Sir, aren't we already taking the limiting case by assuming static equilibrium? In that case, we shouldn't calculate P min. as the P we have got is already a minimum value as we have assumed intended scenario. Hope I am clear with my question.
Sir how the vertical component is taken as sine i,e for vertical component it should be Wsine and for horizontal Wcos should be there but you have written in reverse. please clarify my doubt sir
Rajesh....Wcostheta has been taken into account. I would suggest you to watch it again... Remember, Along the inclined plane - X direction - Wsintheta Perpendicular to inclined plane - Y Direction - WCostheta
You can write it But in the question beta was not mentioned .hence we have to write the final answer in terms of variables given in the question .Thats why we wrote value of mu (friction coefficient) as tan(fai)
Do some examples
sir,what if they ask " magnitude of P to keep it from moving down "
Sir,Can I have problems related to wedges in friction?
Sir could you tell how the W is making an angle of theta with the normal?

Sir can we take the friction on another side .if we take value of P will be much smaller .Please clarify my doubt

It doesn't depend on vertical and horizontal. The axis with which the angle is created is the cosine and the other one is sine.
Sir small doubt.,
In equilibrium of Vertical forces why weight of body was not considered

In this question can I written as P=W{Sin(fai+bita)/cos(fai-bita)}

what do you do now a days
Hello sir
