Neutral Posture NPS8600 Ergonomic Chair Review

- Office chairs aren't the norm for this channel, but I wanted to share my personal thoughts/review of the Neutral Posture NPS8600 Ergonomic Chair for anyone out there that may be interested in this option as there aren't many reviews out there on it. I've used this chair for over a year now, so here are my thoughts in 2021 on this Neutral Posture chair and whether or not it's worth purchasing. Not sponsored! I did not receive this product for free.

Did you end up selling it ? Where are you located ?
On a serious note, I can’t deal with chairs that have the head rest at the top. I don’t need it and whenever I lean back, I always found them way more annoying and uncomfortable than actually useful and the “flat top” chairs, if you will, served me much better in that respect.
I find that sometimes the headrest works really well for me - in this chair, since it's too big for me, it doesn't work at all 😅
Please keep going with a Videos! You are very good, great voice as well.
I wonder if this chair is available in different sizes.
The curve of the cushion and the back can be customized; I don't think the depth of it can be, though, which was the issue I had with it.

Thanks for the video! Did you get the Nightingale CXO HD? If so, how is it working out for you? I have the same chair in your video (Neutral Posture 8600) and my experience is the same as yours; it hurts my butt.
How do you get your health insurance to cover it? Just give them a call after you get a doctors note?
I don't understand. You said if you were taller/heavier this chair would be fantastic, but you said your tailbone hurts and need another cushion. I'm trying to decide between a Neutral Posture chair and an ERA chair. I'm looking for a chair I can sink into. I tried the Leap Plus and it was waaaaay too firm for me haha. It stinks living int he boonies and not having anyplace nearby where you can actually sit in different models.
I can see how that would be confusing; cushions - especially foam ones - can be made of different weights/thickness of foam that feel differently based on the person's weight. It's just like foam mattresses - if you're over 250 pounds, you want a foam mattress that's at least 16" thick, if you're under that, you probably want one that's between 11-13" thick, if it's for a child, you'd want one below 11" thick, etc. For me, because I'm not heavy/tall enough for this chair, I can't position myself in a way on this seat that the foam actually molds to me the way it would for someone larger than myself. I hope this makes more sense!
@@TravelersWarden That makes sense. My foam mattress is soft but crazy thick at 16"--I love it though! I just pulled the trigger on an ERA Newport chair. I'm terrified spending over $2,400 on a chair without sitting in it but fingers crossed!

@@TravelersWarden Question, did you get the extra memory foam in yours or no? I'm trying to decide on whether to pull the trigger on this chair as someone who is 6'5 200.
I've tried the Leap Plus and the Leap v2, but those seats are too firm for me and too contoured.
@@peterb9553 I did. It didn't help. The most comfortable seat I've found to date is the Nightingale CXO, bar none.
Can you tell me how the insurance payments worked? Did you buy then submit a receipt?

... or not... How much d'ya want for it, with shipping to Utah? It'll be a few months before I get my next disability back-payment, but I'll use some of that time to see if I can get my insurance to pay for part of it. If you can wait a little while.. well, I can also see if I can get money a few months before the payment is deposited.
