dessa música
Backwoods Funky Crime SETLIST UNKNOWN
John frusciante with a super Strat doesn’t exist John frusciante with super Strat :
Dang that drum riff in the beginning sounds so similar to the drum riff in Nine Inch Nails song Only.
21 days later I was born and he passed away
Fookin best version ever
It's the same song. Be mad.
😂
I wasn’t born yet lol
So much for hearing from Hillel
David Flea Rot and Van Halen😂
Insanely Cool
❤
Possibly one of the best, if not the best, Michael Beinhorn production. From a Laswell / Material connoisseur, trust me.
Chad ruined the vibe
I wonder what Flea would think of this interview today lol he would probably disagree with everything he said, he sounds extremely ignorant.
Ахуенные перцы!!!!!!)
こんなにサイコーな4人!!彼らにしか出せないケミストリーがそこにはあったな!!
1:20 the dani California line
I wish they’d release a stripped down version of the album that John would be more pleased with. If the whole thing sounded like this it would be amazing
Разъеб, ранние перцы бомба🤘
It’s sad to see him like this when now he’s really accepting and loving about hip hop now
This sounds better than the first album production wise .. Follow up: you already said that .. lol
Thx man! I'm curious what you think of them now? Did you like their new albums?
welcome! to be honest - not a big fan of post-1998 band. there are some songs I like, but in total I don't understand albums like stadium arcadium, not my cup of tea
@@Smxx777 Yeah, agree on SA but I still appreciate Cali and BTW a lot.

youramazing🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Yeah man, this is brilliant! Really captures the true sound of the early days!! Sherman sounds insane!! 🔥🔥🔥
thank you. I am always bored to see comments like "Sherman was stiff, he played too polite". This shows is one of the craziest band's shows ever and the playing is obviously not "too polite".
wait so what exactly was the lineup for this show?
Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Jack Sherman, Cliff Martinez
Somzera🤘🏻
I love you for this man❤ much much appreciated. And I always love to hear new versions of True men don't kill coyotes, an incredibly underrated song
thank you for your kind words!
sure ak... more "dynamic". as if you shouldve even existed in the first few albums that you yourself ruined.
