Well said. Decided to watch this video again today (9/11/20) after seeing social media posts in remembrance of the events that happened in 2001. What an amazing country we live in and we will never forget.
Niko..thanks for this..when you were overcome with emotion it took me back to when I took my grandfather to see Lady Liberty years ago..keep in mind he was a stoic man..strong ...fearless and most times showed emotion sparingly....we got off the ferry and he stood silent looking up..I watched him as tears started to form ..his mouth silently said.."thank you" as if he were talking to her....he slid his arm around my shoulder and asked me to walk with him..at 89 years old he walked up to the top with me...all.the time I kept a eye on him in case he faltered..when we reached the top and looked over the harbor we stood together his arm around my shoulders..I felt him grasp me and pull me closer..he just looked out over the skyline and murmured... "this is why we came Matthew...this is why we stayed..dont ever take it for granted" My grandfather and people like him and you who stepped into a world unfamiliar and built a life are what makes our country strong..and why in these times we will come out the other side stronger ..you and yours stay safe amigo..
People like you are what makes America great. A true immigrant now American who saw a dream and worked hard for it. You have done what those millions of immigrants before you did. You are living your dream! Prayers and blessing to you and your family. I pray you have many more dreams come true and for your continued success.
I salute you sir. My dad, who passed in 2014, was a U.S. Navy officer for 31 years. You have the attitude which all who come to this country should have, and truly embody what an American should be.
Immigrant here, and proud of you! American for 1-year today and this video reminded me of how great it is to be a part of this great nation! Love your channel, Niko!
The most powerful and moving video you've made. It's awesome to see someone who loves the United States as you do. A 30-year belated welcome, it's great to have you here. Thanks for sharing this incredible time.
You're emotions were spot on. It takes maturity to understand the significance of the statue of liberty and other landmarks through out this great country that represent the sacrifice of those that came before us. When I watched this video today... Thanksgiving day... I gave thanks again. Thank you for sharing those feelings that welled up inside you my brother. God bless you, God Bless American and God bless everyone through history that made our freedoms possible.
Amen. God Bless you and God Bless America. You appreciate Freedom, some are trying to take it away from us, but God will not let that happen. Love your videos.
Without leaving my room, I could enjoy this beautiful moment; Gratitude is one of the noblest feelings man can feel; and share this moment with us, show how good you are! Keep flying .... and carry us on your wings!
Your emotions were contagious! How beautiful to watch someone appreciate one of the greatest symbols of freedom and opportunity in the world. With all the news coverage of people who come to the US to take with out giving and acting entitled, it really contrasts how you clearly feel about your success. Congratulations on taking advantage of the opportunities available. I know you worked hard, took smart chances, and persevered when times were tough. I'm happy for your success. As a born US citizen, I admire what you have done and, you are an example and inspiration to me!
Ahh, I got something in my eyes again! BEAUTIFUL video, Niko!! In the early part of the 20th Century, my great-grandmother and great-grandfather escaped from Russian-occupied Lithuania. I only have my great-grandmother's story (they escaped at different times, as he was much older than her). She paid a German man a sum of money to get her out of there without being caught by Russian soldiers. He brought her to a field, he pointed across. My great-grandmother said, "What am I supposed to do here?" The man said, "RUN! Run before they see you!" And she ran ... and the rest is history. She made it into Poland, then to Germany, and eventually got on a boat an sailed towards the Statue of Liberty. We love you, Niko! Glad to have you as a fellow American. May God continue to bless and protect you and your family.
I am a born and raised U.S. citizen so I cannot know the struggles you and others have faced to join us. I have seen it first hand when one of my employees from Afghanistan completed several years of effort to become a citizen. All I can say is thank you for sharing and "Welcome" again to this great country!!
God Bless you Niko.... you are a rare breed today, you appreciate this country. My grandparents were Italian immigrants that came through Ellis Island and were very proud to call themselves Americans, they loved this country as well and made sure their children did. I grew up in Jersey City and saw that beautiful lady in the harbor very often, and my dad used to tell us, don't ever forget what she stands for and always honor her and this great country.Thank you Niko.
Niko, thanks for sharing. I grew up in NYC my entire life, emigrating from Yugoslavia. Lady Liberty always stirs my spirit; even still. God bless you, and God bless America. Safe flying.
Amazing Niko! Every American should feel what you felt as you saw Lady Liberty! My great grandfather and every immigrant has made this country what it is today. God bless you and yours my fellow American! Safe travels and thank you for sharing your story! 😊
Eight years ago I crossed the GWB headed north to Canada from Key West. Seeing you cross just over it gave me a whole new perspective. What a memory relived! The sight of Lady Liberty from your plane gets me teared up every time. God bless her!
Thank you for this lovely video. As you fly around Lady Liberty, I had the same reaction...tears, for the wonder of our beautiful America. We are blessed to call you our fellow citizen.
“Born in Greece, but made in America.” Niko, that line literally brought some emotions outta me bud. America is a land of opportunity and your living proof of what motivation, knowledge and determination can do. An American made from immigrants myself, several generations before me of Irish, Scottish, German and French that settled in the Appalachians, looked at that very statue before making their way West. It fills me with happiness that you’ve accomplished all you have in this great land we call home. Go raibh Maithili agat. Merci. Vielen Dank. Tapadh leat. Thank you. (No I’m not fluent in all the languages, but I can be polite and find a pub, the essentials)
Great stuff Niko! I am so proud to be an American and will certainly not ever forget we were founded and remain strong because of our history of immigrants coming here to make a better life for themselves and their families. In the process, we ALL became and remain a great nation of immigrants. Thank you for sharing your story.
Dude, your video reminded me the day I became an American Citizen. There was a moment in the ceremony when they showed a video, and in the video the Statue appeared and the words: “ Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free” appeared. I started crying uncontrollably. Your words exactly. All the things this country has done for so many people. It means so much. Thanks for your video.
Born and raised in America. My great grandparents landed on Ellis island. I’ve Never seen the Statue of Liberty in person, but it is on my list. Never once thought I would get emotional about it until I watched your video. Another reminder of how easy it is to take what I was given for granted. Thanks for the reminder and the excellent video.
Niko, as a citizen born in the United States, it is touching to hear and see the tears of gratitude that you had while viewing The Statue of Liberty. I wish every American would have that same gratitude and value THEIR freedom as much as you do. I love your videos and the hard work you put into editing is readily evident. Keep up the good work, my friend!
Thanks Niko!!! As always sitting with you as a passenger just makes me happy for people like you, sharing the experiences that you bring to us. God bless you, your family, and America!!!
You’re a GREAT American Nikos!!! I grew up only half a mile from the Statue of Liberty, and also still get choked up each time I arrive home and see her standing tall Awesome video...and thanks for sharing..
Niko, you sure brought me to tears. Has an immigrant & fellow aviator. I applaud & feel your emotions. “God Bless you” indeed. And God bless you Niko. Thank you kindly for sharing. Emotional
Over the last several days I have watched hours of your videos. This is by far my favorite. It is immigrants like you, who our country was meant to receive with open arms. God bless you and your family. I’d love to meet you, on your next stop here in Las Vegas. Keep up the great work with your videos. They’re very much appreciated.
Thanks Rick! I love this country so much and I’m grateful to be called an American! I think I earned it and deserve it and I work hard to give back in any way I can.
You’re such a genuine and humble man Niko. You hit my heart with this video. Phenomenal footage and I’m sure they images shall remain in your head forever. You should be very proud of the person you come across in these videos. Keep up the great videos.
Well, this 57 year old fella had to pause and wipe my eyes. Thank you for joining us in America, sharing your story & travels, and showing us Ellas,, too. May you, Karen, & Zoe be blessed. You inspire me to inspire others!
I too have seen that statue up close and personal. I know only of you what I have learned in the last several years of watching your videos. I learned something very important about you today. You really love this country. You are proud to be here. I would be proud to call you friend. Take care best to you and your beautiful family. Kenny from Calif.
Niko, you as an immigrant to America, really show your appreciation to be part of this great country! We are glad you made the journey and you are able to experience to fly your own airplane in this great land of the USA! 🇺🇸 Thank you for sharing! As a U.S. citizen, we are all immigrants in some way or fashion. I too am blessed to be a part of this great country, I just wish all would show the same! 😊 Don
Thanks for this video! I am a US Army veteran and can say of all your videos I have seen, this is my favorite! I had the opportunity to take my daughters there last year and stand on the base of the Statue of Liberty! It truly is amazing to see in person!!! As a private pilot myself, I would love to have the opportunity to fly that same course someday! Thanks again Niko!!
You are a very kind soul indeed. This was a very touching video. I was so taken aback by your visceral response to seeing the Statue of Liberty. From a Canadian living in Paris. Now, where is that Kleenex when I need it? 🙏🏻
Nice to watch this again. I was a passenger on a AA flight arriving into LaGuardia. We were tracking along the Hudson during an awesome sunset over Manhattan. Memorable 🗽
Absolutely beautiful. The feelings are mutual. Thanks for sharing your special moment with us. Didn't know you have a sister. She is very proud of you. Fly safe Niko.
Niko.... welcome to my neck of the woods, born and raised in NY! This video really touched me .. absolutely love it. You inspire many and I personally Thank You brother! I felt the raw emotion you were feeling and it’s AWESOME! We’re glad to have you. Keep doing what your doing.. Huge fan of your channel!
I may not know you Niko, but I am so happy to ride with you and share this proud moment with you in this video. She is beautiful by land, sea and air. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and emotion with all of us, Niko. Even though I'm a fourth generation American, you chocked me up imagining my great grandfather as he saw the Statue of Liberty as his ship sailed past it to Ellis Island in 1905.
God Bless you Niko! This video made me cry. Even though I was born in the USA, listening to your story made me appreciate all that I have today even more. Thank You Brother-! Safe Journey's Always-!
Nice video Paisano... This one means a lot to me too... My father at the age of 19, arrived with his parents and his 6 sisters in 1955 to Ellis Island, so when I had the chance to visit them both, I did... Thnx for bringing me back to remember that visit... I'm truly glad that you are here in the US...
This was so cool to watch!!! I wasn’t able to take the ferry when I went recently but I saw her from a distance. When I go back, I want to go inside! 🗽 Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you Niko. I have also make the trip up The Hudson Corridor (in a Piper Cherokee). My emotional moment was looking to my left and seeing the Freedom Tower. God Bless America!
Wonderful to see this video again Nico and your reaction while circling Lady Liberty. What an amazing moment. I also felt the same way as I circled her in the summer of 1983, my first time in America. Keep on making the videos, they’re wonderful to watch. Thanks
From all the videos of yours that I have seen, this may be probably the best. Thanks for showing us the truth of what lies inside the cockpit of that beautiful plane you fly... "So many dreams begin, and end, with the promise of flight" Lorenzo Lamas
Beautiful - thanks for sharing. I've only seen it once - but it was on a friends yacht and we had breakfast as we were anchored just off the foot of the statue. Breathtaking! God Bless America!
Great video, We are glad to have such a great person and more people LIKE you are welcome. My family were immigrants 5 generations ago and we all decided to join the military to give back a tradition that still lives on to this day, I since have retired from the Army but it was a great experience. I would not trade it for anything. Now I need to kick the flu and finish my pilots training the memorization is killing me, and pointers are welcome.
Niko each day you get up or see the Beautiful Creations that we. Are all thankful and blessed with a Family that Loves and my Bride and I was on a Cruise ship that came very close to seeing the Statue of Liberty and what a great view you had and it's ok to get emotional because we all do and you are a cool guy and if you ever fly to the North eastern region come pick me up to ride along side with you in the Cirrus SR22T.
Hey man. You define the American success story. With all the BS going on with people in this country, this video was a breath of fresh air. A man who came to a foreign country and has achieved his life’s dreams. Thanks Niko for sharing this and allowing your emotions to shine through, and showing your appreciation for the greatest country on the planet.
Thankyou for taking us along with you on such a powerful flight. God bless you and your family Niko and keep inspiring people, you are proof that the American dream is real!
Excellent video Niko!!! From those of us who have defended the freedoms many of our countrymen take for granted I wanted to say thank you for this video. It’s a reminder of how grateful we should all be. Again thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings. Keep up the great work. I enjoy your content and echo the sentiment if you are ever back in Nashville TN give me a shout. Would love to grab lunch with you.
The moment you choked up, I choked up. Thanks for sharing! You've got a great American story. An immigrant flying a (not cheap) aircraft around the statue... the promise of this nation on full display. You did this, Niko. All America promises is that you can if you do. You're the one who put the do into it. I admire your achievements. Congratulations, and welcome to America! God bless you and your family. Late to watch it, hit just as hard.
Thanks Skip! That’s what America is all about. The only place on earth where an immigrant that stays honest and works hard can achieve the life of his/her dreams. I’m not the only one. Millions and millions have done it and continue doing it. There’s zero politics to this, all honest and truth human feelings being grateful for making the right choices.
This is amazing!!! So proud of what you have become and accomplished brother. 👏👏Ο Θεός να σε έχει παντα καλά🙏🙏🙏και καλά ταξίδια ❤️❤️❤️

Niko, thank you for beautifully reminding us what truly makes this country so wonderful.
I'm not a pilot butI love watching your videos and could watch all day. You are awesome!
I've enjoyed your videos for months, but this one was really special. Thanks for doing what you do. You are an inspiration to us newbies.
God bless America! And thank you Niko for sharing this inspiring moment! We are blessed to have you!
Now *THAT* is what our amazing country is all about. God bless you, fellow AMERICAN!
Thank you Niko. I have also make the trip up The Hudson Corridor (in a Piper Cherokee). My emotional moment was looking to my left and seeing the Freedom Tower. God Bless America!
Very nice, what a feeling. We sailed passed that LADY in 2012 on our way south, I remember the ants in my stomach. Thanks !!!
Wonderful to see this video again Nico and your reaction while circling Lady Liberty. What an amazing moment. I also felt the same way as I circled her in the summer of 1983, my first time in America. Keep on making the videos, they’re wonderful to watch. Thanks
God Bless you, young man. You are one of the good ones that have blessed our soil. Stay forever!
From all the videos of yours that I have seen, this may be probably the best. Thanks for showing us the truth of what lies inside the cockpit of that beautiful plane you fly...

Beautiful - thanks for sharing. I've only seen it once - but it was on a friends yacht and we had breakfast as we were anchored just off the foot of the statue. Breathtaking! God Bless America!
As an immigrant as well you've done well bro keep it up, God bless America
Beautiful heartfelt video! Thank you for sharing the beauty of flight with those of us who will never have the chance to see this!
Excellent brother! A bucket list experience in our C-TR182 one day. We have so much to be thankful for as Americans.
Thanks for taking us along! Truly moving....
The video and your reaction touched my heart. May God bless you and your loved ones most of all God Bless America

Congrats brother! Appreciate you and sharing part of your story. Well done! 30 years...doing it.

Awesome Niko. What a beautiful tribute to America. Thanks
5 Stars brother! I had watched this after I saw the heading! That’s what an American does!
The true emotion of aviation ... captured.
thank you for your contribution to this nation,, some others NEED to understand what that statue signifies!!!
And we're glad you are here and doing very well my friend. God bless
