I just finished mine. This was the first amigurumi I've ever done, but I knew the basics of crochet. Mine turned out to look more like a dog, but for my first attempt it's not terrible.
This was the first ever crochet project I tried. it was around a year ago and I made a floppy, uneven little bunny and I immediately fell in love with crochet. Today I came back to make him a brother, and seeing how much I’ve improved made me so happy. Such a lovely tutorial.
These bitty bunnies are adorable. Instantly I knew this is what I was searching for for my first great grandchild coming in October. Thank you so much for all the effort, work and love you put in to doing these tutorials, patterns and videos.
Thank you so much for your generosity filming this tutorial and for the pattern ❤ I just finished my bunny a few days ago and I also have to thank you for getting me into amigurumi! Sending a big hug your way from Chile. ❤
Thank you, Elise. Another great video! This itty Bitty Bunny tutorial is excellent. I appreciate that you are one of those people who insists on FIRM stuffing (except for the arms and ears) for the bunny! As a cloth doll maker for years, I learned early on that if one was lax in stuffing firmly, our projects tended to “flop”, instead of sitting/standing appropriately. In doll exchanges, I would knit or crochet my doll/animal and stuff well and send off a well-finished project to the recipient. Quite often, my exchange doll/animal would already be limp by the time it arrived in the mail. Such a disappointment! If a project is made for a very young person, we don’t want it to be too hard. However, FIRM tends to soften to a nice comfy critter which stays lovely for years. My daughter was an infant when I made a stuffed rabbit for her. It was firm, yet soft and lovely. Over 50 years later, it still holds its shape! The “fur” on it is “well-loved” like in the story of the Velveteen Rabbit, but it is still HER “Bun-bun”!!! Thanks, again!
Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for sharing that information!! How wonderful that your daughter's bunny still has its shape after all these years!! 🐰💖🐰
I just finished making Beatrice. She isn't perfect, and a couple of times I for frustrated, but this is my first amigurumi. So, I pushed through, and I just love her! ❤Even though she isn't perfect 🎉
I can’t wait to make this bunny!!! It seems to be a great base for a bear or a simple dolly too. I’d love to figure out how to make a dress or overalls. Add a cute sun hat and glasses….. thank you fir teaching and inspiring! You’re a blessing to me! Hugs, Janice
Just finished my little girl bunny & she is so cute. I downloaded the pattern from your website, followed it & watched the video to help with the trickier bits. I love the fact that there’s minimal sewing as I don’t like sewing at all! I’m thinking of trying another bunny with thicker yarn & a larger hook - time will tell if it’s a success. Thanks for a great pattern & video.
I finished mine two days ago and off it went to my granddaughter. I think it can pass for a dog, but it doesnt matter - it was my first amigurumi and i think it came out good and everyone loves it! Thank you--- you are really fun to follow and a great instructor! My best to you always. I
My first amigurumi. I’m making Benedict and so far so good. I’m done the head, body and one leg. I am using Lily Sugar ‘n’ Cream 100% cotton yarn in weight 4 with 3.5 mm hook and he’s almost 11 inches tall!
Hello Elise! Thank you for the amazing video, it was a definite help for this beginner. I just made the Catster last weekend. I just finished this bunny after starting yesterday, and he came out perfectly adorable. I even took a crack at making him a little tail, not going to lie, I'm pretty impressed with the work I did!
These bunnies were so fun to make and very easy to follow directions. I made the boy and the girl. I just love how they came out. Thank you so much for the free patterns. ❤
I just finished making mine and I love it! I'm calling mine Andrew 😊 Thanks for sharing this video. I've been watching so many of your videos and they've been helping me a lot.
thanks for this tutorial, this is exactly the type of bunny i was looking for! i recently found out im expecting and im trying to learn how to make a bunch of cute things for my baby
These bunnies are so so cute. After i finish my current project i will give them a go for sure 💖 Thanks for sharing this wonderful project & tutorial with us, much appreciated 😘
I started watching your videos a couple of years ago and you inspired me to learn to knit. Seems only fitting I use this video to learn to crochet toys next ☺️ can’t wait to try
Hi Elise! What a lovely tutorial. I would consider myself as an advanced amigurumi maker, and your tutorial was spot on. Excellent job on making the body one piece!! I can't wait to make your "brother and sister" duo. Have a great weekend 😊💕
Thank you for this video Elise. I have just purchased your pattern bundle today. So this will be a great help then I get to the bunnies. I am currently trying out the catster. I will try a few of them before trying this one. Tank you again 💕
Love this bunny! Can’t wait to make them for my great nieces. They are going to love them! Thanks for making the tutorial!! Have a wonderful 4th of July weekend! 😊
I've been finished this tutorial bunny project this week but mine is look like a sheep than bunny 😂 , thank you so much this is so helpfull and very easy to make for my first time make a amigurumi doll ❤
Thank you for your superb video. Your instructions were very clear and precise. I hope to make he bunnies soon. Am I able to download the written instructions with Adobe or do I have to download them with the link that shows? Many thanks your crochet website is fantastic!
You are amazing you make this so easy. I saw your video on how to stuff the head and how to stuff in general how do I know if I’m stuffing it too tight I feel like my head on my first bunny is a lot larger than yours.
It's good to just experiment to see what works best for you. You don't want to stretch the stitches, but you want to stuff enough that when it deflates a little it won't look squishy. Hope that makes sense! ❤️
I made both the boy and the girl! Thank you for this wonderful tutorial! I love the way you did the legs so you did not have to sew them on! Do you have any patterns for clothes I could make for the boy bunny? He looks a little naked next to the fully clothed girl bunny!
I cannot wait to make this adorable bunny, I hope mine turns out well. I’m a complete beginner, I just started learning to crochet today! I got this kit for Harry Potter characters and lord have I been struggling to make them especially because im learning along the way… don’t think that kit was absolute beginner friendly 😅 but hey it’s helping me learn a lot I guess
That's wonderful! Amigurumi can be tricky at first. Be patient with yourself and know that with time you'll be able to make those Harry Potter toys!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I find keeping track of the rows difficult too! Just last night had that exact problem! I made one leg longer than the other one and knew I had missed a row or two somewhere! 🐰🐰🐰
I’m in the middle of doing the girl now. One tip is that when you add her eyes and nose to do it on the opposite side from where your stitch marker is. That’s because you will be doing stripes for her shirt and changing colors. I had the stitch marker in the front of the doll so when I changed colors at the beginning of the round, the front of the doll showed the disconnected rows whereas the back of the doll had beautiful stripes. I ended up working a hack so that my stitch marker stayed where it was but I switched colors on the back of the doll.
@@EliseRoseCrochet I could have pulled my face out and done it on the other side. Maybe that would have been better. But my face was pretty good and I didn’t want to redo it. 😂
@@EliseRoseCrochet I had another odd problem. My Beatrice has embroidered eyes and nose. Now that I’m done with her body and it is stuffed and closed up, her eyes and nose are now off center. I think I’ll have to redo them. I’m not sure how this happened. I’m thinking maybe when I divided for the legs I didn’t get them centered?
Thank you so much for this. I have always loved the Bitty Bunnies. I would love a brief tutorial on Bernadette's nose. I am enamored with her but can't seem to get her snout to work correctly. I gave up on her but have always wanted to try again. In the meantime I'll work on the bunny. 🙂
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you like the Bitty Bunnies!! 🐰 I really should do a tutorial for the snout for Bernadette Bear. 🐻 There's one already on my channel for how to secure it, but not how to make it. Also the tutorial is my very first video ever and I didn't film it horizontally and it's just awful, so it's not worth linking to it! 😂

Hi Elise... Me again... I'm making the girl bunny now. How do you do the color change from the base color to pink, etc? I was wondering bc of the dis/jointed color placement of the rows. Thank you! Tori
A newbie here-when do you fasten or weave in the tail from the beginning round? I didn’t see that mentioned-did I miss it or is it just supposed to be obvious?? This pattern is so cute and I don’t want to miss anything.
Hi There! I absolutely love your channel. You have inspired me to make amigurumi. I am hooked (pun intended 😊). So I made the girl bunny and she turned out pretty good but her skirt is inside out. How do I fix that for the next one.
Did you stuff the Bunny’s arms? It looks like you did in the first bunny but not in the one you crochet in the video. Or am I seeing it wrong? Thank you ! Love your videos and tutorials ❤
Oh no! I checked and everything seems to be working fine. The pattern will go to your inbox within five minutes or so, it isn't always automatic! Please let me know if you don't receive your free pattern! 🐰🌿💖
i have a friend who is going through a hard time, and i want to make this for them as a gift.. but i also want to make it weighted for them to help with their anxiety at night. i'm assuming to make the toy bigger, id have to double the amount of stitches or something along those lines? would you have an easy way to calculate how many stitches id need?
Elise, is it important to use worsted wt yarn? I have yarn I purchased at Christmas time for craft projects I was going to make but didn’t. I went through what I got. I have a stonewash from Sugar & Cream 2.5oz that is worsted & I Love This Yarn Sport weight in Ivory 2.5 oz. Lol I got them from Hobby Lobby before I knew the differences in yarns until I watched you and Robin’s (Hooked by Robin) videos ❤❤❤ Boy I’m HOOKED now 😊. Gayle
For the Bitty Bunnies pattern you want to have the same weight yarn for both the body and the ears. If you use the worsted weight yarn for the body and the sport weight for the ears you will end up with a bunny with very small ears! 🐰 If you don't mind that, then go for it. I find that I learn the most by actually doing things and then looking back to see what worked and didn't work! Hope that helps!! 🐰🐰🐰
Elise, I’m so so confused. I decided to hit Joann’s for yarn. I was there almost 2 1/2 hrs. I want to make the Bitty Bunnies. So I got the 24/7 cotton yarn from Lion Brand which says it’s a 4 medium then 4 medium. No way do the strands look the same. I read somewhere the all cotton in 4 is good for amigurumi. PLEASE HELP ME. IM SO CONFUSED. Thank you Elise.
@@gaylelazarus2394 I think that will be a great yarn to use. It's ok if the different colors are slightly different in their thickness. Yarn will vary and it all works out in the end. You can do this! 🐰🐰
on the skirt you said *Ch 3, slst into same st, slst into next st, slst into next st;* repeat from * around you dont ch3 anymore ? ch3 slst same st , slst next st then ch3 right?

Hi Elise! The link (on your website) to purchase the PDF for these cuties doesn’t seem to be working…thank you for the tutorial!💕

I’m excited to try and make him into a pumpkin bunny for Fall! And maybe a scarecrow bunny 🍂🍁🌾…….Karen from Greenleaf Idaho ☺️
Thanks so much, Karen!! And your fall bunnies sound adorable! 🐰🍁🍄
Sorry, but I've already made a scarecrow ✔️😁
i have a friend who is going through a hard time, and i want to make this for them as a gift.. but i also want to make it weighted for them to help with their anxiety at night. i'm assuming to make the toy bigger, id have to double the amount of stitches or something along those lines?
would you have an easy way to calculate how many stitches id need?
The best way to make it larger is to use a heavier weight yarn like a chunky yarn and a larger hook size! 🐰🐰🐰
PLEASE! I need a video tutorial on how to put the skirt on the girl bunny!!!
very cute
Thank you so much! 💖💖💖
Is it possible to get a video tutorial showing how to make the girl bunny skirt and bow? Iam a newbie at this and could use the reference. Thank you!
Thanks for the suggestion! You can also check out the blog post where I show photos of how to do it as well! Hope that helps! 🐰🐰
Thank you! I will do that. I so appreciate all you do and am very grateful to have found your site. Kind regards!

Thank you!! 🐰🐰🐰
I have never been able to find something under description? How and where do I find that.
The best way to find it is to do a Google search for how to find the description box on your particular device! ❤️
