- For nearly 20 years I had an idea to make a music video for "Nevermind" - the song from The Red Hot Chili Peppers' second album "Freaky Styley" but I didn't have enough footage for it. Now when I have enough - I decided to edit the entire music video. It's a kind of a tribute to Hillel Slovak who passed away on those days in 1988, no commercial profit from this video.
Enjoy!
The band: Anthony Kiedis, Michael Balzary (Flea), Hillel Slovak, Cliff Martinez + George Clinton.
wow this is amazing, george clinton did a great job producing this album. the punk funk days were great
yeah, that's my favorite Chili Peppers record. I always wanted to do a tribute for it, so here's one
This is a really good way to wake up, already saved to my PC :) hehe I Loved it!
Amazing brooo!! Love it. This is one of my favorites!
Clinton tinha que produzir o próximo álbum 🛸
Hardcore Speed Funk!
Amazing work, the audio also sounds crisp. I feel like I’ve not heard it at that quality before?
My one humble request is that you please find an alternative place to host your incredible archive of videos, pictures etc. Is there any way to collab with RHCP Live Archive or RHCP Sessions? I’m sure I’m not along in not being super comfortable using VK with my personal phone number.
Thank you! I just made a mono mix of the song.
A lot of people asked & I have to say I'm friends with both Hamish (Sessions) and Leni (Live), but they both had problems with copyright, so Hamish even had to remove the audio section from his site. Vk now is the only way to upload stuff without being afraid it will be removed.
Genuine sick mix, kinda want to hear your take on the rest of the album now ha!
Ah that’s a shame it’s copyright strikes being their unusual pain in the ass but thanks for replying all the same.
I’ve followed you on Twitter for ages so I just wanted to say that I appreciate all the hard work you’re putting in for the quiet but very much appreciative side of the fans. It’s always awesome seeing all these rare videos and snippets from their formative years. I know Freaky Styley is your fave album (can’t wait for your Funky Monk style doc) but if there’s ever any more cool stuff from Uplift Mofo that comes up in the future I’d love to see/hear it!
@@darthgollumojg thank you for your kind words! Probably I'll upload the mono mix of Freaky Styley someday :)
There are TONS of Uplift Mofo audio sessions stuff (all in my Vk) but sadly few video footage. I'm currently searching gfor full Pinkpop 1988 video, I had it back in 2000s so if I'll find it I will upload it for sure.
I'm happy there are people who also like the early years of the band.

Please upload all the Freaky Styley with this mix, sounds wonderful.
I love the fact that the song is half step up, listening to the whole album with that extra half step must be cool.
this is also a half step higher than the original
Thank you for sharing ❤

😂класс! Спасибо 🙏
Absolutely their best lineup, as far as I'm concerned. Rick Rubin ruined the RHCP -- he turned the most exciting band in the world into the most boring.
Insane take but I like the different perspective old chili peppers is such a different groove that I love
Blood Sugar Sex Magik is their peak. Hillel is legendary but Frusciante really elevates them, and Chad is a way better drummer than anyone they’ve played with
The demo version is way better
George always wanted to be a band member of the red hot chili peppers some sort of a second singer but the band wasn't enthusiastic about that they appreciated him as a producer, then this guy George start talking about all was because hi was black and trash like that
I don’t recall reading anything about that in George’s book. From what I remember they had a good time but there was a lot of cocaine and he thought they were too crazy, too wild an energy and they needed more discipline.
